Decided to come here to watch Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Movie had a start time of 1pm. Sat through a plethora of commercials; not even movie previews. Movie didnt even start until 1:23 because the quizzes and Fathom commercials were on loop. They didnt even dim the house lights until 48 mins into the film. One of the main purposes for the whole movie theater experience is total darkness. And to charge $12.50 per ticket for a forty-three year old movie, the experience was MEH.

Saw Get Out here. The theater was nice and clean. It had a good temperature as well, I didnt even need the sweater I brought in. They have great surround sound. And you can buy alcohol ;)

This theater is a very good place to go to watch a new movie that you may be interested in. They boast several screens including the all new X screen which gives you a 270 degree viewing experience. Its an ideal place for a movie date with your significant other, or to go solo, or even to go as a family. The refreshments are at a reasonable price for this type of venue and provide a wide range of items to select from to enjoy during your movie.

Nice theater, staff at candy counter was very friedly

This is not a super fancy theater. The chairs are the typical stadium seating--a bit cramped if youre tall-- but set steeply enough that everyone can see. You can buy a beer, which is nice, if a bit expensive.We usually go to the Regal theater in Lawrence, which has the fancy reclining seats and all, but wanted to see a special event that wasnt showing in there, so made the drive. Despite our being spoiled by the fancy theater in Lawrence, we found the Hollywood theater in Topeka to be quite comfortable. Its about as clean as any movie theater ever is and the lobby is small, but quite attractively designed. We would certainly go there again if it offered a show we couldnt see in our town.

Buying the tickets online and getting seated was hassle free. The concession line was a little slow but not bad, but the prices were definitely high. Over all the theater was clean and tidy, seating was good and picture and sound were spot on.

The experience is always great. I am a little put off by the prices especially when I see that some of the seats are torn up and there are knobs protruding through some of the screens, however, the screens are large, the sound is bangin and of course its the movies, so you watch what you want.Based on what we pay to see movies and eat, I think there is no excuse for things to be starting to get run down. Otherwise wonderful

The Screen surrounds you three ways. Its like you are in the picture. I loved it.

Its kinda ran down. Old worn out uncomfortable seats, carpets and such. The bathrooms have no room in them. Everyone was nice tho. Prepare to wait on concessions because they usually only have 3 lines available and the people are rather slow. I think lawrence regal is a lot better.

Its nice, not as good as b&b though because b&b has a bigger screen, infinite leg room, more comfortable seats, and better pop corn! So I like this theater, but b&b is better!

You can bring the kids, theaters are small, but they do have a decent rewards program. Higher prices for 3D versions. Just recently added reserved seating, which allows you to pick your seating before you arrive.

ENJOY going to this theater. Dont buy popcorn cause 30 cents worth of popcorn for $6.00,bottle of water when I can buy 2 cases, COME ON !!!!!!

They keep the theaters clean and have a good selection of alcohol. ScreenX is kinda funky.

ScreenX was a complete disaster as sound was horribly even painfully clipped and distorted. I had to stage a revolt in order to get managers to honor refunds.

My boyfriend and I saw endgame here the weekend after it came out. The people in the aisle next to us kept asking us to scoot down a seat because they had an ungodly amount of people in a group to go see a movie. Anyway, thats not the theaters fault. It was a great movie and the seats were comfortable enough I didnt have a sore butt by the end of the 3 hour movie. I wish I couldve put the butter on my popcorn while the tub was half full but otherwise it was great!

The service was great. The theater was clean. The atmosphere was relaxing and the movie was good.

The movie selection was just fine. The staff friendly. But prices have gotten outrageous. Not a fan of having to pick your seats in advance. had to go back to box office and change seating choice to accommodate what we wanted in the first place.

