Went to a Roadrunners here with my brother. We parked in the east lot not realizing we had to walk around the convention center to purchase tickets. Apart from that though the game was an enjoyable experience! The restrooms were clean and it happened to be $2 hot dog night which was great. We saw older couples to avid hockey fans to families and even young professionals enjoying their Friday night. An inexpensive sport outing for all groups!
Went to the Sugar Skulls Indoor Football game at the Tucson Convention Center Arena. Although we lost to Phoenix the game was great, action packed, fast-moving. Its good to see more and more fans going to the games. The seats at the arena are comfortable but are narrow, makes for a tight fit for everyone. Food is expensive but thats how it is at games. Still a great time!!!
We just put the coffee bar in that you guys are going to enjoy in the future
Comi-con was great seen lots of people and many different characters it was a 3 day event and i could only be there on friday but i will definitely plan on being there for the whole event next year it was a very exciting event just to say it was amazing and lots of fun for the kiddos i posted a lot of photos for those of you who couldent join in on the fun i really hope you enjoy the photos and feel free to make a comment on them be safe and god bless
Saw some of the best concerts of my life there...
Have been here for hockey games and Disney on Ice with the kids. Easy to get in and out of the area - parking was extra; however, the last time there I scored a street parking spot for free! Our hands were full and the Ushers were very helpful and they helped us to our chairs.Ticketmaster tickets online have a ton of fees.
They do so many different events here and change it in so many ways, its incredible! I think any review would really depend on the event your attending. Ive never had a bad experience here, and dont know of anyone that has. Only negative when weve attended anything is the ridiculously priced food and drinks, but thats common at any event these days, they do it because they can! They have recently started construction on a connecting hotel, which will definitely make things more convenient for guests that are attending an event from out of town!
First time visiting a quilt show. It was truly amazing to what can created from needle and thread.
Enjoyed watching the indoor football game. The home team is the Sugar Skulls. The facility is very nice and plenty of choices for food and your favorite beverage. Will be back next season.
Good time at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show! This will be the first of many trips with my family. Lots of vendors in 2019, they opened a new area in the Convention center for this. Good kid activities, educational experience for all. Lots of variety from raw minerals to jewelery. Lots of vendors had freebies for kids, keeping them entertained and engaged. Thanks to Tucson police department and others for providing security. Good assortment of vendors provided food and drink.
Love the Tucson gem and mineral show. Before you go set a budget and stick to the budget. The prices vary low to high. But stick to budget bring cash and bargain. Vendors a very friendly and approachable for most part. Nice they have food trucks out. Be prepared to pay for parking.
I brought one of my best friends to the Gem Show for her birthday. The vendors were nice, and the best part was the police officer guarding the multi- million dollar displays actually was giving geology and gemology lectures! He was FANTASTIC, explaining key parts of each exhibit item and why its so important. Go TPD for having a geology guy!
Went to see the Christian band For King and Country, great experience the band was awesome and did not disappoint, will be going to see them again, we took 15 of our kids from the church youth group, and all had a great time, the facility was great also and very clean and comfortable, hope to see more events like this there...God is good!
Great place to go too because they offer so many different family friend things to do. Only downside is if you go to a hockey game the seats are so small you are smacking into other people constantly.
Fun place to go for events. We went to see the Roadrunners hockey game. It was quite an enjoyable night, very busy, and it was family oriented. Parking costs about $10 the night we went, cash only. We will definitely go again for another hockey game.If you find my review helpful, please click like
Had a great time at Navy night watching the hockey game! Super nice staff and great environment. Clean and friendly place.
I went for a Roadrunners hockey game on a Saturday night with my wife. What a fabulous experience! For $35 a seat, we got glass-side seats. Couldnt be closer to the action. The mood and atmosphere was great. Restrooms were clean and close, and concessions close and reasonably priced. Like the opposite of a U of A football game. Highly recommend taking the family and going to a game; if you have little ones, though, maybe dont sit glass-side :-)
I had a real fun time. Pretty good and decent sized Con and Exhibit Hall. Spent alot of money and had the opportunity to meet some really rad artists and writers. Will go again next year for sure.
