This place is very clean and the staff is very kind and helpful to make your stay the best it can be also the campsites are very nice and the rope lights and cover picnic tables are very nice and the amenities and attractions are out of this world. I highly recommend this campground to any family or person. And if you dont like fun this place is sure to turn that frown up side down!
This was our first time at this Jelly And I have to say it was like being around family! Everyone to the staff and the guests were amazing and friendly. I have never waved at so many people. The kids really enjoyed the jump pillow and the outdoor movies. We will definitely be back. Thanks you Tyler for a fun weekend!
We recently stayed at this Jellystone Park. My family and I had the most fantastic time here. This is our second stay here and our 6th within the Jellystone locations. The staff are always welcoming, accommodating and the friendliest.I cannot wait until we can come back, relax and just enjoy Tyler and Whispering Pines.
Lots to do, park was great, but because my son is different as in autistic had a few discouraging moments. Parents pls teach our kids to love all even kids who are made different they didnt ask to be born like that and we should always treat others how we like to be treated. Thank u
Definitely top notch accommodation. It might be busy in summer or on weekends, but during the week, in October, it is calm and you feel like you have the whole place to yourself. The weather is perfect too! There are several people who stay here for extended periods of time but they all have their little nook in the back of the park. The whole place is very clean and inviting, the owners are social and friendly and the bathroom/showers are pristine. Love it!
All the people are always very friendly and helpful. Maddie has always gone above and beyond with everything, Kate has wonderful attitude. Chloe is very patient and helpful with the kids. Matthew and Bryant are great lifeguards and help keep the kids having fun. We have come here many years, and will continue even after our grandkids are grown
This was are first time here. We enjoyed it. The kids had lots of fun, an loved the activities!!! I thank we will be back soon!!!
Awesome place to go! Family oriented with lots of activities. Very clean, golf cart rental recommend. Sanitized chairs and pool area for covid. Will go back!
Our friends retired, sold their home, and moved their 5th wheel here planning on staying for the rest of their time. They have lived there 2 years now. Suddenly they received notice on 11/10/2020 that they, and all the other full timers would have to leave the park by the 15th of December. The park is planning on renovating the area they are in, and will no longer be allowing full timers.
Just an relaxing place to get away and enjoy the out doors of nature. They have a lot of amenities to keep entertained.
Thai place is SO much fun. We only got a day pass to go swim and play on the slides, but it was WAY worth it. Definitely want to go coming out there soon.
Our kids loved every second of our trip and cried because they didnt want to go home. We had a small issue and the staff went above and beyond to take care of things!
My family and I visited this park a couple weeks ago. It was a slow weekend so we pretty much had the park all to ourself. It gave us a good opportunity to allow the kids to venture and run free. For me and the wife, we were very pleased that even though it was slow the staff was very gracious. The manager was even willing to work the front desk while his associate did arts and crafts with my kids. We didnt take advantage of this opportunity, but to me, that says a lot when a park that is catered to families, big groups, etc....., is will to take time out for one family. Most places would simply say, Unfortunately, we are not doing any scheduled events as this is not our busy season or something of that sort. Well, not here, we felt right at home and were treated very well. We are looking forward to visiting during the spring and summer season when there are more people and things to do, but for now, this is just what the family needed. Great job Jellystone at Whispering Pines!!!! Keep doing what youre doing.
Great camping trip. Plenty of things to do. Very family friendly!
This was our second family vacation to Whispering Pines Jellystone Park in Tyler, TX in 2 years, because we love it & the people here! Among many activities that can fill every day of the week with fun, our favorite is the Pickleball Courts. But besides all the optional entertainment, excitement, beauty, tranquility, & fun to be had, I gotta say that we remember this place so much for the great people that not only vacation here, but that work here as well. They are always ready to smile & help with good old fashioned neighborly Texas charm, manners, & hospitality. Especially Kate & Dan, thank you guys for making our stay special (& finding & mailing back my charging cable that I left behind). HUGE THANKS for that! And the hard working cleaning ladies, they should be recognized too! I’m gonna give you a hard time again though ... heeheehee ... ya’ll need to finish the last 9 holes of your awesome putt-putt course, and bring WiFi throughout the entire park. Other than that, we will be back again, and again. Love you guys!