For those who have trouble with glare, visiting in the morning puts it on the box office windows for me. Dont assume theres no one in the box office out in the lobby until you get where you can be sure youre seeing whats there. Other than my not seeing there was someone selling tickets there so having to circle back or from the concession stand inside, it was a great visit.Prices are a little higher than in used to back in Omaha, but lack of competition is likely the reason for that. Luckily, the service suffer, so it was still worth the price of admission for the early, matinee showing.Friendly staff, clean theater, comfortable seats are all bonuses here. Felt slightly bad making the employee wait until credits were finished to start cleaning, but I wasnt there only one, and its always nice that they do wait until everyone has left rather than trying to get some of it before then.

This theater is decent. There are better ones in Kansas City, but for being in Topeka this one is convenient. Pricey drinks and snacks, but friendly and accommodating staff. The ticket taker guy on multiple occasions has given me a brief review of the movie I was seeing, and I particularly liked that.

Dont ever go on a premier week of you are expecting anything from the concessions. Out of popcorn and no-one working to make more. They had no organization and were running around like they didnt know what was going on. Management seemed to not have a plan to have just one person handle the constant making of popcorn and the replenishment of inventory during the busy time, which is almost constant on a premier week of a popular movie, since there are multiple screens showing the same movie at different times.As far as the rest of the experience, the restrooms were an eyesore needing to be cleaned and several seats in the screening we went were nasty and broken. At least the movie was good.

I’ve always enjoyed this theater. Many good times. One slight problem: Box office is not 100% indoors, so it can get cold in the winter waiting in line for tickets. They do offer mobile ticketing now, so not an issue these days. Other than that—never a complaint from me in the last 15 years.

Really nice facility, employees are friendly and helpful. Good selection of movies to watch and 3D is available. Four stars because concession prices are ridiculously high.

While wed all love lower priced concessions with more healthy choices for all Americans, and certainly lower priced bottled water, the theater was clean, the sound system pretty good, and I enjoyed purchasing my ticket online with Google Pay. I will be returning.

I really like this Theater, I wish they would bring back some old movies or late night movies such as concerts, or classic movies. Would be nice to see on bug screen. I think people would like that.

Went to go see zombie land 2,was a great movie and drink prices seem way more reasonable now.

Good theater, just needs some upgrades now that other theaters are going to recliner seats and other amenities. We actually often drive to Lawrences regal theater since it has reclining seats and from where I live its a 12 minute drive to this theater and only a 20 minute drive to Lawrences theater.

Went to see Zombieland Doubletap (which had only been in theaters 5 days) during a weekday early afternoon. It was easy to find parking and the ticket sales were quick.

Nice movie theater... Wish it had IMAX. Seen joker, nice seats... That is all.

They have 14 Screens. 10 of them shrink vertically when the movie starts. 1, 2, 13 & 14 expand Horizontally and are digitally projected. You want one of those if you have a choice.

Had a membership for unlimited movies all month. Every time we went there was some kids using their phones during the movies with the flash on and it was causing me seizures. I’d complain to staff they would just come in and stand in the theatre and the kid would stop then the staff would leave and it would start up again. Their solution is to refund my ticket but no apology no nothing. Just ridiculous

This is a good movie theater. It has huge viewing rooms for movies with stadium seats. Most of the time its quite and a good place for young children during the summer days.

Its a great place, but a little on the expensive side, but you dont have to buy the popcorn and candy or soda. Just buy a bottle of water. Thats what we do sometimes. The seats are comfortable. The only real complaint I have is the volume on the movie previews is WAY TO LOUD. I wear hearing aids and I have to take them out and some times cover my ears (thats how loud the previews are), but the movie volume is fine

I personally like that you just buy a ticket and go in and sit where you want first come first serve. Im not a fan of buying a ticket for a specific seat. Theres lots of parking and the customer service has always been great in my experience.

Always a great experience at these theaters. Friendly staff along with over priced concession stand items. Cant ask for a better mixture.

