I do like the seclusion you can achieve at Mohawk. They have picnic areas as well as a disc golf course and a few annex areas along the back road of the park. Its a nice place to walk your dogs or have a picnic/ party. However, the area is in the low lands and has a pretty wide creek running through it. This isnt really a problem until it rains, but then most of the disc golf course and picnic areas are completely flooded.
Its so nice to know you always have a place to go to in this chaotic world right now and feel safe. I was a little sad to see so much litter. So if you go to have a picnic or grill with the family. Please remember to clean up your mess.
Beautiful trails and sights. It was nice to get out and walk the trails for a couple hours. See some wildlife and a few geocache locations if you like to explore and discover things.
So the Zoo was a really good experience!! There are paw prints on the ground for social distancing when there are lines, and the people do a good job of social distancing even without the paw prints. The food was good. I have a burger and fries, and it was a good burger and fries. They dont have Coca Cola there, so that was a downfall because I that is my favorite soda. Most of the animals werent out, but there were geese everywhere. The carousel wasnt open. The train was open, and went all around the park. There is plexiglass between the carts on the train for social distancing. I think that this is good for a good range of people, we had 11 and still had tons of fun. We also went to the gift shop and got some stuff, there stuff is really cool, just a little pricey. None of the play areas are open, so the kids cant play on the playgrounds. Masks are not required. Overall it was a good trip, and I will definitely be coming back!
This is an absolute jewel-box! There are a few good hikes- some fairly easy, others involve some bolder-scrambling. Really beautiful hiking!
Ive been coming to this park for 40+ years. The escape from the city...the nature....I love this park.
Always such fun! The animals were so active today!
Played disc golf at mohawk Park in the evening. Good course but I felt like I had to keep looking over my shoulder to make sure my car was safe. Two times now I have noticed suspicious looking cars driving slowly past my car multiple times and even parking right next to me until they see me. I would like to see a security guard or police patrol in the evening.
I visited the Tulsa Zoo which is part of Mohawk Park. I was not feeling well, and my boss told me to go home, but I thought if I got some exercise I would feel much better. Now I am more tired from all of the walking. It was actually really nice weather today while being outside.
Water Park here is super awesome! Cute animal statues that are part of the water sprayers (like 2 are for cute pics imo!) and the toys plus a rock wall is right next to the water toys! Its great and theres nice shade areas for us parents to hang out, and for the kids when they need a cool off period lol 10/10 recommend and hope to go again!
Peaceful place in nature with tons of birds and deer as well as fish and turtles in the reservoir. The trails are easy to identify and very secluded. It does get muddy and wet after rain though, some trails become impassable but they do a good job of keeping the trails clear. There are bald eagles flying around as well as osprey during certain times of the year. Recommend this place to enjoy nature and get away from traffic and noise. Keep it clean Tulsa, pick up after yourself.
Truly a treasure to Tulsa and Oklahoma as a whole. Visit if you havent theres plenty to see and many trails to walk.
Its aight nice walks when you used to be able to
Disc Golf courses were in perfect condition for the Oklahoma Open tournament
Tulsa Zoo is one of the most fabulous places to take the kids. Love the Zoo
Lil man had a meet! Fun times! Nice location!
Nice place to take the kids to run and play fish or just get out the house
A large Place easy to get lost in. However very beautiful
Love ️ the zoo and mohawk park. Great time for everybody
Beautiful park, with a beautiful zoo inside of it. Theyre were plenty of places for families to enjoy a day together, and why not stop at the zoo while you are out there?
I love this park. Lot of great memories and many more to make here.
It was wonderfully and so great to get out a see out doors
All of a sudden they now have all this funding for security guards to enforce any and every rule they can think of now. Been going here for a year and a half, never saw one. Now they are everywhere. Just dont go!
Went to Hallozooween and had a great time. Zoo workers did a great job of sanitizing and keeping everyone spaced out.
Great place for hiking and a trip to the zoo all in one.
Zoo was nice but hallowzooeen was alot smaller and kind of lame
Great park! Covid is messing everything up. Please dont judge the park right now. They havent been mowing and cleaning it because of Covid.
I loved the fact that it wasnt crowded at all
Very nice clean park.
You can tell this used to be a really cool place. But due to the city neglecting this gem its gone downhill. The cities to busy putting sh-- downtown where theres NO PARKING!
Do much to do, its huge, you could go spend the whole day there. Splash pad, playground, walking trails, multiple covered picnic areas, and frisbee golf. Nature center, etc.
I grew up by the Ive always had fun there a wonderful place to bring the family and relax. And they have an amazing zoo filled with all kinds of animals. A huge thank you to the Mohawk Park & zoo!!!!!!
Beatiful. Lots of rocks to climb, nice trails, and a pond.
Great public golf course. Consider it my home course. I play there a LOT. Great value for the price.
