Mountain course, Absolutely beautiful course, Played first week of November and the course was in perfect shape. The greens are perfect and fairways beautiful. I don’t know that I’ve ever played a golf course in this good of shape. Very friendly staff, bring a camera. Challenging course but you can also be aggressive and score in many places. Looked all Over Tucson for a nice course when I was there for a day, went here and was not let down at all. Can’t say enough good things

Beautiful landscape and best food I have had in years, great presentation, kind and courteous staff. No wonder they have a 4 diamond rating since 2012. Oh and the golf course is amazing too. Oh yeah the gym and day spa is out of this world. Well worth it every time. Really cant say enough great things about them. Thank you to all the staff that work there.

Most peaceful place in world during winters.

I was there for an afternoon tournament. The regular parking lots were all full so I had to use the far away gravel employee lot. Our start way delayed by frost supposedly and then the pace of play of the morning groups. The course was in good condition, but with the layout is seemed more like a drive through the subdivision with some golf on the side. Signage was a little lacking. I wont be rushing back.

Omg..such a relaxing and gorgeous place to just get away. Great scenery, 2 pools ( 1 family, 1 lap pool) game tables, ground chest game, basketball net for shooting hoops, fuse table.. great service and amenities at pool. I can go on and on... I love this place.

Play golf at many courses regularly around Tucson. Played the Mountain course for the 1st time in about 3 years. Forgot its such a wonderful design, forces you to think about placement of every shot. The tee boxes and fairways were in outstanding condition, especially for this time of year. Greens were very fast and tricky but though recently sanded, putted true. Thoroughly enjoyed the round.

Amazing resort the staff is so friendly and they truly made our experience here that much better by making us feel at home! I actually took up up golfing for this first time here and the course was just gorgeous it was well taken care of and it was such an exhilarating experience! Thank you Ventana Canyon for a great weekend!

We were greeted by Andrew when we walked in and he was so friendly and welcoming!!! He then took us on a quick helpful tour of the place since it was our first visit. He was such a big help! We then got help from Erika who politely stoped what she was doing so she could personally drive us to the restaurant at the other location. Love our room and the location. A+++ for service will be coming back!

This was my second stay at Ventana Canyon. The first was at the Lodge and it was outstanding! There, I had a two bedroom loft room. It was beautiful and spacious.This trip I stayed at the Loews section.My room was a generous size with a seating area and balcony. Everything was clean, updated and comfortable. The staff at Loews was friendly and professional.Would definitely stay again

Great, friendly service and the suite was very clean and a great place to spend time with our boys. The zero entrance pool was perfect with our young boys since they are beginning swimmers. Lots of fun oversized games to play over by the pool.

Over rated. Dont put deposit down because if you have conflict they will not work with you. Old rooms need updating. Golf course has issues, brown spots, flooded areas. I have been playing this course for over 15 years, must be new management because they used to be customer obsessed, not any more.

Awful golf experience. Pro shop is a joke, no clubhouse for an after round drink or sandwich and cart staff lacking in the helpful gene. No cigar smoking on golf course - never heard of such a place. All this before you get to the golf - blind tee shots and no information for the golfer, pictures on scorecard(no), corse map (no), place is a joke. It sound be in receivership soon - don’t waste your time.

Excellent course conditions. Beautiful scenery and some Wowee wow holes. Great bag drop and starter staff. Arrive an extra ten minutes early to figure out where to go.Pro shop is hard to find if this is your first visit.

A wonderful golf course and country club. Ive been a member here for about a year and still discover new parts of the club I hadnt in the past. The food served is comparable with similar restaurants and the service has always been friendly and nice. The hotel is (however expensive) very nice and I would definitely recommend to those visiting Tucson. Great experience.

Played Canyon on Tuesday 10/18/2016. Excellent conditions. 5 stars! Smooth fast greens. PGA tour quality. Golf Staff very friendly and attentive. There were at least 12 that guided and assisted my foursome like expected from a 5 star resort.

I was born in Tucson and come here on weekend getaways with my wife a couple of times a year. I also belong to a golf club here in town that travels all over the area playing different courses every Saturday so I have played Vantana many many times. The lodge and hotel are great, staff is great. I think they have done a great job of designing and constructing the complex as to keep the damage to our beautiful desert to a minimum. The golf courses are always in good shape, especially considering the design of the courses makes maintenance a nightmare. All the slopes and severe bunkers must drive the staff nuts. If you like level lies or are not in good physical shape, skip the golf and enjoy the rest of the facility. If you are going to play, do not reach or walk where you cant see, many Western Diamondbacks reside in the area. Good thing is, you get a free drop away from them they arent aggressive like the Mohave or nearly as toxic and I have never seen a mohave on the courses. If you know where to look and keep you your eyes peeled you will see coyotes, bobcats, rabbits, deer and birds if all sorts. Golf courses are a savior of desert wildlife.

I did not stay or eat at the hotel but played the Mountain Course. Wow, what a beautiful golf course and memorable experience. The design of the course is spectacular and each hole was another work of art (and challenge). Dont miss it. The only suggestion is GPS in the carts but I carry a range finder so it didnt affect me.

Horrible! We booked a Tee Time through Loews Hotel where we were staying. We set for 4 - and playing Canyon. We advised we were playing with kids and needing to rent clubs, we were in Tucson for a short stay, and a round of golf was a Christmas present for my oldest. We did not get a reach out from the Golf course, after our booking and request for club rentals, prior to our arrival. Having come from Loews where the service is incredibly accommodating, we were astounded by the rudeness we encountered. I actually had to say dont talk smack about us over the radio. Where upon me saying this he held the radio up and his hands up like Im not doing anything-shock - surprised we could hear them?! When we continued to the pro shop my BF was informed he could not wear denin and must have a collared shirt. We explained we were from New Mexico and we were not informed of the dress code or we would of been ready. The Pro Shop employee showed him the 50% off shelf, then went over that myself, and children also needed too..wear collared shirts and golf pants of proper fabric, he actually felt the fabric of the pants on the shelf and said to me I could not wear workout clothes either. I was in Athleisure clothes and felt It was ridiculously embarrassing especially when he also went over what the children were wearing... I kept repeatedly explaining that if we had known we would have meet the requirements. We were treated as if we were deplorable and if we purchased items to be deemed acceptable to play their course. (Which were clearly out of season and discounted for that reason) from their pro shop wed be accepted and theyd be doing us a favor. We took our selves and business to another Golf course where we had a wonderful time. Prior to leaving we asked to speak to the manager however The manager was not available on site and when Bob OBrien called later, he made it clear they were not associated with the hotel and had no apology for how we were treated. However he would give a discount on the clothes in their pro shop and discount golf rental. We were never bothered by price, will not spend money for disrespectful service.

If you enjoy a two plus hour check in process this is the place for you. In my opinion the service is seriously not worth the price when you are still sitting in the lobby hours after arrival.
