I have lived in Tucson for a long time, so it was a very pleasant surprise to run across Funny Foot Farm. There are cheaper admission fees, but I opted for the 25 dollar exotic tour with kangaroo experience. Worth every penny. The guide we had was super knowledgeable and accommodating. Getting up close to capybaras was so super cool. There is even a small play area for the kiddos. Nice way to spend a morning!
I had a fantastic time today at the Tucson Petting Zoo and Funny Foot Farm. My boyfriend and I drove over an hour to visit for my birthday it was SO worth it. I will be back! The tour is fantastic. The people who work here are very invested in each and every animal and will be happy to tell you any info youre curious about. Every animal I was introduced to was well behaved and obviously taken care of. There was a strong bond and trust between our tour guide and those that they were responsible for. My expectations were exceeded and I highly recommend this place.
Great place to take the kiddos. Hands on. Get to feed some of the animals. Get to pet quite a few of the animals. Nice little tour and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Worth the money.
Never thought Id get the chance to pet a kangaroo or have a group of baby capybaras crawling on my lap, this was an amazing experience. The animals are all so sweet, the staff is passionate, informative, and super nice. It was an amazing, unforgettable trip. The $25 kangaroo tour will allow you to do everything there, I highly recommend it
A hidden gem in Tucson. Not in a place one would normally expect a petting zoo. My 3 yr old granddaughter had a wonderful time. She was able to interact with animals from across the globe, from chickens to kangaroos in a hands on environment and we also enjoyed a guided tour with a very knowledgeable and personable employee. She really enjoyed going into the enclosures and being able to touch and feed the various residents. I must also comment on the patience of our guide as she chased everything that could move and actively tried to engage her in the tour.
We went and my kids enjoyed themselves as they love animals. However one of the workers/owners was kinda rude to our group. The tour guide was knowledgable and made the small tour worth it. Some of the animals looked a little under the weather and the areas were full of feces. Hopefully after Covid it will be better improved once again.
Im just in town visiting but Ive visited twice so far and will try to make another trip before my departure. The staff is very nice and informative. I love the experiences with the different species and highly suggest visiting if in town. Once in a lifetime experience definitely 5 stars. Thank you guys so much for doing what you do !
Awesome place for adults and kids.Looking forward to the next time!
Such an awesome time seeing fantastic animals and getting up close petting time with them. These animals are well loved and it definitely shows, they are so friendly! Such a great experience!
Good place for family activity. Friendly staff, both animals and human. Bigger than what we expected. You will have chance to get really close to all animal (except the emu). Tour was good, we learn a lot more about those cute little guys. They provided Santa Claus photo too!!! An only one advice would be prepare some cash. They except all major credit cards, but just in case.
It was nice day so thought we’d check this place out- so glad we did! My older kids ( 9 & 11) really loved it- great for all ages! We did the $12 exotics tour and it was great. Animals were all very friendly and gentle, and the kids has plenty of time to spend with them. Animals appear very well cared for and owner and tour guide were both exceedingly friendly! The $12 tour also came with food (for the goats, chickens, and emus) and a generous amount too (enough to last awhile). Highly recommend!
Rustic petting zoo with a variety of very friendly animals. Had a great time feeding them and enjoying their antics.Wheelchair and stroller accessible. All of the animals appear happy, well cared for and interested in human interaction. I had a blast with the goats and the chickens. There are animals I had never seen before, like Capybaras, and they liked having their back-scratched. Overall a very enjoyable experience. The zoo is still a work in progress. I plan on returning in the future to see the new additions and upgrades.
Great time. The young man that was our guide was fantastic. He shared lots of cool information about the animals as a species but also the individuals at Funny Foot. He was also very friendly and helpful.
This place is in an industrial area and doesnt make a great first impression, but the staff are great and the animals seem happy and well cared for. My 4-year-old had a wonderful time with the animals, especially the goats.
What a great adventure. I love all the animals. They were so friendly some a little pushy but it was all so much fun. Make sure you pet the pigs the big black one likes to talk back to you. Adorable!
Its an industrial area, very noisy, and not a good spot for animals. Theres no parking, minus about 4 spots in the dirt. Theres only a few animals and the living conditions are suspect. We paid for the exotic tour, in which the person working there replied: its kinda come and go, here and there thing. So, basically, theres no exotic tour of the animals. For $12/person, youd think there would be more animals and more interaction. Its only $10 to go to the Tucson Zoo. The whole thing is rather depressing. Majority of places that feature farm animals dont charge that kind of money. They usually make their money off of donations and buying food for the animals. Not really sure where the money is going.
Such an amazing experience! We got to pet & feed animals we would have never been able to anywhere else. They staff was informative, generous and kind.
