Beautiful theater! Recently saw a rendition of La Traviata here, and the general decor and ambiance of the theater set the stage perfectly for the opera. Lovely show and a good time!

Went for a concert.(Styx) The sound system and acoustics were on point, but it’s clearly an old venue, and unfortunately not in a well preserved historic sort of way. The chairs are not comfortable and the upholstery on them is itchy if you have the misfortune of opting to wear shorts or a skirt that leaves your legs exposed. Just needs some updates and a little TLC

Nice elegant setting but at the same time technically dated. The stage itself is fantastically set up but the sound could be better. Also the slope leading down to the stage isnt enough to keep you from looking at the back of somebodys head.

It was great. We had seat more towards the middle but they made us move to the right a few seats and gave our seats to someone else with no explanation. We ordered our seats the day they came out. Outside of that everything was great!

Saw world renowned soprano Renee Fleming at this venue which is in the Tucson Convention Center Complex in downtown Tucson. The Tucson Symphony Orchestra staff is amiable & helpful and the venue itself is comfortable. The greeting/waiting area is replete with refreshments and the restrooms are centrally located. I used Parking Area A ($10) which I think is the closest but still a hike from the entrance.

Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20 pit on a warm and connected show for all his fans. He even hinted MB20 may be touring in 2020. Guess the 20 part makes sense. The venue was well staffed and easy to negotiate, hope there are more shows here.

Visited the Tucson Music Hall to see the John Cougar Mellencamp concert. The venue was not super large oh, it was still somewhat intimate. Just not a big fan of venues that do not have aisles down the middle. If you are sitting in the middle you have to make your way past a lot of people to get out. If you are sitting on the ends a lot of people are constantly walking by you. That being said I would still go to another concert here. There are many hotels in the area within a 1-mile walk but be aware of the neighborhood is not that great and the hotels are pretty run down.

Funny how they have a no backpack policy even if its a small purse backpack. After being forced to walk back to my car to put my backpack purse away I witness two older women walking in with backpack purses. My advice is to check what their policy is and to ask them kindly to stick to it.

I went to the Tucson Music Hall to see the Rob Thomas concert. Rob Thomas was amazing! The concert hall was pretty nice and the sound was excellent. The only problem I had was I was stopped on the way in for having a water bottle. I told the gentleman I would be back and turned to go back to my car to put it up and he stopped me again to tell me I also would not be allowed to bring my purse in because it is a tiny backpack and absolutely no backpacks are allowed. I tried to explain that it was a purse and was actually smaller than many of the other purses they were allowing in. He said it didnt matter because it was shaped like a backpack and so not allowed. I feel like this is ridiculous. My bag is just big enough for my wallet, keys, and phone, which is what I had in it. Because of this rule I had to keep all three of these items in my lap during the concert. Frustrating.

We usually sit on the upper deck and we still have a nice view, sometimes some heads get in your way, but all in all we really enjoy the place. My wife and I saw Tim Allen perform in May 2018. There is currently construction in the area so be aware. Parking was easy and the hall was a very short walk. The hall itself is older with the old style theater seats, red velvet, silver backs. The rows were wide so you did not have to stand up to let people pass by, good leg room. Viewing angles were good and the sound was good. There was only one set of Mens and Womens restrooms, so plan accordingly. They did have adult drinks available. All in all a good experience. Highly recommend Tim Allen, for adult audiences.

Review №72

The last 3 shows I have gone to have had sound issues. And this is over a long time period because I dont go to that many. The latest show was Chicago. The band did great! But the lead guitar was very quiet until almost the end of the show. The bassist was the same. And almost all the mics for everyone was way too low. We couldnt hardly hear them and we were in row M. A friend was in the second row and said the same thing. Glad I didnt pay for more expensive seats. But its almost like the sound engineer doesnt check his mix until either someone complains..or maybe when he wants to make it louder for the end of the show. Thats not how its done. It can be louder at the end...but we should be able to hear the rest. All the solos were so quiet, except for the lead vocalist. His was fairly ok, not good, until it got louder. But it was so disappointing. Probably the only time I will ever see Chicago. And I will be telling my grandchildren about the horrible sound mix. If you are going to charge the amount of a real show, you should have a real engineer. People are going to stop spending their money if it stays like this. Very sad..... Cmon Tucson..we are better than this! I also heard women in the restroom saying the music was too loud. But that wasnt it, it was that the mics needed to be louder to fill up the room with the music. Yikes! Sad day for me last night. I was expecting at least to hear it. :(

So the venue was perfectly great. Sounded great venue is well kept up, if it gets busy though there is no roo. To walk around in the concourse. The staff is the biggest problem, I went there for a concert in which we were supposed to be in a VIP line and the ushers had no idea what line was what we had to get moved around 6 times before they figured out what was happening. On top of that they were extremely rude when the patrons became understandably frustrated.