Screen x is like being in a box with surround and movie on all sides very immersive its great

Seems to hit and miss but if you ask for the customer service number they try not to give you any information. I had to go to the theater separate times before getting the information I needed. Not sure if its the box office or the ticket taker but 1 or the other is forgetting to give out special promotion codes or products. This theater crew will tell you the have the item and will give it to you once you buy the ticket to the movie but has been out of the special promotion the day before. If you just want a movie with comfortable seats then this is it but if you are into company of Regal and enjoy the bonus things they give customers then dont waste your time going or calling. I called because I had this issue more then once and only got a free popcorn and drink. Why not treat me to a movie after the disappointing experience I had? Really wish there was more theaters cause after this experience I rather just wait for the movies to go to Redbox. At least the hope for customers that enjoy souvenirs wont be crash by lack of caring employees.

Loved watching a movie with my son. He loved it and that was all that mattered.

The place had an old moldy smell to it. The staff were condescending. The food selection was definitely sub par and not at all what was advertised on the website. The chairs were highly uncomfortable and werent the new leather style again advertised on the website. The only thing I can say is for Topeka its ok. But if you transplant from somewhere else say Missouri, Colorado or any large town with a real theater lower your standards because the regal on 6th street is garbage even when comparing it to the cheap theater on wanamaker by the mall. If you want to go see a movie go to the cheap one when the movie goes there. The place on 6th is a waste of money. It isnt worth your time wait a couple months and go see what you want to see at the cheap theater right up the street.

The food service line does not move very quickly no matter the time or day you visit. The floors are generally sticky and often i find that my seat is dirty or grimy.That being said, it is easily accessible from the highway with plenty of parking. The pricing for tickets are reasonable. It is one of the few things to do here in town and i am grateful that they are here.

Always friendly, never to crowded on Sunday afternoons.

What can I say, went to see a movie. The movie was excellent, the theater was comfortable and seemed fairly clean. Of course the food was overpriced, did not get any. I would recommend the theater if you like to go see movies, I generally dont wanted to see this one particular movie in a theater. I well go back to this theater if theres a movie I want to see.

Good theater but back rows of studios smell bad because the air doesnt circulate well. Reserve seats for the letter I (eye) or before. Nothing J or higher.

Video games steal your money or dont work. Highschool kids behind the counter. Movies are good but customer service sucks!

This place was good, now its terrible. First off...we we forced to stand in line and the concession stand for our movie tickets instead of going to the box office out front like normal...so we were stuck standing behind people who were buying popcorn, drinks, candy, etc... and all we needed was tickets...it took 3 times as long to get our tickets. We had to pick our seats BEFORE we went in the theater. We get in to the theater and theres someone in our seats, we had to go back out and let someone know and they said it would be easiest to just get back in line and change our seats. REALLY...there was only 15-20 people in the theater and we had to go up and stand in line again, even though someone else was in our seats???? So they get to stay there and WE have to move???? THEN, after standing in line and missing the first 5 minsutes of the movie they guy at the counter says that he cant seem to pick seat number L19 so he said screw it, just sit where you want...but dont tell anybody i told you to do that. WHAT THE HECK IS THE POINT OF ALL OF THIS IF PEOPLE CAN SIT WHERE THEY WANT AND YOUR STAFF DOESNT HANDLE THOSE SITUATIONS WHERE PEOPLE ARE NOT SITTING WHERE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE and GOOD CUSTOMERS ARE FORCED TO WALK OUT OF THE THEATER, STAND IN LINE AND BE TOLD TO SIT WHEREVER!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL WE GO HERE!!!! You lost good customers tonight. CANT WAIT til the new Theater opens!!UPDATE: 9/23/19: I followed your link and it says the link doesnt work...even your suggestions to FIX the issue just lead to more problems! I included a photo to prove this. REGAL is terrible at customer service and i cant wait til this place go out of business so they can put something better here! All REGAL did was waste more of my time!

Good. Got there early. Got good seats. Just wish it wasnt so expensive to take the Family to a movie!

