Art is subjective and an entire gallery shouldn’t be voted down just because one doesn’t agree with the art being displayed at any given time. This gallery presents a wide variety of artistic exhibits that should help the casual layman understand the vastness contained in the word “art.” If one has visited a galley only a single time and has an issue with the particular art on display in that single visit, one should review that artist - not the gallery itself.

Visited here in mid-February 2018. To me, art means paintings, sculptures, etc. Unfortunately, this one contains anything but. Theres two sections here: the smaller front room had a display about 80s pop culture, which consisted of a few 80s movie posters and a few video game cartridges. The larger room had a display about local African-American history (for example, the suit of Topekas first black mayor). Im not considering it a bad exhibit, but to me it seems more appropriate for a history museum, not an art gallery.This exhibit apparently runs through March 11th. Ill try it again after that; maybe then it will contain art!
