Small with like 5 windows of exhibits. The gift shop is across the street, and closed almost an hour early today. The guard didnt even know where it was and chatted the entire time to his friend. The building itself is pretty but thats mostly it. Oh yes, and its free! But 2 stars off for closing early and the lack of even knowing where the gift shop was by the employee.
The building alone is a spectacular representation of the Art Deco era, as you walk through these entry ways and hallways you are treated to treasures of the time period. There is also a cute gift shop with a friendly and knowledgeable shop keeper. I don’t know if I’d make a special trip to this location, but if you are in the area, it is a must see!
I love this place.I had an amazing time here doing a scanveger.A fantastic placr to bring your kids.
This was nice to look at architecture and exhibits). I wish it was larger and an actual museum. It would be terrific, and I think it would generate a lot of tourist/tourism to Tulsa. I was raised in Tulsa and think that theres so much that Tulsa can offer, this being one of them. The small exhibits they had were spectacular though! I hope that it becomes something grand and large in the future.
Neat place. Kinda small, but a nice piece of Tulsa history. Its easy to forget that Tulsa was a booming metropolis during the oil boom.
Books, art, local items and novelty. The store hosts a treasure hunt. A cool place to visit while downtown, truly unique. Kid section has many vintage toys. Ice cream sandwiches. Very entertaining shop!
Me and the wife and 4 kids visited here for the first time recently. We have always lived in Tulsa but never came here yet mostly because we dont go to downtown much. Very glad we stopped in and took a look. Lots of general collectible items and tourist type merchandise, but also tons of other stuff, including Tulsa memorabilia. This is a must stop for any Tulsan or visitor, so, basically go check this place out if youre breathing and shop local.
Decopolis is such charming place. They have so many interesting and unique gifts that make it one of my favorite places in tulsa. They have so many unique gifts from classic to modern, for the young and the old. It stands as one of my favorite places to get gifts for my kids.
Unique book and gift store. Take time to do the puzzle scavenger hunt.. its lots of fun
Beautiful...a must see for anyone with an interest in Art Deco architecture. Also, go in the Bank of Oklahoma and the Marriott. You can go in just about any of the old buildings and be amazed!
I adore this store with all my heart. I got my purse here and Im in love. Im going to be coming back for more, and for some childrens books from the second level!
This was one of my favorite places in Tulsa. It was a little hard to find the museum at first because it is actually window displays in the lobby of a building downtown, but it was so much fun to explore the area. If youre here, I highly encourage you to stop at the coffee shop in the lobby for a drink and then pop across the street to the gift shop/bookstore for some ice cream (the mint chocolate chip was devine)!
Best of Tulsa. You can find an excellent selection of quality goods.
What a great store! We walked in on a whim. It was full of fun art, and books. Really glad we went in!
Favorite place in downtown Tulsa. Unique things! Be sure to try the ice cream! Really good!
Window displays of Tulsas amazing art deco heritage in the lobby of a contemporary hotel! Display cases are made to fit the theme. So glad they made it; a true surprise gem!
Unique yesteryear experience. Great especially should you have interest in history, architecture, origins of the oil industry in Oklahoma, etc. Quality souvenirs, art, books regarding American Indian tribes related to oil and route 66 memorabilia for collectors.
They had a lot of interesting things.
Very unique little store. Lots of Tulsa history and art deco. The place to go if your looking for a Tulsa-centric gift.
I loved it. It was really interesting and the scenery was amazing!
Great free museum about the history of art deco architecture in Tulsa. Definitely worth stopping in.
Free and the lobby of this building and others in the area were great. We ended up contacting a local tour guide for a peronal 2 hour tour of the area to include the art deco Methodist Church.
What an amazing collection of Art Deco in an incredible period building. Inside the store, find great merchandise and even some original pieces for sale! We were fortunate to have met Deco Debby whose collection makes up most of the collection on display. What an honor and pleasure. Go if you are serious about architecture and the Art Deco movement.
Prominent part of the Art deco tour of Downtown Tulsa. The ambience will take you back to the 20s and 30s.
Beautiful displays, just not enough of them! I hope they can open a full museum someday. Also, there is a gift shop, but I have yet to be in the building when its actually open, very limited hours.
Great open museum right in the hallway of a fantastic building. I wouldnt make a trip out of this. However, you are downtown, I highly suggest stopping in.
Lots of kids toys
I found it very interesting. I cant wait till they expand.
This place has a great atmosphere and very beautiful art and design from a unique and special era. Its a great place to stop if you only have a few minutes as it is not very big. They also have a shop which was simple but full of great things.
Great spot to duck into and get out of the cold. The store is great and the girl working there was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area
Pretty cool looking, old place with old elevators and exhibits in the windows.
Fun stuff to look at but not much of a museum as much as window displays
Nice. But not much to see
Tiny museum of Art Deco art and Tulsa history in an amazing setting. Good for a 10-20 minute stop.
Nice art museum and worth taking the family to on a day trip.
You’ll need more time than you think!
Very nice place
Tiny, free, and really interesting. Very nice display.
