Excellent plays and presentations given by performers that give their all to entertain the community. We enjoy every performance and look forward to the next one as soon as we leave the current one. Theater is clean and every seat is a good one

I purchased 4 tickets for Crowns (front row seats) on Friday -February 23, 2019. One ticket was from my sister who is physically disabled, visually impaired and mentally challenged. She ambulates slowly due to multiple debilitating diseases, yet, even in excruciating pain my sister is still determined to walk as long as she is able to and refuses a wheelchair. Besides no one offered her one or offered to assist me with her. A Ticket to Crowns was my birthday gift to my disabled sister. Upon arrival, one hour and thirty minutes before the curtains were raised, I had to park far away with my disabled sister because the handicap parks were all taken. That did not stop us. We walked down to the front row of the theater at 7:00 when the doors were open. The Moderator introduced the play and Act I was the BOMB!! At the conclusion of ACT I, the lights came on... No one gave any instructions about how long intermission would last. We were only instructed to visit the concession stand. My sister had to use the rest room. We walked all the way to the restroom and the restroom lines were all the way down the hall back out to the front. We waited our turn and when we returned, the moderator rudely told me I will let you all back in but you got to sit in the back row. I told him my sister can not see well, but he insisted and forced us to sit in the back row. My sister could not see ACT II and I was furious. The moderator never apologized nor offered us an explanation as to why we were forced to sit in the back row when we paid for front row seating so my sister could see the play. We would have walked down the sides of the building and not down the center aisles to avoid distracting others. Needless to say, my birthday gift to my sister was ruined!!!WOW, what a way to treat the disabled and handicapped.

I saw Ragtime tonight. The entire cast is amazing--especially the actors who play Coalhouse and Sarah--and the themes are so timely and so relevant to the concerns of our time. (Sad to say, a story based on 1910, written in 1975 is so incredibly relevant to our times.) It portrays the struggles of immigrants, the plight of the working poor, and anti-black violence. Too, it shows well-meaning white people who dont quite do enough but who grow in awareness and become more committed to act. It also shows the dream of America that we all want to achieve and to share. It is beautiful, heart-breaking, and inspiring. Theres so much to think about in this play, and the production is incredibly professional, from the simple but ingenious set and props to the beautiful costumes and outstanding orchestra. I cannot recommend it enough. I happened to buy tickets simply because I thought it would be nice to see a play while passing through Tuscaloosa on our way home from vacation. I feel blessed to have seen it. I hope it inspires us all to do all we can to help one another and to make America a place where everyone can ride on the wheels of a dream.

This is probably the best kept secret in Tuscaloosa. They put on world class shows are very low prices. Honestly, I dont know how they do such high quality shows in a small town for such a low price. Please go and see for yourself. You will NOT be disappointed.

Loved the play, Grease. Other than bathroom problems it was great!

Review №14

Grease was awesome! No weaknesses-- every cast member was great*. Lyrics for vocals from more minor cast members were sonetimes hard to parse (high qualify cordless mics are expensice!) but that was partly due to where our seats were. Lots of energy, lots of fun!* Especially Frenchy. Ok, my niece played her, so I might be a weeeee bit biased.