Great and knowledgeable people running the farm. Healthy animals, obviously well taken care of. Fun for kids and adults alike. This is definitely a go-to spot for any occasion. Immediately off the freeway and easy to get to. Made a new friend names Charlie the capybara.
This place is AMAZING!!!!! Our two children loved it. It is so hands on and gives an experience that you will never forget. Many of the animals you can only look it at the zoo, but here you get to touch and feed them! We will be regulars because of how great it is. The animals are all in GREAT health and its very clean! I recommend wearing cloesed toe shoes. Such a good time!
Awesome experience for all ages! You get to pet most of the animals, and feed all of them. They have a wide variety of animals from capybaras to mini chickens. The staff is very friendly, and make funny jokes through out the tour. Great costumer service. We will definitely be coming back!!
Great perting zoo and getting better with time. They are starting up, and therefore still a little underdeveloped. Please visit. You will enjoy it and they will grow faster. Im sure this will be changed to a 5 star soon!
If you love capybaras, come here and do the capybara lovers tour. Randy is great. Ask for the primate heavy petting tour.
A definite must-stop for animal lovers of all kinds, even though it is a bit out of the way & amenities are limited. You are greeted upon arrival by Pozole the donkey, & depending on the level of admission you choose, you can feed or interact with the goats, pigs, emus, capybaras, kangaroo, or all of the above. Especially fun & therapeutic for those of us with an affinity for pigs. We will definitely be back!
Great tour guide and you leave feeling so happy. You get to feed all the animals and go into their cages. Such a breath taking experience.
It was a great time! We were given food to feed goats, ducks, chickens and other foul- they were well trained to come up and win your love for some treats. The pigs stole my heart so much so I forgot to take their picture ( we also had food for them). Following handing out food for Love we had a break and waited for the tour that included the exotic animals. We then had a guide introduce us to crazy animals some from lands far away that I can’t pronounce. There are about 15 to 20 animals of 4 or 5 species.I get the feeling this place is only going to improve with community support, and that support is deserved.Go when it’s slow, kids are not necessary.
We love Funny Foot Farm. It may not look like much from the road or area its in but you will be amazed at how great it is. The owners are always there to greet you. They are two of the best people I have ever met. They keep the place so clean and every animal is well fed and healthy. They teach you so much about the animals and you get to interact with every animal. From the amazing cappybera to quilled porcupines. There is so much to do, see and touch within a small area. Which makes it enjoyable for both small kids and the elderly.
My family and I had a good time!
We had a wonderful visit this morning. The place was very easy to find. We did the regular admission + exotics tour for $12 per person. The animals were sweet, friendly, healthy and seemed happy and well cared for. There were shady areas for the animals to escape the sun. The people who run the place were friendly, nice and informative, it was very evident how much they loved the animals. Thanks for the experience!
What a treasure of a farm tucked in a rural nook of Tucson! My kids love this interactive experience and the variety of exotic species is an incredible learning experience.
Had a great time with our toddler feeding and petting. Got the exotic tour and saw the porcupines! Daughter enjoyed the goats the most
My daughters and I came here on Mothers Day and it was awesome! The staff is really nice and useful and all the animals are just a joy and super cute and friendly.
Took the tour and we got to feed the all the animals. Petting the porcupines was my Favorite.
Funny tour guy. Very informative. Large variety of roaming animals. Only $8 for guided hour tour. And they provide food to feed the animals.
Great place to hang out with some animals. Great prices, staff was very nice and knowledgeable about everything. Go if you can. I definitely will be back
This place is the cutest. We had so much fun and the owner is very friendly. I can’t wait to go back once the open the bunny room and they get kangaroos!
A MUST GO, made my day I want to go back 100 times and Im sure I will.
This was awesome for my 2 year old. I love we have something like this in Tucson. I will definitely be back. Its not to much for all the animals you see.
We had a great time. It is a small petting zoo more like a little farm. The goats and sheep were our favorite to feed and pet. The staff was super friendly and informative. Great place to visit with kids.
They dont tell you the Capybaras give haircuts and shred ur clothes in a single nibble.. SOO Im telling you, it took a whole chunk out of my hair, the good news is, the slobber didnt stink... son of aaaaa
At first the experience was good even though the staff werent the friendliest bunch. We seen and fed the goats, pigs, and birds my family had fun petting them after as well. But when we seen the exotic section we were sadly disappointed. The animals pens were dirty their water dishes full of feces they looked sickly, and the mara were eating the others ears. My kids were shocked as was i.
Fun petting zoo with gentle and exotic animals. They don’t serve food so I’d recommend eating before you go so that you can spend lots of time with the animals (and not worry about eating after you have touched an animal). No military discount.