Great place for kids, with lots of activities and plenty to keep them occupied. Lots of trees, with a great State Park kind of feel, rather an RV Park feel. Nice pool and small water park area, with a small adults only pool. The outdoor movie area is fun, but youll probably want to bring your own chairs. They have wooden benches. They have firewood onsite that you can purchase, and lots of normal supplies in the store. If youre staying further away from the main area, Id recommend renting the golf cart. A little expensive, but my son loved it, and much better than walking back and forth. We got a back in site, that was very spacious. Covered picnic table with great night lighting, a grill, and a nice little campfire ring. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the other campers were all very friendly. The area near the office/pool has WiFi, but the areas further away had very bad cell signal fyi (I was on Verizon). Im a single dad who took my 7yr old son, and we had a blast. --Amended ... Just took our second trip there, and it was also great. I forgot to mention the bounce pad, whats my son loved. Mini golf, laser tag, basketball, tennis, and saying the Pledge of Allegiance with Yogi in the mornings.
So much for my children to do. People were so nice & helpful.
The park is ok for short term. But the people that run it only care about money. Don’t let the smile on their face kid you.The lady that runs it walks the park every day. I have seen her make people pay extra for just putting up a canopy to keep bugs off the food area. She has no grace. As you can see sites flood in the rain. The pace gets over packed with people on the weekends. And there is nothing for teenagers. One of our kids was 16 and hated it. She was not allow d in the adult pool (even if there was no one else there but us) and the kids pool was to young for her. Also Running an authorized background checks on weekenders especially on weekends that their full. Then asking them to leave based on an untrue rule violation and keeping their money. Just be careful if you go.
It was a very nice experience but needs better cell service
Excelente had a great time w/Grandkids.
This place is wonderful for kids and grown-ups too!
We took our church small group. What a wonderful crew that runs the park ! They are all so customer service oriented. If you have children this is a Hidden GM in East Texas. There are scheduled events all day long and they will even send you text messages to keep you abreast of all the activities so you don’t forget to go sign up for them!
No parking at any of the activities without a golf cart and not enough golf carts available.
We just got back from a weekend at JP at Whispering Pines, 5 stars!!! From the friendly and helpful staff, to the clean cabins and tons of activities that are offered, my kids and I had a blast. The staff were extremely patient and friendly with the kids (my kids are 9 and 10, but there were tons of younger and older kids there). On Saturday, they offered a day full of activities, starting with magic pumpkin patch, tie dye, ceramics painting, face painting, trunk or treat, laser tag, and the hunted maze/forest. The activities were well planned and executed! You can tell the staff that work there carry themselves with a sense of pride and went above and beyond to serve their guests. We cant wait to go back!
So clean and wonderful staff!
Lots of fun we love it here!!!
Had a great experience. This was our second trip out there and this was better than the first. The rv sites are spaced out further than other Jellystone parks we have been to and this one feels a lot more like actual camping since the sites are all nestled in the trees. They also had some great discounts for teachers and veterans which we took advantage of. We spend every Thanksgiving camping and this year we tried it here. We were not disappointed. They even had a big potluck and provided the meats. Staff was great! We will be back
The facilities are pretty nice compared to most other campgrounds. The have several 24 hour bathrooms with showers. The staff was reasonably friendly and helpful. We had a miscommunication about having tents on the sites and while we did still have to rent some sites we were not expecting to, they worked with us on the pricing to help make up for the issue. Most of the camp sites are not exactly woodsy while they do have some that are surrounded by trees and have a more out in the woods feel. There are lots of things for kids to do including a large inflated bounce house like bubble for that they can go nuts on as well as courts to play basketball, pickle ball (sort of like tennis), sand volleyball and even laser tag (although we didnt try the laser tag). The kids were disappointed that Yogi and Boo-Boo were hibernating and didnt make an appearance during the weekend. All in all a good place to camp if you are looking to get away and keep the kids occupied. If you are looking for a true out doors, back woods camping experience, this is not the place for you.
