Great venue for live music. Good acoustics, and Drinks. Plenty of seating and space to Dance. We rang in the New Year 2020 while listening to Prince music. Had a great time. The Rialto is a great venue for live music in Downtown Tucson. Rialto Historic Theater.
I had the best experience here. They have a ticket subscription thing that is definitely worth taking a look at. Drinks are a little overpriced but it’s worth it! I’ve seen plenty of bands here and I will continue coming back. The arena is actually pretty big. Bathrooms are kept nice and the interior is overall just amazing.
Great place for concerts and cultural events, in the heart of Tucson downtown you can find many things to do after entering to the show (specially for Food and beer), must of the shows dont have seats, there is only a little space with seats, they have bar with different drinks and beers and cheaper than other places, the only snack I think are popcorn so dont spect any other kind of food, the place is great, clean, you can see your favorite artist very near to you the only disadvantage is to find a place for parking, you have to find it between the downtown streets, at least for me is not big deal and I can find a little fast.
Fantastic little theater in Tucson. Great venue for a moderately-sized live music show. They do an excellent job of curating acts, and have a decent bar selection including local beers and mixed drinks.
The Rialto Theater is a historic part of Tucson and has showcased events for all genres. Last night I was there attending a Muay Thai Boxing Event, and was surprised to see so many people! The the theater is manly a stand-up theater in the main area, but does have seating in the balcony area. This is definitely something you need to know if you are planning to see an event there! They have a couple of bar areas for drinks and restrooms to use for intermission. Its an Historic experience. Recommend :)
Sound and line of sight viewing good. Line to enter moved swiftly. Although we had floor seats for this performance, Im told there are no seats (other than balcony) for many shows. Slope of main floor makes sliding forward off the chair a challenge. Had to re-adjust about 6 times during performance. Folding seating makes for really tight rows.
Love live shows here . Retro kinda place, open bar patio. Definitely worth driving down from phx to catch shows here.
Love the Rialto. The newly renovated restrooms are super-clean and really nice. My only quibble is the very tight seating - so tight that my wife and I both had to stand up and exit the aisle to allow others to get in and out. But its a cool venue and overall was an enjoyable experience.
So Rialto is a great venue. But I have a major grievance. Ive been allowed to enter with my led orbit multiple times. But now all of a sudden Im not allowed, but yet fiber optic whips are allowed? But I thought no flinging items allowed. Whatever Ill take the 2 hr drive to the van buuren from now on. Peace
The Rialto is an outstanding venue. They get a wide variety of artists to perform. They do not over sell the venue and the drinks are reasonably priced. Standing room only on the bottom floor and theater seating in the balcony. They usually open a side door for fenced in smoking area. The bathrooms are newly renovated. Ive been to no less than six concerts here, and Ive not been disappointed at any of them.
Great local venue. Needs better seating when offeted.
Nice theater, open for heavy metal concerts, went to see avatars first show in tuscon, verry freindly staff. Overall experience was great
Great old theater experience. Cool atmosphere and resourceful use of the facility. First visit was seeing Post Modern Jukebox, great theater for that show.
We like this place. Went to see Theory of a Deadman and had such an amazing time!! Drinks were expensive but that’s to be expected at any venue such as this. The restrooms are clean, and pretty retro. Great experience!
Awesome New years Prince concert!
Smaller venue, very crowded on lower level with minimal seating. The floor slopes downwards towards the stage. Makes it awkward to stand unless you are 18 years old & able to jump for 4 hours straight....The A/C was either not on or inadequate for the venue. Be prepared to SWEAT!
Great venue- great customer service!! Amazing bands and groups!!
Its too hot during summer.. Many Great Shows Come Thru. If you do any hardcore shows, watch your teeth the floor is hard.
Seems like there was some concern over the AC being off possibly and 2 people needed medical attention during the Calexico and Iron & Wine show this weekend, so I hope the Management addresses this. I didnt notice, but do have a solid heat tolerance. Overall, the venue is great... Nice new bathrooms, speedy bars with good selection and fair prices, general admission setup that allows for good viewing and sound, and a wide variety of National artists come to the stage.
The Rialto is a great place to watch your favorite bands. We watched The Revivalists, and they rocked the house.
The Rialto is dope, especially after upgrading the bathrooms. The main problem is paying 8 for a dragoon thats 6 at R Bar. Go the heck outside and catch some fresh air between sets, youll thank me for it. Also...if you go to a show....shower...thats more a review on the people than the venue.
Great old theater. The folding seats on the main floor are way too narrow and jammed together. The balcony is a better choice for sit down events. We gave up 5th row seats to move upstairs because the folding chairs were so uncomfortable.
Great concert venue. Reserved seating always makes it better! John Mayall concert was great!
