This is a great donation museum with tons of military history. We loved the tanks outside of the museum. They have an American half track from WW2 and some Russian tanks captured in Desert Storm! Inside the museum has lots of military artifacts from the National Guard including a flame thrower, anti tank gun, rocket launchers, and way too much to list. There was some military gear for the kids to dress up in, which was awesome.

Great staff. Very hospitable. I assisted with taking 57 VCIS SHOW students up to the museum and we all enjoyed learning about the history of the Minutemen and Kansas National Guard. A sincere thank you to all the soldiers and veterans who helped make this happen for these great kids.SHOW stands for Students Helping Out Warriors and is a very nice program to get children involved with helping, learning, giving, and supporting our troops.

Being a Military Veteran I always like checking out Museums for any branch of Military. This was not a let down. It was so cool to see all the things this Museum had to offer. Definitely a fun thing do with any size family. This is a wonderful military museum. It is huge. You can wander through it for hours (and we did) and not see everything. It has exhibits and artifacts from every conflict Kansas troops have participated in from the Civil War to modern day. They have Saddam Husseins uniform, a replica of the MASH set, guns, uniforms and a large collection of vehicles and aircraft outside.

I found this museum along the way to see the other museums in town, and what a great find. I spent about 2 hours at the museum, and there was so much to see. There is a lot of reading, but that is how you learn the stories about the items. I also enjoyed The M.A.S.H setup they had there. The fact that is a free admission makes it that much better. Def will be making another trip when the weather cools down.

The people at this place could not be any nicer or helpful if they tried, they love what they do and love to help educate people about what Kansas National Guard and other units have done for our country! Thanks so much for letting me feel like friend from the moment I walked in the door! Most of these people are older than me but that did not matter they are fantastic people to get to know!

Excellent static display museum at the entrance of Forbes Field Airport. Awesome collection of aircraft and vehicles that served in the Kansas based air and army guard. The collection includes a KC-135 Strato Tanker, an aircraft still operated at Forbes Fields Kansas Air National Guard base. The museum is a wonderful memorial to the men and women who served the Kansas and the United States of America.