Great place to camp. Clean and maintained very well. Each campsite has a fire pit and a covered slab with a pic I table and electricity. The pool and splash pad with slides is awesome. They have a variety of other things to do also during your stay. I highly recommend this park if you have kids it is awesome.
The best place to camp with the kids!!!
We have been traveling for over 2 years now for work, and this was hands down our favorite place we visited! We still talk about it... our first place with our RV. The layout is so neat. Lots to do and explore. Everyone was so respectful and friendly. We stayed for a month and they have a separate area for weekenders vs. monthly which was really nice. Many of the monthly spots even have a type of fence so you kind of have a private yard. Very comfortable and excellent time for families. We loved the big yellow blob and the putt putt and taking pictures with Yogi! Thanks for a wonderful visit and we hope to return someday :)
Absolutely AMAZING!! If I could give 10 stars I would. This was our first time and we had 4 of our grands ages 4-12, there was activities for all of them. Activities kept them busy allll day and they were wore out from all rhe fun!!. None of us wanted to leave!! Staff went over and beyond to be helpful and curtious.. Def recommend it to anyone with children.
Excellent service. Super nice people. Nice spots, heavily wooded which we love. Clean bathrooms. We really loved our stay.
This is a fantastic park for adults and children of all ages. There are so many activities you will never get bored. There are new golf carts that can be rented to get you very quickly where you want to be for the next event. Hay rides, swimming, putt putt, laser tag, pottery making and so much more....
FABULOUS !! This is the first year we have had the opportunity to have our Family Reunion at Jellystone Park at Whispering Pines in Tyler. Our stay was amazing. We had 55 people in attendance over the weekend and 55 happy happy campers. The kids had so much fun with all of the activities that were offered, we didnt ever see them in the meeting room except when it was time to eat. They were either fishing, swimming, putt putt golfing or bouncing on the huge air pad. The adults that were not watching the kiddos, were relaxing either by the pool or in the meeting room that was where we held our dinner. It was quiet, cool and overall enjoyable. Weve been having this reunion for about 50 years, and we are so satisfied with the accommodations and activities that we have already booked our 2017 Reunion. The staff is amazing, friendly and so helpful. They were readily available to help with whatever our needs were as well as to answer any questions we had, this being our first trip. Overall rating - FABULOUS
Even through the rain we had a great time. The staff is super friendly and always helpful. It rained of and on on our weekend trip but in between the rain thget has plenty to do for fun. The laser tag was really cool. I would definitely recommend this place and plan took cone back.
Great place to visit. They have cabins for camping and it is all based on Yogi Bear theme. It has two salt water swimming pools for the family to enjoy. Fishing pond to catch a few. It has free wifi and basketball court. I would highly recommend stopping buy and checking it out. Call and make sure there are cabins available.
Park has greatly improved its amenities and had added new cabins since our last stay. Lots of childrens activities available but most are for an additional charge. We stayed in a new efficiency cabin which was sufficient for our 2 night stay and included almost everything we needed, exception being shampoo. Our family has held reunions at this location for over 20yrs and our only disappointment this time was that they capped our group at 110. Our family has traveled from all over the country to meet here and this is the first time theyve ever limited the number of day passes we can receive. We were only given this new information at check-in so it came as a surprise.
Great family resort. Its like summer camp with crafts, swimming, fishing, hiking, bike riding and now a new Kids Zone with splash pad and water slides! Safe family friendly fun. Cabins, RV and tent camping available. I cant say enough good things. Day passes are also available. Check out their website for activity schedules for the summer and other holidays throughout the year. We love Jellystone Park at Whispering Pines!
Its winter and theres very little to do here in winter yet they still charge full price. And make us leave at 11 am in the morning. $90 for 2 nights. No hiking. And the hot tub can only be used in summer. They offer no winter amenities at this park. Its a really nice park in the summer. They need to lower their rates in winter and change their check out time. There are no beds to be changed, or rooms to be cleaned, no clean up in an RV site. No reason for me and my whole family to have to leave the park that early. There was hardly anyone here. Ridiculous.
