Nice park. It has a hiking trail, covered picnic table, restrooms, stairs to launch a kayak and a waterfall. It also has the history of the mill.
Good for a small local hike in the woods. NO mileage and poor signage but within signal for map apps and easy/intuitive to follow simple meandering trail.
This is a wonderful, secluded little park right on the beautiful Cathance river. It is a pretty new park, with a couple of covered picnic areas and a restroom. The trail system goes along the Cathance approximately to the east. This part of the river has several waterfalls and some rapids, but Im not sure how far along youd have to walk to get to see them. (Ive been to the Cathance River Education Alliance trails, which are a couple of miles down the trail, and there are definitely waterfalls/rapids there.) In addition, the kayaking on the tidal side of the Cathance (to the west) is remarkable. There is a gorgeous waterfall right at the park, and you can go several miles downriver. I saw lots of wildlife after only going about a mile down river. Be careful, though, because at low tide there is very little water in the river bed. I got there at exactly low tide for Bowdoinham, and I had to wait about 1.5 hours before the incoming water to be high enough for me to get down river. Fantastic place!
Nice spot to unwind for a few minutes!
Gray place to pull over and take a breather
Nice out of the way park complex. Looked like a good place to paddle, hike, picnic, etc. There are 2 pit toilets and a big parking area.
Good place to bird watch in the spring
Nice quiet location, easy to get to!
Didnt get to really check it out, but the info about the spar mill was pretty cool
A simple place with a good view and covered place to eat. Potapot and walking trail water access for canoe
Winter magic. Thanks BTLT!
Nice place to rest kayak in observe wildlife
The Cathance River trail is beautiful! Definitely good for all experiences.
Good place to have a picnic but the boat launch is a joke even for a kayak
Excellent area hiking trails next to the beautiful Cathance River. Try it in the spring when melting snow makes rapids on the river and makes the waterfall huge.
Nice small park . Connected to long woodsy trail
Great picnic spot, or launch a canoe on the Cathance river.
Great place!
Beautiful place, scenic waterfall, and casual walking trail
Small park with nice trails
Neat little park.
Beautiful
