My parents used to take me to the museum, you may think I would hate it as a child, but I loved it. I suggest for young kids who like going on a child train ride and look at artifacts from the olden days. The only reason why I dont give it a 5 star is because its not in the best area in Tooele.

My kids loved it! And so did I. We toured everything they had open and I learned a lot. I climbed everywhere you were alloud too and took pictures untill my phone died. Im going to set up a private tour with the person behind the desk to see some more exibits. Im exited for it. I did not realize how many local mines there were.

This was a fun experience. However, it felt as though more organization and cataloging could have been done. More about the people working the railroad and history about them rather than so much about trains and the mining industry. I was hoping to find stuff about my grandpa there because he worked for the railroad in Tooele for so many years. Nothing. Not even much about other Tooele contributors to the railroad lines... Still, it was a good experience.

I came here for a wedding that used this museum as a venue. It was very nice. I love how hands on we could be with the trains on exhibit. My kids got to climb on and touch lots of train stuff and the grassy campus was very pleasant. Im going to come back and check it out again on a regular museum day.

The museum is a destination spot within Tooele. It is a great experience for kids to be able to see actual trains from a bygone era and experience some of the rich history that makes Tooele Valley unique.

We came here for a Girl Scout Journey in a Day event and all I can say is WOW! Ive passed this place so many times, but havent ever made it in and what a mistake that was. There is so much to see and learn about. Any time the girls went in to use the restrooms I had to pull them out because they were stop interested in the exhibits. The train is a must to go through! If your looking for something to do in Tooele definitely stop by youll be glad you did

I love trains so much, and this is an experience I wont ever forget! You really do get to climb around on the train and explore. You can go in the kaboose, check out the engine, and pretend youre in the Polar Express :)

The Tooele Valley Railroad Museum is one of the best small town railroad museums in the intermountain west. The centerpiece of the museum is Tooele Valley Railway Locomotive #11, a 2-8-0 engine built in 1910. All of the railroad equipment is in fair display condition. Encircling the grounds is a mini railway which runs on select weekends. The volunteer staff is friendly and knowledgeable. A must visit for Tooele locals and rail fans in the area.