Mohawk Park has several positives and negatives.Starting with positives, it has a huge open area park with a nature center for hiking and learning about Oklahoma wildlife. There are miles of hiking trails, official and unofficial. If you like foraging, then there are many wild plants around the area. The Tulsa Zoo is located within the park and is a great way to spend an afternoon with the family. Lake Yahola is a nice place to fish as well as the lake in the center of the park. The biggest negative is just that people are messy and sometimes don’t clean up after themselves. If you want to spend some time with the family, you sometimes have to pick up around your site. It has gotten better over the years.Bring a couple bucks because randomly there is someone at the gate taking money. They are usually there when you would expect more people at the park. Bring yourself a trash bag and blankets. And for goodness sake, pick up after yourselves.
The animals were playful. Dippin Dots were wonderful. No batteries at the gift shop to go with the electric fan they sell.
Peaceful and lots of shade, great for get togethers
We love coming here. We typically go to the zoo part first and then hit the playground after. The kids love the rock wall and I cant wait until the splash pad opens for the summer
Beautiful day for the Zoo! Not crowded.... animals out & about.... cool temps......1/2 price! Cant wait to see the new playground completed. Thanks Tulsa!
Jogging and workoutNice clean
The Tulsa Zoo is located in this large gorgeous park and between 8-5 its open to the public! Enjoy!
Great park for some good family and friends time to play, walk, fish and relax.Beautiful and an amazing zoo next to eat
Great park for kid adults and entertainment
Beautiful park, very nice people who work there.
Oklahoma City zoo is far better.
Its a great park lots of stuff to do you have the Tulsa Zoo and 2 public golf courses
Nice place to walk along the river
A lot of trash and debris laying everywhere. No one cleans up their messes it seems to be a lot of unruly behavior and no one does anything its sad that our Park has gone to this
Zoo left a lot to be desired . No signs or directions
R&R, cookout, leisure day of play .Fun in the sun .Hot, splash park .Yay.
We love the zoo. Social distancing was in use and ever employee wearing a mask. I felt save.
Good open space on a cool day for a picnic or walk...or bike ride
Beautiful Park! Had to pay $2 admission to enter which is the reason for the four stars. The grounds need mowed.
I love taking my kids here. Ive brought all my 4 kids over a 20 year span. Its great to see the zoo expanding and seeing new attractions. My family and I have wonderful memories.
Love the park and zoo! Its a great place to take your family!
Very clean, beautiful park.
Had fun at Hallowzooeen.....
Its nice, but it is a city park with the zoo as a part of it.
This is a beautiful zoo. The new addition really makes this zoo so much more exciting.
I Love taking my kids there to play in the splash pad..
We like to take the kids down to go to the nature center. And there are lots of trails to walk on
Always a great time.
Loved the space fresh air so big and beautiful
Great park overall, has gazebos for special occasions, a disc golf course which is a good trail to walk regardless if you play disc golf or not, and good spots to have a picnic.
Really good xc course
A very beautiful scenic park with lots of open spaces and picnic areas.
Beautiful and its keep clean
Mohawk is a beautiful park! My family and I love it!
Fam memories and great place for the kids to run and play.
It is a great place for kids. I liked the organization of the Zoo which is divided into different habitats
Many activities for your children. The membership is worth every penny. You can spend hours here.
Fun park with lots of space to do about anything. We often take advantage of the grilling areas ax well as the water park. Plenty of good fishing creeks and ponds. Also where the Tulsa Zoo is located.
Went there to walk my dog on a Sunday about 6:00. And drove toward the Polo grounds. There were so many cars and trucks people drinking beer peeling out on the streets. Something needs to be done about that could be a little dangerous.
Golf course was in good condition, greens fast.
Amazing place so beautiful
I grew up going to Mohawk park and the zoo. It looks better now than it did back then. Lots for the kiddos to do. It was a really great place to spend the day
They did a really good job washing my truck and washing my trailer out
Excellent park.
Absolutely the perfect place to share with my friend and my grandkids.
Beautiful and peaceful city park spread out surrounding the Tulsa Zoo. Nice childrens playground, protected and open air picnic facilities, hiking trails (flat, but undeveloped and not recommended for those with mobility challenges), and horse trails. Plenty of open space, and yet wooded areas provide reasonable privacy for a municipal park.
Loved the zoo! Great exhibits I have not seen elsewhere! Snow Leapords and Bald Eagles! Kids loved it!
Fun place to visit with kids. The Zoo is right there but Mohawk Park is fun too. Theres a splash pad, picnic areas, and hiking trails.
Drove past, everything looked in great shape and clean.
Claremore High School had their prom here last night! You guys rock! The kids had so much fun! What a great event center! What a wonderful staff! Thank you!
We had a ton of fun! Easy to get through
The park should be maintained since it is advertised as a must visit for anyone coming to tulsa because of the zoo.
I love the nature center, the zoo and the splash pad. Mohawk Park is a great place for a hike, picnic, family reunion or just a nice scenic view. The fishing used to be plentiful, too until the streams and ponds became overran with Gar and snakehead.
Arrived thanks to “hiking trails near me” but found disc golf and equine trails and a polo field. Also a pig in the forest adjacent to the polo fields. I didn’t get a picture. I’ll try again later. It was a lot of grassy areas with picnic tables. Managed to walked about 2 miles just wandering.
