From my early childhood nursery (1960s) school to a small, but fascinating early pioneer museum, the Overfield Tavern has been one of my favorite places in Troy for over 50 years. It now houses a wonderful collection of early 19th century furnishings and artifacts. An absolute treasure of a find, and a must-see for anyone interested in Troy and Miami Countys history.

Very cool little spot, with actual artifacts; original kitchenware, clothing, and furniture from the early 1800s. Was given a tour by a very informative, helpful woman and learned a lot about the history of Troy and the tavern. Must-visit spot when in Troy!

Fantastic collection of antiques, decorative arts, and material culture from early Miami County families ... the log tavern is a fascinating remnant of Troys earliest days that has been faithfully interpreted. Some great stories associated with this place!