Pretty Cool! Worlds largest gem show!
Working on the new hotel & its going to great place for out of town family & friends to stay
Had a fantastic time attending the 5FDP concert! Great experience hope we can continue to go to concerts there.
Confusing access for first time visitors. Lots of climbing both from outside entrance on one side and inside stairs to and from seats. Good choices slim but satisfactory. Liquor choices slim. However, the seats were cushioned.
Saw Dream Theater in the concert hall. One of the best sounding venues Ive ever been to. Look forward to coming back someday.
Great place to have a concert at. Went here to see Five Finger Death Punch and it was amazing. The reason Im giving 4 stars and not 5 is because they made me throw away my UNOPENED water bottle. And I really dont feel like spending $4.25 for 16 fl oz that I can get for $1 anywhere else.
It was large, well lit, and equipped with all the latest amenities. The friendly staff were very helpful and professional. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there and would certainly visit the center again in the future.
Benefit meetings for a southern Arizona organization.
Went to a Roadrunners game. Not a bad seat in the house. Beer selection was pretty good, you have to walk around a bit to find them all. Food was very good. A little pricey, but its a sports event so its to be expected.
Had no idea as we were driving down from Phoenix what we were in for at this venue. Turns out its super nice its in a great area being right next to the police station. The venue was built like a small Symphony Hall which was just fine by me since I love music of all time. Very elegant place nice sound and great staff friendly and professional. Like I said we drove down from Phoenix for a concert Rob Thomas and we had a great time
I attended a concert at the Tucson Music Hall which is part of the convention center campus. It was a very nice theater. Not too large oh, still felt somewhat intimate. Im just not a fan of venues that dont have Isles in the middle. So if youre seated in the middle you must go pass quite a few people and if youre Seated on the ends people are constantly walking by you. That being said the concert was fantastic it was John Mellencamp, and the Acoustics were really good! I would definitely go see a concert here again!
Paid $600 for front row seats to stare at security guards all night. The acoustics sucked for metal bands. Avoid section 114 rowA. So disappointed i paid for these seats. The bands kicked a$$ TCC not so much. Will not be coming back for concerts.
Comic Con, Con Nichiwa, Gem Show, Roadrunners hockey, U of A hockey. Snow. Today. 2019/2/22. See my pics post!2019/10/29 Comicon is coming!
Convention facilities are beautiful and well kept.
Tucson Convention Center ..if you love Gems & Minerals or know someone who does bring them to here . Tons of beautiful gems...
I love going here to see the BALLET... Great seats and you can really HEAR IT ALL from anywhere in the room.. You got to go and see for yourselves !!!
Place is dirty as hell - fire the city mayor for her role in this shutdown mess
We were there for a volleyball tournament. The security staff were not overly aggressive with their bag checks, which I appreciate. I really wish they would offer multiple day parking passes.
We love coming here every year to see The Nutcracker ballet with Grandma! The ballet and the facilities are wonderful. However it is disappointing to not have the water flowing and the Beautiful outside area filled with water and the waterfalls while waiting to enter such a nice facility. It looks like it is dilapidated and falling apart.
This was my first concert at the TCC in a long time. I was disappointed in the sound system. While super loud, I couldnt hear FFDP or the other bands besides Three Days Grace sing over the instruments. I went and saw FFDP last year at Ak- Chin Pavilion and the sound there was fantastic. I will only go see shows there from now on. Its worth the time and money to make the trek up there. While the sound sucked the view was fantastic. The TCC really doesnt have a bad seat in the house. I was easily able to see the performers.
Got in free with the high school students. Largest display of gem stones in all sizes. Unique show displaying dinosaur parts, sunken treasures and meteorites. A must show for the rock hound.
Seating is pretty tight and no leg room for others to pass in front of you. We were asked to all step out of our seating area when others needed to get in. From where we sat the stage and performers was still within a good range of sight in section 222 at the very top.
The experiment and shows whr good thanks Arizona
A beautiful convention center.I am impressed with their floor plan which has plenty of room for hundreds of booths. An awesome area for indoor events
I used to work in there for the events and concerts. Its a very good place.