It is the best place to go there if it is not winter because the wind gets into the theater.

Great theater! A little on the pricey side, other than that it was a great atmosphere and super fun for the kids. A small gameing area with a few arcade games. Also great refreshments and an unlimited popcorn refill deal!! Again kinda pricey but I guess thats the trade off for good quality.

Good! And the pop corn is fresh.

It was good to get out and about and see a couple movies. We got there just before 1 on the 6th Street bus for How to train your dragon 3 and left after a 3p showing of Capt Marvel a little after 5p. Got home just after 6p.

I go here on a regular basis. The staff is great. The seats are comfortable, and the place is clean-ish (lol). I enjoy watching a movie at the theater, because Ive always felt that they are more enjoyable with a crowd. You come out feeling like you experienced it together, and when its something good, that shared experience, makes it great! Much better than just watching a movie. The best times in life, are spent in the company of others and this is a great place to experience that.

I think they staff the place with odd numbers of people. Most of the time those kids look like they just cant even. Its a movie theater. Its expensive. Spielberg wants us to cherish the experience for all time. Could make a person want to sneak in candy from Dollar General and their stock was just upgraded to Buy. Whats in your wallet?

Service is really in need of improvement. The restrooms were horrible. Told one of the workers and got a snarky response back. I am avoiding this place.

Theater has very nice staff. Films are always on prompt scheduling. Always very clean. Food is very over priced, but maybe this will change in the future after another theater joins Topeka.

Havent been in a while. The staff was just as friendly, professional, and courteous, as they always have been in the past. Always a pleasure going here. Of course well be back!

Saw Jurassic Fallen World, A must Equalizer 2 for sure. Anyway was good to be able to get tickets online and print them off and not have to worry about standing in line. Just walk to the ticket chap thats it. Enjoy the show.

Introduction was extremely loud! 3 small sodas, 2 candies, $30. Unbelievable. Did like ordering tickets online.

Its definitely a movie theatre.First show of the day and the floors were filthy. Shoes were sucked off my feet.Everyone knows concessions are over priced, but the quality here is absolute trash. I got some nachos for $7.99 . Just a dollop of stadium cheese and a lil bag of Totino chips.Thats expected. Sure. But $3.99 for standard size Welches fruit snacks is where I draw the line.This is why there is a underground railroad for snacks.Would have rated 1 but they do offer refills on drinks though. Just one refill but thats cool.

Fave place to watch new movies, I always do the mobile tickets so no more waiting in line. Service is always great and the leather chairs are comfy.

The prices were high but the service, and kindness of the employees made it more than worth it.

They made us pick our seat when we bought our tickets but people were sitting in our seats so we were forced to go get new seats. The staff went and asked the people to move to their assigned seats but they didnt want to and they started yelling at us for getting them in trouble...it created an issue and destroyed our night so we got a refund and left.

I come here once a week and I love all of the staff I have encountered here. Super kind and fun. Never had any issues.

I come to this movie theater all the time and my experience is always good except today. I’m watching black panther in movie theater room 11. Room 11 is out dated, the seats are old and dirty, the room was not clean. The floors are sticky and food all over. It’s gross. The room also smells. I’ve never had a problem with any of the other rooms. The other rooms seem to have been remodeled except this one. My experience today has been bad. I’m giving them 4 stars because the other times have been great except today. I will be avoiding theater 11 from now on.

The theater we were in didnt have the most updated seats, but otherwise clean and friendly.

It is a movie theatre that is very much of a 1990s era. It needs more updating, although it is working on it. I get a little disappointed that some films just never seem to make it here but they will have three set up for one that is popular and less challenging for those who like only to be entertained.

I love going to the movies when i go...they are affordable and they have a rewards program as well...they also serve beer for all you beer lovers...you would really enjoy and they have comfortable chairs as well to chill and watch your movie with a brew