The musicians were wonderful. The venue, not so much. The seats were way too tight with no leg room and made watching the first act, very uncomfortable. The sound system works great but the noise and loud talking from people at the bar area and the crowd standing behind the floor seating area was very distracting, and in my opinion very disrespectful for those of us trying to listen to the great music. If you could make an enclosed sound room for those loud talkers who would rather chat it up than listening to the show, it would be much to the delight of those of us who appreciate the great artists that perform at the Rialto. I have followed blues music for the last 20 years and have been to venues all over the US and sadly, The Rialto Theater has been the worst venue I have ever been to. If there is a governing board for the Rialto that listens to the comments made by the public re: shows at this venue, I would very much like to be involved so I can help resolve some of items I have complained about in this review.
I saw Rumors of Fleetwood Mac, a cover band, endorsed by Mick Fleetwood. They were pretty incredible.
Small venue gives one a more personal vibe during performances. Balcony seating was comfortable and had nice views.
Great sound, not a bad seat in the house.
The Michael Jackson Experience was FANTASTIC!!! The drinks were good and security was on point. Great atmosphere and had a great time!
Awesome show by Zeppelin USA!. So good. The crowd was enthusiastic and the staff was great.
Very historic part of Downtown Tucson. Across the street from the Hotel Congress. Good location for a great night out. As it near a parking garage, bars, and restaurants. So if you are attending a concert or play, it in a perfect location for a complete night out.
My first time seeing a venue here and it will be the last time. $80.00 front row seat could not take pictures of the event, and there big ape security guards wouldnt even let you stand up near the stage.
Great venue for a concert. Its not too big, so its easy to be as close to the artists as you want. The lighting is also really great, especially as they change and flash with the music.
This is heart of Tucson! Rialto was absolutely amazing. I went to see Beach House and they were spectacular and the sound of the theater was pretty good and love the ambaince.
Nice little venue! Ive been there seeing Phantogram and it was a good size for that concert. You can stand up or sit down some chairs. Good selection of beer.
Best music venue in Tucson. Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul.
Have seen some great concerts here! Its a small venue with a lot of history right in the heart of downtown Tucson! One of my all time favorite places for live music!
Such a great place to see a show! From the historical relevance to the ambiance of the venue itself. Just an all around 5 star joint!
Ive enjoyed this place for as long as Ive been coming here. For the shows I have seen, they have been great. The beer selection is decent but good enough. It is also nice that you can purchase drinks from R Bar next door. They have good bathrooms and they have the portable restrooms outside. The sound is usually very good, though I have had experiences where the sound was off.
Not the cleanest place, but not bad for the type of venue it is and being regularly drenched in beer and the sort..The sound system is very good and was a hood venue for a concert.Bathrooms are good and pretty clean even while being overwhelmed with a large crowd. It is downtown so parking can be tricky, expensive and far away.
We went to an Aaron Lewis show last night and the venue was awesome! Theres not a bad seat in the house! We had general admission tickets so its was all standing. They do have a balcony as well. One of the best concerts Ive ever been to! Id definitely go here again. Its a very personal experience. Also there were no sound issues. The only complaints I could have would be that it was hot and being from out of town parking was kinda difficult to find. But thats just being way too picky haha. Go to a show here. You wont regret it.
Beautiful architecture and the employees were very courteous.
This is the best theater Ive ever been to .perfect place to see a concert unless its some huge huge act you can basically just walk up to the stage anytime you want most people just walk around the front very small and intimate. Maybe three or four hundred people
Huge improvements from the last visit! They have upgraded the restrooms and added more stalls! No more waiting for 30 minutes to have a bio break! The staff was very friendly and the event was great! There are beverages available on every level.I recomend the next upgrade project be the seats in the balcony. :)
Last resort. Terrible seating. Great artist deserve a better venue. Owners need to spend some big $ to renovate the place.
Awesome little theater! I came here a couple months ago to see Modest Mouse with my sister and a friend and it was one of the best shows I’ve been to!Pretty easy to get to, good area there’s some spots to eat nearby I will be back for another show even though I’m up in Mesa :)
Robert Cray was AWSOME however, seats too close together and we were not allowed to stand up! I will find another place for concerts unless..its someone I HAVE to see.
Have never had a bad experience in the many times I have been to Rialto. Staff is always courteous and friendly!
Great sound, even rows in the balcony are good views. The size of the seats though are very restricting. ZERO leg room, and width in the seats. You are basically not moving, not comfortable. With that in mind, this building is very old and I suspect people back in the day were 5 ft. tall and 100 lbs. at most, lol. We noticed that the next to the back row people were sitting on the top edge of their seats since no one was seated in the very last row. Otherwise, you could go stand on the lobby, but youd miss the concert. The upstairs bar is like a secret because the line was 10 times less than downstairs. Drinks were good, strong.
Been going here for years. Always a blast. Excellent staff, both service and security. Always been well taken care of even in unfavorable situations that can arise with crowds of that size and nature, they always handle things quickly, fairly and safely. Great setup in such a beautiful historical building. Great selection and diversity of shows. Fair prices.
Sound is OK. Beer selection could be better- I wish they poured something local instead at the main bar. Friendly staff, clean bathroom. The attached bar and patio are great though. Better drinks out there and nice outdoor seating.
Great music venue. Smaller so you can get more up close and personal.