Hundreds of vendors, though not much info or displays re prehistoric animals andtheir petrified remains. Many commercial vendors of all sorts. Loved the display on stone cutting cabochon shaping. Refreshments outside. Surprised no discount on tickets for the last day.
Came down from the White Mountains to attend Tucson Comic-Con held here, and I had a good time. The venue was big enough for a reasonably sized con, it took a couple hours to walk the sales floor and then to go to the panel I was speaking on. Everything looked clean and other than a few instances of being redirected the Long Way by security, which was annoying, I have no complaints. On the way out I even looked at some of their displays, including a huge 1300 pound nugget of copper that was on display courtesy of the City of Tucson. Thats a lot of copper.
Great venue. Its big alright. Security is tight for concerts. Leave the six shooter at home. Huge venue for the gem show, if u got the right passes that is.
Went to a hockey game. The team did not disappoint, the facility on the other hand cou,d use a bit of updating to be a bit more wheelchair accessible. I will say the workers there were very helpful to try to offset the lack of ramps, etc.
Went for tucson comic con. Had a great time. Parking was 10 dollars for the day.
I went during comic con and idk. The experince was meh. Just a bunch of venders all be it the prices were fair. But their wasnt anything that made it stand out.
AGTA 2016 Gem and Jewelry Expo at the Tucson Convention Center. We visited a unique exhibit of 500 year old natural saltwater pearls, which were shown right next to the centerpiece, the Logan Sapphire from the Smithsonian Institute.
Came here for the Reptile Expo today. Fantastic venue. It was very large and spacious, only complaint is how busy the place was. It was packed. But then again it is always nice to see a great turnout, and a lot of support. Kenny loved the snakes, too.
Its conveniently located downtown within walking distance to most everything. The buildings and arena are old.
Had fun at the Justin Moore concert, great venue and lots of space I hope to see more concerts here!
Parking $10 for roadrunners game. Top row still great seats
Easy and convenient to get in to parking and stadium. Small venue makes it easy to get to snack bar or restrooms. Seating was tight, constantly standing up to let people thru. Clean, nice stadium, well organized.
This is a great place. There are often many events, such as exhibitions and performances. Here is a good place if you want to spend your leisure time. I have seen a mineral exhibition at here. And I saw Cirque du Soleil Crystal last night. That is a good experience. Maybe you also can find you favorite event at here.
My salesperson Connie Johnson did a superb job in finding us the right car which fits our needs and budget. She is very patient and a good listener. I highly recommend Connie Johnson for your next vehicle purchase. You can find Connie Johnson at Jim Click Dodge at Auto Mall. Great experienced indeed.
Went 2 watch Roadrunners Hockey Game soo Awesome we won 7-4
I went to look at the property to see if I would like it. They have amazing trees around the most of the complex. And a very nice place to do your laundry.I was very pumped about the complex and I will be putting in my application to move in. They have only couple of appointments that are available, so I was lucky enough to get in.
Great Gem and Mineral show. Enough escalators to enter with ease. The show was fantastic.
Had so much fun at the Roadrunner game with the family.. got to try the pastrami sandwich next time it looked yummy!
Great place been there for lots of festivitys
Enjoyed going to Tucson Comic-con at TCC.
I love this place. The Tucson Symphony Orchestra is spectacular. How fortunate we are to have such an orchestra in our community.
Here for the volleyball tournament. very fun and clean place.
Its a good place for trade shows and expositions. They should improve restrooms on Ballroom
Large area for parking in Downtown Tucson with spacious rooms and reception areas. Breakfast setup and service was excellent.
It was amazing, pretty packed though. Had to pay for parking spot but overall was nice. I went there for the live music harry potter show
A simple venue with easy parking. A great show with Steve Martin and Martin Short.
Nice convention center but the home show we went to was absolutely terrible. Nothing but solicitors and scams and the advertised car show only had 10 cars. One of them was an 04 jaguar xj8 with a for sale sign in the window. And the other was an 02 Pontiac GTO. Even the car show was trying to sell me something. FCA was showing off the new RAMS which was cool.