Everything is great....my only suggestion would be that they offer laser tag at multiple times and we wish it had a larger pool. Our family had a great time. Very family friendly.
Called to book there economy size cabin. Fyi keep in mind all there cabins were empty! Girl asked how many people i said 2 adults 3 kids. Oh well youll have to move up to the next size cabin. Seriously its a 4 year old kid not like hes an adult. This place is over priced on everything. Nothing going on in winter time. They have certain activities for kids but overpriced. Be better if they had activities going all day. These people are just money hungry. Plus they wanna charge for everything. We use to go here quit a bit. We will be sticking with state parks.
Lots to do but 15 bucks to get in for a visit to someone staying there seems steep. Not today but two years we had a family reunion here. A/C didnt work. No discounts, no well help you out some next year if you come back. Theyre full today so guess their doing ok.
Took the granddaughter last summer for a few days. Had never been to a Jellystone Park. We loved it. And the granddaughter loved it as well! She participated in the crafts, brought her bike to ride around, watched the evening movies and had an overall great time! Had a nice cabin within walking distance of the pool. We rented a golf cart to get around. We will definitely be back and are anxious to try some of the other parks.
Looking for a family run, well established, super fun yet relaxing place for your family? Whispering Pines Jellystone Park is your place. We go every year and have never been disappointed. Cabins are clean and in great condition, activities are numerous and grounds are very well kept. Hands on owners always making sure all are having a great time.
We love this place so much! We havent been able to stay this last year but planning on coming this summer. They have so much stuff to do. My sister and I took our children on a weekend getaway. We stayed in one of the cabins, so nice! We cant wait to come back.
Really enjoyed myself
1st camping trip as a family and it was great. We had a tent site with water and electricity hook-ups. Activities suited kids of all ages, amenities were clean and accessible. Made for a great Fathers Day Weekend! We will be coming back!
This is our favorite Jellystone to date. They opened the new splash pad over Memorial Day and the kids loved it! The staff is really great, and Mr Giggles ( their name for my son) loves their activities.
I cant wait to come back. So much to do for the kids. Absolutely loved it
Very nice place to camp. The only issue I have is the $25.00 for every car over 2 plus the $5 per head. That is REALLY HIGH and Ive checked with other parks and they do not do this. Do not understand this.
Very nice place for us to have our family reunion. It is gated so we felt our kiddos were safe to ride their bikes and participate in the events there. We loved it. Cant wait to revisit!
This is one of our favorite Jellystone Parks. The owners have done a terrific job of upgrading the Park. This campground is always clean and they have tons of activities for the kids. There are lots of trees and the premium sites are outstanding. We also rent cabins each year for an annual bday party and they are really nice and also very clean. Love it!!
We spent 5 days at the park during spring break and had a wonderful time. They have installed so many new amenities and premiere sites with covered picnic tables and more spacious RV sites. The sports courts and mini golf have all been redone and the staff are very friendly and offer lots of activities for the kids.
Check out time is too early. The have designed it so you cannot do water activities your final day. Shame on you Jellystone.
Its a beautiful campground with lots of stuff for kids to do. They keep everything really clean, especially the bathroom/ shower facility. Everyone we encountered was really friendly!
Had a great time. Loft cabin was really nice, but Loft is dangerous for young children. Needs higher railing and railing around steps.
We had a wonderful time and will do it again very soon. This was the best kid friendly lace we have been to.
Recommend this to anyone, even those who dont have kids. The best place for a staycation
A lot of fun, but ridiculously priced. $10.00 for a cheeseburger and an additional $4.00 gets you fries and a drink. The pools are approximately 3 foot deep, and only one of them allows children. The adult pool is 4 inches deeper than the family pool, and there are no mixed drinks either. Dont bring intertubes, floating toys, or diving sticks, it is pointless as staff will ask you to remove them as there is not enough room to play. The slides are great. The other problem: Pools open at 11am, and close at 8pm. The slides open at 11am, but close at 6pm. They have activities for kids, but get ready to spend extra for them. The basketball court is great, if its not full by the time you get there as its the only thing for teens to do besides the pool. Save your money folks and find something better. 2 stars cause the people were friendly, and the pool is good for 2-3 year old children that cannot swim. No cable, satellite, and the cabins are a bit cramped, although they are clean. Wed have been better off in our camper or tent. My first review under 3 stars guys, it is pretty, but not worth the penny.