This a great petting zoo. Ive always wanted to pet a kangaroo!
Lots of fun. Good tour, great interaction with the animals, and for our visit at least, a free smore!
Can’t recommend this place enough. So fun and the animals look really well looked after. Definitely tip them, too!!!
What an awesome morning! Im still kinda pumped. My one year old started out shy but completely took to it which was a great feeling. Georgie, the tour guide, was knowledgeable and you could tell the animals loved her and vice versa. She even helped us out a bit. Im a fully grown woman but I felt just as excited as the kids. Definitely worth the long drive. We will be going back for sure.
We enjoy going to see the chicks, goats, donkey, cow, emus, and pigs. But most of all the capybaras are our favorite. This place takes very good care of the animals. We want to get the year membership package. Either way its a good deal.
It looks like it would be sketchy but the animals are in great condition & appear loved. We had an excellent time there hanging out with all of them. Knowledgeable staff so ask lots of questions.
Fun and informative! Nice people that run the zoo.
Adorable little family place where all the animals are pettable. You can see the love and passion they have for their animals.
Had a super great time fun and a good learning experience yes.
I took my teenagers and a toddler THEY ALL LOVED ITSOME saw animals for the first time AMAZING EXPERIENCE to learn about the animals and interact with them
This is my Happy Place. I just love the exotic animals. And you can provide them personal attention.
I love this place. Such a unique find in Tucson. They have some really amazing animals you normally wouldn’t find and being able to interact with them up close is really cool. Like any petting zoo, it’s got animals and the smell that accompanies but I think that’s to be expected. The staff is great with kids and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.
I have lived in Tucson for a long time and wish I found out about this place sooner. But my kids get to experience it. The little red jungle squirrel/ rodent guy was pretty cool. Not too far of a walk to take my 80 yr old friend who is going to love it too I am sure. Thank you funny foot farm.
This was so much fun! The staff was super nice and very knowledgeable about all the animals. The animals were all very friendly. We got to cuddle the baby goats and pet the porcupines. The capybaras were so gentle taking the lettuce from us. I wish I could stay in the area to see the baby porcupines but I will have to settle for coming back the next time we visit.
Perfect way to spend a couple hours. Educational and hands-on with most of the residents! Kids and adults will all enjoy, but be prepared for muddy ground.
To be fair, I go here for work often, but I do not work at the petting zoo. I do know they take visitors, you can feed and pet the animals, and its family friendly. It seems to be family/friend business, which brings it down to earth for me. I love when the animals have babies. So far I have seen baby chicks, goats, sugar gliders and capybara. Note that during rainy times it can get quite muddy, just be prepared. As of this post all parking is outside the farm, which is great for families. They know traffic in minimal in the farm. Take your time and bring a camera. Its small, so you can finish enjoying in maybe and finish in 30 - 90 minutes depending.
The staff were friendly, the animals were awesome.
Great place for small children. My grandchildren are 3 and 6 and they had a lot of fun here. The employees gave a lot of fun information about the animals to the kids. They kept them interested and let them feed the animals. They told them which animals they could pet and went into each fenced area for just enough time. The price was reasonable.
This is by far my favorite place to go in Tucson. Tucked out of the way in the citys northwest corner, The City Fought Farm has one of the most intriguing assortments of animals Ive ever seen, together in one space. Not just that, but you get to touch and feed most, if not all of the animals, too! Talk about a treat! Fun for adults and kids, alike. Go to the Funny Foot Farm for an unforgettable experience, sure to provide a lifetimes worth of great stories.
The tour is absolutely worth the price of admission! The woman who gave us our tour was completely committed to the animals, and there were genuine, affectionate relationships between her and each one we saw. She told us great stories about all of the animals, including which goats were related, how a lot of the animals were born or came to live at the petting zoo, and what their silly personality quirks were. I definitely cant wait to go back - we spent a great afternoon there and look forward to meeting the kangaroos who are coming in the fall!
The website makes this place look much fancier than it is, but the staff was friendly and the kids had fun. Great for a few hours if you have something else planned in Tuscon.
Knowledge staff, fun for kids and adults...lots of unique animals to see
My child had lots of fun. The baby goats were cute and the staff was polite. It was expensive as you pay full price for any child 2 years and older, which is $8 without a tour and $12 with the tour. The tour I took did not include the donkey/mini cow pen, even though the sign says that it would be included.
Wow - Wow - Love Georgie and love the animals...they are so friendly and love to be petted...I forget their names but the black pig was just not going anywhere - he was getting a great massage around the neck and the little Mara altho scared at first loved getting its neck rubbed also. Great experience for young and the older of us as you get to feed the animals and George is a wealth of knowledge. Oh and gosh everybody has to get there - the porcupine and Georgie have such a great relationship. Going on second trip tomorrow.