Such a nice conference room for our annual NAJA conference (thanks Gail Levine) and the AGTA showroom was faboulous!
I’ve been going for 40 years. It serves a purpose. The city needs to work better with the Watchtower rooming department. I’m sure we bring in much needed revenue. We come in the summer and stand out in the heat for dinner restaurants. We are not treated as well as we were in past years. We don’t feel welcome at the hotels. There was a time we would be welcomed on their billboard. Now, not so much.
Part of Tucson history.. Great memories... Always great for concerts...
Steep stairs. Few handicap bathrooms. Very uncomfortable seats. Great staff though
Average, not amazing or terrible. Usually pretty clean. I think its getting better with additional work that has been done on the venue.
Visit during the Gem and Mineral show for a good time!
Good acoustics in the Music Hall! Impressive performance from Shen Yun team and live orchestra!
Weve been here many times (hockey and indoor football) and have been entertained each time. The rows of seats are a little too close and sometimes the air smells like cooking oil. However, its never stopped us from having a good time.
Beautiful and huge convention centre. Visited there during our Gem show at that time nearby.
Parking is insufficient, expensive, and the attendants surly. Seats are as comfortable as a1960 schoolbus. Time to tenovate the people setting direction... Then the convention center itself.
Much better after the restoration but new seats a little small for my fat ass. Roadrunners hockey has been great!
Excellent event center for concerts and conventions. Easy parking and convenient entrances.
Wedding expo was so far away from the front door. No signs anywhere telling us were it was. Hardly any vendors. Small room. Only shining moment was vendor We Rock Photography. They were awesome. Not pushy like other vendors, treated us like family.
My experience here has always been great! When I was little I remember going to see Disney on Ice and them putting on a spectacular show! They have many more cool events and they never fail to impress me. There customer service is amazing, 5 stars from me!
They charged $10 parking for my SIL nursing graduation which was crazy, but other than that staff is always friendly and the place is incredibly well kept. I’ve been there for several graduations, car shows, home and garden shows, quilting shows, concerts, etc. and as long as you’re ready for the walk it’s a great facility.
Great experience today doing holiday shopping from local merchants at this event. Though the event was free I thought the $10 parking fee was a little steep.
Always a great space for large events
Home show was fun, and got great information. We also set up some people for jobs.
Cool place to see a concert hockey game indoor football game.
The Best place to se a show Or listen a concert
Its a good venue, but the parking is horrible. Youve got to add a minimum of 30-45 minutes if you want halfway decent parking.
We went for a Bridal Expo and it was hectic, but the convention center itself is a great place to catch a hockey game, see an exhibit and experience some of the expo and trade shows. It is also a great space to stop by when the Gem and Mineral show is in town. Parking usually costs $5-10 (cash only) depending on the event, but there is some allocated street parking that you can snag if you arrive early enough.Sometimes the cathedral has parking for events, but be sure to bring cash for that as well.
I only come here for the home shows. Im glad my family gets free tickets bc entry is overpriced for what it is. On top of charging all of the 100+ vendors to rent spaces, they charge an entry fee of $10 (from what Im told) to each guest. The home shows are cool but not worth paying an entry fee.
We had no trouble with parking. Center was comfortable and plenty of people to help us find seats. Nice restrooms. Handicap restrooms close to handicap seating +++. Lighting was great, and sound too. No trouble leaving center, traffic was well managed. Thank you for a great evening.
I was at the Five Finger Death Punch Concert last night and this place was AWESOME for a concert! The sound was AMAZING!
Went to Tucson Comic-Con down town at the T.C.C. Not many comic book dealers but some crazy artists and costumes. I had Derek Riggs draw Eddie on my arm and immediately got it tatted at Black Rose.Derek said I was the First skin hes ever drawn on. Very special day, indeed.
I’ve been to the convention centre many times, they have mostly been great. Unfortunately the biggest hall, which is used for the annual Southern Arizona Science Fair has terrible climate. It was always hot inside.
Zambonis run at Tucson Convention Centersince the introduction of the Tucson Roadrunner American Hockey League professional ICE HOCKEY! Local hockey teams taking Center ice at TCC. J J Glennon