It was fun. I think it would be good for kids and friends. I loved it.
Jellystone Park at Whispering Pines delivers over and beyond what it advertises. Our Grandkids love it and we use it as a family retreat. In between those visits my Husband and I spend as much time as possible enjoying the tall pines, lake, activities and general DREAM Get Away! We would give it SIX stars.
The park is really nice. We stayed in the cabins near the pond. It was pretty new. We enjoyed the games and equipment they had available. Unfortunately there were no activities or character outings due to not being in season. It would be nice of they atleast would bring out the characters. Other than that it a nice facility still being improved.
It has wonderful family accommodations. Walking path, adult swimming pool, separate kids pool, multiple cabins for rent, golf cart to drive to see everything..
We love it here. Everytime we come we love it.
My family and I have spent several weekends and holidays at the WP Jellystone Park. I felt they provided a great experience for the price. We have also stayed at the Burleson, TX Jellystone Park. The Jellystone franchise maintains a consistent theme with minor differences from park to park. My family loves to go there and the kids are already asking me when were going back.
Great facilities, Friendly Staff. Lived here for a month between house sale/purchase. Have returned just for fun. They have done a lot to improve facilities. Weekends can be pretty busy, but still fun.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff! clean bathrooms and upgraded cabins! awesome family vacation spot
I go here every year for reunion. So much fun! Theyve really revamped the place!! Its very nice. They still need to fix hot tub though. 4 years it hasnt worked right!!
This place in the beautiful East Texas Piney Woods is a wonderful destination for families and groups; a perfect resort for kids. The people who run the place are delightful, the amenities meet the expectations youll find their excellent website.I stayed in one of their very nice cabins and have only two complaints, which can range from insignificant to major depending on what you want from an RV/Cabin resort:1. The Wifi is weak to nonexistent.2. TV access is limited to three or four local channels, no cable or satellite. Plus, the flat screen TV in my full size cabin was laughably small by KOA standards. If you dont care at all about electronic connections by all means, book this place. Youll be very happy here. But if you want or need WiFi and TV, Im afraid youll be very disappointed. Its a big, beautiful resort. Not inexpensive for your stay and clearly a big overhead operation for the owners. Why they dont invest in modern electronic luxuries is beyond me.
We just got back from our second visit from Jellystone at Whispering Pines. This is such a great place to take the family for a vacation or quick getaway. The park includes a swimming pool, fire pits for every cabin, a playground for kids, jumping pillow, pond for fishing, and lots of other activities. There are even outdoor movies during the week which is one of our favorites.Every staff member that we have encountered has been very pleasant and welcoming - doing their best to ensure that we have an enjoyable time. The park is clean, well maintained, and very secure. I cant say enough about the great folks that work here - they are very accommodating and kind!
Fantastic place to get away at. Activities for the kids and great ambiance.
Kyle and the staff are great. The park is warm and inviting. The kids love the play area and activities. Repeat customers for 3yrs now
Nice place. Very clean and kept up. Pretty pricey for a camper site plus most of the activities are extra.
We have been several times and have had a great time each time. The staff is wonderful. The cabins have always been very clean. The kids were kept entertain the entire visit.
There are activities for the whole family! There are a couple of great horseshoe pits, a shuffleboard court, washer game and cornhole A couple of years ago they put in a great mini-golf course, sand volleyball was added, then they got pickle ball !!! Last year they added a splash pad and already this year the bounce pad was upgraded, enlarged, and enhanced! I hear there are a few other things coming soon. There is a catch and release lake, some trails to hike, and a maze! With the exception of the water activities, all of the activities are available every day. Add the staff guided adventures, hay ride, tie dye, ceramic painting, gem mining, laser tag, the Flag ceremony every morning and family campfire in the evening then the nightly movie and you have plenty to keep you busy! I’m sure I missed a bunch of the great stuff there but this is off the top of my head.
