If you visit early its beautiful! As you know the heat kills a park in the afternoon for lack of shade. I myself love the sun and its like the park is mine! So how can you dispute that? I know you have a certain crowd that pops in n goes, but come on what park in Tucson doesnt?

Beautifully kept park and a delight for young and old as well as the family. Even on the very hottest days of summer there is usually a nice breeze blowing through here. Fantastic!

This place use to be my home years ago, I called it Bum Park. I was homeless for almost 2yrs and I slept in that park. It seems to have gotten worse over the years unfortunately. Seems like we are good at building football stadiums but not homeless shelters. Pretty screwed up priorities if u ask me. I found a fast food job while I was still sleeping in that park and I fought hard to get off the streets, Ive never been back thank goodness. Many ppl dont get that opportunity and really do want help, not ALL want to help themselves but a lot of them do.

I suddenly gave the park a one-star because of the drug activity that goes on there however I do like going to this park on the weekends and handing out of sandwiches it only cost fifteen bucks to make 20 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches a bottle of water and a granola bar

I wait for the bus once in a while there. But I would never venture into that park. Im here again at the bus stop. Homeless at the picnic tables close to bus bench. Come on bus.. Where are you!! Take me away from here!!!! 12/14/19 All the wrongs aint gonna make it right. You cant take out what has been permanent.

Would be nice to use volleyball courts, Id make sure to comb the sand for glass and needles. Plenty of homeless people/addicts using drugs, shooting up, crapping in surrounding alleyways. Wouldnt recommend doing anything here.

Whatever you do dont take children or pets. There are drug needles in the playground sand. Homeless people wont let your children play on the jungle gym when they are doing their drugs, mostly in the morning. The police dont have the backbone to tell them to leave. We have lost our parks. The other park nearby Catalina splash park is overtaken by these shopping park homeless people that tie their chiwawa dogs barked and These people tease and threaten the children. Police told me they cant take sides. Im ready to sell my house to the U of A. They r offers is generous.

My kids and I missed a bus at this corner so we decided to play on the playground for about 45 mins until the next bus came, looks like theres a bit of a homeless problem there but no one bothered us. Also the playground had a few pieces of trash on and around it but overall we had fun it was a pretty big play structure too, the kids thought it was a castle lol