Small Zoo, just getting started, but you want to go for the depth of knowledge and enthusiasm presented by the owner. She knows her stuff and cares about her Critters. Hopefully they will expand in the future to a ranch property and this will become a very interesting animal experience.
Took my daughter. We paid for the tour but she got overheated. We decided to leave. Lady was so sweet. She ran up to with passes for next time. We didn’t even ask. Animals are well cared for. The few we got close to were sweet. My daughter did get to pet their huge lizard. I can’t wait for it to cool off a little so I can take my daughter back.
Great place for a hands on experience with a full range of animals. From farm animals to South American Capybaras.
Was totally surprised to find such an original-ideaed place like this here in Tucson. A small farm/petting-zoo-like atmosphere. This is a fantastic place to bring a class or group of kids for a close encounter with an array of exotic and local animals. Also good as a date idea, family, or group of friends who love animals. The staff are super friendly and welcoming and the tours are highly educational and guides are more than happy to answer questions. I definitely plan on going back and highly recommend you check it out!
Got to fondle a few animals with some of my pals. real fun. the chickens were my favorite since theyre a lot larger than my bantams. also got to fondle many rat-like animals, i unfortunately cant remember what they were called. i will definitely be going back.
We had a fantastic time and our Toddler really enjoyed it. The staff was great at pointing out which animals were the gentlest at taking food from kids.
It was a rip off
My daughter loved it. We fed all the animals and she had a blast.
Family run petting zoo! Its very cool and stress - relief to pet animals such as capybara and pigs. Highly recommend this place for adults and kids.
My wife planned on stoping here for my son to pet the animals and we had so much fun. The staff is friendly and you could tell they love their job on how they take care of the animals. Definitely recommend for anyone.
We took the homeschool group there and got a great group rate. The staff was patient, friendly, and knowledgeable about the animals. Neat local small spot to learn stuff with the kids.
This place is truly amazing..pay the extra to feed the kangaroos you wont regret it
Great time feeding and petting the animals. Go after lunchtime during the week for a more intimate experience. 7 baby goats right now made for a really fun time!
The owner is very rude and not very social but works the front desk. He made sure to tell us we couldnt gather around his area.... Animals were cute. Some of the birds bit my toddler. Over priced for what they have but nice for the children to enjoy!
I really do enjoy going to the Funny Foot Petting Zoo! The animals are amazing and lots of fun to learn about. The men that run the petting zoo and give the tours are absolutely amazing. Theyve also done lots of upgrades just in these past 6 months
As a visitor to Tucson, our family was looking for fun and budget friendly entertainment options and Funny Foot Farms was more than we expected! The animals there are great - youll see typical petting zoo animals plus many exotics that are amazing. And the owners are friendly, knowledgeable and super accommodating. The value for what youll spend is so worth it. Id recommend this to anyone looking for something to do in Tucson - visitor or local. And heres a rumor/tip: If you slip the owner Ken $5, hell do the emu dance for your whole party!!!
Loved it fory lil gorls 1st vist to zoo but need more places to cool off
Very friendly animals and staff. So cute! And educational too!
You get to be in the same cage as the animals and pet them. Great experience. My nieces really liked feeding some of the animals.
Its a great place and my kids and nephews liked it so thumbs up
What a cool place to take kiddos or even just to go pet and feed some animals you’ve never seen before. Staff is awesome!
Very distinct place with lots to do in a small area. Family that runs it is very personable and friendly especially with the kids. Priced just right for what you get and is definitely a time to see animals that are not traditionally in the zoo.
Such a cute petting zoo and all the animals where so friendly! Great family outing and the guides jokes are so funny! We will definitely be back!
Great place to stop for a break off the road interstate!
Love this place. Its just off I-10 and has many exotic and surprisingly harmless creatures many form South America like capybaras and Patagonian maras. Yes, and sulcata tortoises. Friendly people and they keep you safely away from the porcupines.
Best petting zoo experience Ive had! This place is well worth the visit! The Owner Randy is super cool, witty, and hilarious! The animals are a great learning and fun experience, enjoy!
Funny foot farm is a wonderful place with plenty of opportunities to pet a variety of animals. The staff is wonderful and very educational. We learned a lot about the different animals. I highly recommend Funny foot farm.
We loved the petting zoo! It was small and intimate and we got to see all kinds of animals you normally wouldn’t get to interact with. The weather wasn’t in our favor, so they let us get a rain check for the following day.
It was really neat. Very relaxed atmosphere and all of the animals were pretty cool.