This place was great even though the weather decided not to cooperate at all. While they have activities you have to pay for they have plenty to do for free such as: Basketball, pickel ball, volleyball, horse shoes, washers, corn hole, shuffleboard, pillow jump, an outdoor theater, and a playground! They also have a family pool, adult pool, and a small kids water area but it was closed for the season. They also had a free hay ride that took us to the haunted woods. There was also a trunk or treat with costume contest where they had drinks, popcorn, and cotton candy for guests! They had some activities you had to pay for such as mini golf, which is $5/ball for unlimited play and you get to keep the ball, ceramics painting, tie-dye, magic pumpkin patch, laser tag (you had to purchase tokens but it was cancelled for us due to weather.)Pros: nice sized playground, plenty of free stuff to do, well maintained sites, park staff was friendly, the free activities were well maintained, they had grounds keepers to keep the pine needles off of stuff, Yogi Bear made three different appearances even with the weather being so horrible, its gated and youre given a special key for the gate, when I took my son through the haunted forest maze a worker scared him pretty good and took of his mask quickly to show my son it wasnt real (he was very nice)Cons: we couldnt get our camper level front to back because we were down hill and couldnt lift the tongue anymore (not a huge issue but we got a better idea of which sites to shoot for for next time), some of the folks in the golf carts werent going the posted speed limit and zooming around the already small roads, some of the pay to do activities were a little pricey, the playground has some spots where the nails need to be hammered down for safety reasonsObservations: the playground has great potential for additional play things (i.e steering wheel, telescopes, etc) theres a gas station not too far away, its a little pricey but you get what you pay for, lots of friendly families, lots of friendly extended stay guests also, you have to wear a bracelet even though youve paid for the night haha you would figure the people only there for the day passes would have to wear bracelets instead, theres WiFi but its not strong at all so dont even botherWe are definitely interested in coming back to this park in the future!
Definitely one of the more enjoyable RV camping experiences Ive had. We took our annual boys trip here, and the kids loved it! It was really easy to keep them occupied with activities.
Had a great time. Took youth kids from our church. They loved it. Will definitely go back.
If you have little children, and that is all, it is a very nice place, but expensive. We stayed for a few days and had a nice time. There are lots of things to do for young children, but any child over the age of 10 will become very bored very quickly, as well as adults not attached to a little one. We stayed in cabins, which cost a lot but all the activities and anything extra was very expensive (not for me because my kids were too old to participate) but I know it would be hard to say no to a little kid who wants to eat a s’more with Smokey. It was a safe place to visit though and I never had to worry about my kids. I would suggest visiting if you live in the area, have only young kids, and have a ton of cash to throw away.
Amazing place! So much to do and the new splash pad/mini waterpark is totally awesome!!!
Really great place to see was on vacation and enjoyed my experience at the park
It was great while it lasted. Sadly sprained my ankle, but its fine now! Loft is great and cozy, fireplace looks awesome, everything is awesome. (Pun intended)
We had a really good time at this park. Lots of activities and things to do. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negative comment i have and may be because we had never needed to rent a golf cart until this trip. Cabin check in is 3 and check out is 11. The golf cart rental should be for those hours but were not. You rent at 3 pm and turn it back in at 6pm or pay for another day.Other than that we had a good time.
We have spent Spring Break here for the past 3 years. The kids love it and there are several activities to choose from. Great family time.
Great place for families! Had a great time and planning more trips here
Long weekend stay with daughter & grand kids. Daughter rented a cabin and we put our RV in a Premium site. Directions to park were excellent, check-in was timely and everyone was very courteous. We have been RVers for 30+ years and are on RV #7 so this wasnt our first rodeo. Facilities were excellent & well maintained. We stayed in a 35ft travel trailer and had no problems getting into the site on the first try. Kids had grand time and we felt good about the gated park and security. We will definitely consider making another trip.
