And if you like parks, Hendrickson is a must see!Something for everyone...pond with fountains, beautiful cherry blossoms, willows by the stream, memorial path with seating for quiet relaxation, tennis courts, bike paths, walking/jogging, plenty or geese and other birds, a young childrens playground, circuit training on the trail, and walking/biking acces to Valley Stream State Park.When visiting, please remember... take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints.Bonus - Plan your visit on Sunday during hours the Pagan Fletcher House is open for tours. It is located just outside the park on the north end and can share a wealth of Valley Stream history... including pictures of when the pond at Hendrickson Park was a beach!

Beautiful park, lots of space, lovely water feature. Just have to be careful of huge packs of families of people who dont wear masks and let children terrorize the wildlife

This is one of the best parks I have ever been too. It makes you feel like youre in another state or country. Bringing my kids here is the best. There is a bike lane and walking lane. There is beautiful stream running through the middle of the park. So many beautiful birds like ducks and geese. I will always go to this park and visit.

My sisters and I were there to do a 2-mile walk. I enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the park. Others on the trail were hospitable. Overall nice clean park. They had a swimming pool (closed of course). Miniature golf (also closed). Enjoyed watching the ducks in the water along the trail.

Ive been going to this park for over a year now and its one of the nicest parks Ive been to. Its beautiful during all times of the year and is always active. Always clean, and welcomes such a friendly atmosphere.

Park is great for exercising, taking walks or riding your bike. It has a beautiful lake in the middle with live swans which makes for great scenery. Their is a pool as well as tennis courts and basketball courts. Their is also plenty of parking. I recently moved to the neighborhood, and I find Hendrickson park one of the best things Valley Stream has to offer.

Great for walking/bike riding. The park is built around the lake. It has 2 separate lanes. One for walkers/runners, the other for bikers; a swimming pool and playground(closed due to the pandemic); squirrels,ducks, birds, butterflies, fish;some benches along the way. Well maintained.

Our go-to park for swimming and playing in the kids area. Such refreshing views! 3 clean pools and multiple lifeguards are on duty when the pools are open from June-Sept! Peaceful trails for walking or running! Activities for kids throughout the year! Highly recommended!

Stay fit and Motivated with VSRC. This is our training home base. Beginner, Marathoner or just want to get out, come to Hendrickson. You can bike, run,walk. Its amazing how many people visit the park

The park has a nice overall feel. It is calm, quiet, and people are generally nice. The grass is kept low, and there is minimum trash on the floor. There is a large lake in the middle of the park where you can see school of fish and beautiful ducks.However, there is garbage in the lake, and right now, many people arent practicing safe social distancing. This is a very busy park with lots of bike riders. If you are worried about being too close to strangers during the covid-19 pandemic, this park may not be for you.

It is a delightful park to visit. There is a walking trail. Exercise classes are held. There ilis a swimming pool. You can sit around the pond. I look forward to visiting again.

Nice place to spend family time. It has a community pool and playground. There are also places to play tennis and basketball. The trail also connects with the valley stream national park so its like two parks in one trail.

Its a quiet place, kids of ages walk around with a glee on their faces! A lake is situated in the middle of the park!

Valleystream Park is huge and has so many recreation areas like playgrounds for kids, a pond where you can walk around to see the fish, swans and turtle. They have open 4 pools for all ages and very beautiful areas to enjoy a family barbecue.

Excellent park with a small running/cycling track, behind the Valley Stream pool. It is also connected to Valley Stream State Park so a good stroll is feasible. Nice atmosphere with playground areas for kids.

Beautiful but all water areas need attention. Water merky and some places dried up to mud.

Its quiet, it has lots of green trees, a bicycle trail, a lake and lots of workouts stations and a pool area. Its well maintained and appeared secured by the presence of park rangers and or park police.

This has become a daily routine. A walk in the park, the surroundings are absolutely beautiful and serene.

Its miniature Central Park, its so nature & the trees are so tall & have natural pond & childrens playgrounds & barbecue areas for picnics & walking trails family fun areas

I usually enjoy this park. I wouldnt go back till after the pandemic. A lot of people without masks and not practicing social distancing.

A really nice park. People whi visit must be vigilant in keeping it clean.

Great park for a walk, run, bike etc. with a lake and cool greenery. They have many benches too.Theres a pool thats access to Valley Stream residences only I believe and public bathrooms to use.Full path is around 1.5 miles long and the shorter loop is about 1 mile. There is nice shade on one side of the path from the trees.

Great place to go for a walk. Absolutely beautiful especially in the spring when the trees are blooming over the lake. If you like weeping willows this is the park for you. Has a lot of pokestops so those that play will be in heaven. You can cross a street and enter valley stream state park for extra mileage on your walk!

Great park for many things. The jogging/bike trail circles a large pond which is a highlight. All types of courts and playgrounds. Large pool also. If you keep going north there is a nature trail that leads to more picnic space.

Very nice swimming facility! Clean and family friendly. The lifeguards are attentive and courteous. Bring cash as they dont accept credit at the snack bar.

Great little park for families ok kids under 12. There are a dozen or so picnic tables, beverage machine and bathrooms. Swings for older kids and babies. A sand box and two jungle gyms, one for kids 2-5 and the other for kids 5-12. My biggest complaint are the cement whales and sea creatures in the middle of the park. They look beautiful but are extremely dangerous. Ive seen a few accidents on them. The solution is to set clear boundaries for your kids play area and keep them away from that area.

Its a great park to enjoy a walk around the track... There is a swimming pool and mini golf, tennis courts, handball court . there is a community center where there are a lot of activities.

I dont understand why there is security at the entrance and block off valley stream residential children from playing.

Finally got there today for my workout, 12:45 pm jumped in the pool, water woke me up, lifeguards galore, swam my 1100 meters.. all was good spotless facility, showers, changing room, bathrooms, clean as all can be...not sure if the kiddie area was open yet....snack bar looked open... Just cant say enough on how this facility was so clean...KEEP IT UP, when summer really hits well see...