Awesome, intimate venue downtown. Regardless of whether youre sitting in the balcony or down on the floor, you dont feel as if you are at all removed from the show. There are several locations to get drinks throughout the venue as well as the well located R Bar nextdoor. We try to stop there before each show to grab a drink.
Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Tucson. Their bathroom facilities were recently updated and are a vast improvement to what they used to be. There are two levels to the viewing area however the balcony is usually off limits for small shows or it is an extra charge to go up there or people with annual memberships may go up there. The bottom floor area is spacious with no columns obstructing your view and the floor is gradually sloped concrete. For more mellow shows, folding chairs are put out on either side of the bottom viewing area. The stage is a pretty typical size (maybe a tad bit smaller) but definitely not huge. The sound can be very good. I have had mixed results based on the bands sound person. There is plenty of space to reposition yourself around the sound cones emenating from the large stacks of speakers to give your ears some.equalizer options. There is a bar at the back of the bottom floor viewing area. The exit spills into a large (fairly clean) alley where there are several bars and food places nearby.
Really a cool and throw back venue in Tucson. Sound and lights are pretty good and pro. Little balcony and just a nice, pleasant vibe. Saw l& here and was killer.
Anytime an event is hosted at the Rialto I know Ill have a good time! Tickets for many events arent expensive at all and the addition of the R Bar for a different atmosphere is compelling.
RWA, very fun show. Cameramanning wack.
Had a great time seeing Rumours, also a band before them played and I enjoyed them as well, I was upset I didnt catch their name because a group of grown woman were having a loud conversation during the performance, after the break I did move more to the front. If you are going to have a conversation during a performance either dont go so others can enjoy or just stay in the back.
One of my favourite venues anywhere, and they always bring really interesting and cool artists/shows instead of the ones you see everywhere.
Great venue to see great performers! Eric Johnson was on fire!
Always a pleasure! Dweezils show was Awesome!
I have enjoyed many shows over my 20yrs coming!!! Newly remodeled bathrooms in the main lobby and the access to the R Bar form outside, add in a new new and amazing experience!
Cool theater! Clean updated bathrooms, always a plus! Miller Time-old pals from So. Cal, great show!!!
Went there twice 4 years apart and it didnt disappoint either time.. seen Stephan Marley now atmosphere. Loved both times except the no re-entry sign .. would have loved to go get my ID from the car
It was a nice atmosphere. The staff was very friendly. And the bathroom was clean.
Great intimate setting to see your favorite bands if you are lucky enough to have them come to town, play here, and you find out before the show sells out.
The concert was great; the theatre, a dump.
Great stage and viewing but not much air circulation. Even on a cool night it was warm and stuffy.
So great when there is seating!
Nice small venue. Great for music.
Amazing for the concert I went to but it was very very small, however it was so fun like so fun there! If I were old enough to have a drink and wanted to the bar seemed nice
Great place to catch a show. Do yourself a favor and go to the R-Bar to grab your drinks. Better beer and cocktail selection plus a very nice ambiance. Renovated bathrooms are impressive to say the least.
Old theatre with nice sound acoustics. Recently repainted and upgraded. Nice venue for all. Limited seating for certain shows.
Fun night! Prince tribute band was
Ive always loved the sound at the Rialto, favorite venue in Tucson hands down. My legs always need a good stretch afterwards with those slanted floors!
One of my favorite music venues of all time. You can usually get a great view.
They put on a great concert here. Drinks are not cheap.
Great venue. Big but cozy!
First timer. It was great, staff was nice and helpful.
After purchasing tickets advertised for the Rialto theater, the venue got changed to 191 Toole. While shows at 191 Toole are more intimate and have their own benefits, I have never enjoyed seeing shows there and have stopped purchasing tickets advertised for that venue. When I tried to get a refund for my tickets due to venue change, I was denied abruptly. I asked the woman that I spoke with on the phone if I could talk to the box office manager directly (she was present at the time), and I was informed by the woman that the manager could not take my phone call and would call me back. I never received a phone call and was never able to talk directly with the manager. I cannot find any terms of agreement posted on their website regarding this issue and dont know what legal grounds they have for changing venues without offering a refund. As a Tucson native and life long customer thus far, Im disappointed with my experience and the Rialto will no longer get my support. Be careful of unexpected venue changes.
Its a great place, lovely updated (accessible) bathrooms, and they feature a wide variety of shows. BRING YOUR EARPLUGS!! Ive only been to one show that was at a comfortable volume
Boyfriend brought me to see Atmosphere. Got to meet Dem Atlas.
Sarah is super nice! Also awesome venue.
Afro-Cuban All Stars were AMAZING!!!
Great venue for shows. The accustic is amazing and I love the dancing area!
An intimate venue, good sound, conveniently located.
Great historic venue with great music from the local music scene and national artists. The intimate size of the venue puts you up close and personal with your favorite artists and directly into the show.
Great venue for any show, very intimate and well arranged
Amazed with service, great staff, and awesome artists you could find there!
Great small venue experience with Patty Griffin!
Okay but dress cool it turns into an oven during concerts
A favorite place for live music. Get tickets early--the line can get pretty long.
