I just got my XP-28 irons and wedges in today, I am ecstatic over the quality of craftsmanship and quality and for what I paid...well worth the wait. I can wait to get out and play these clubs. My only suggestion is if there is a lag due to out of stock or back order please communicate to the buyer, other than that, stellar service and product, thank you a million times over for what yall do.

I would highly recommend Custom Golf Center if you are looking for customized clubs or grips/new shafts for your existing clubs. From the Chipper I bought to the new set of clubs my husband bought we are 100% satisfied and love the clubs. Thank you very much for taking the time to show me how to use my new club and also for the tips you provide both of us the day we picked up our items. We have already started telling our friends who to go see if they need new clubs or modifications to their existing clubs.

James is great. Very friendly, knowledgeable and stands behind what he sells. Been going to his shop for years and have yet to be disappointed. His prices are very reasonable which makes getting into golf affordable. My go to for re-gripping clubs and lie adjustments. Now that he has a practice bay, trying out new equipment is so convenient. My only tip is to call before you plan a visit to make sure he is available, he does have a life outside the shop.

James is top notch. He re-gripped my club set during my lunch break. He also took the time to measure my swing speed and point out some trouble areas in my swing. I played with the clubs two days later and they felt great. His cost was very reasonable. He kinda feels like an old friend and his shop is very approachable. Im new to this but felt right at home. Id certainly recommend him.

6 weeks I tried to get a return phone call about my club not being delivered, despite the fact that you said it was built and ready to go and that you were looking right at it. Six weeks, man! Technically eight weeks, but the first two were to be expected as ordinary lead time. I called once or twice a week for the first four weeks before stepping up to calling every day for a week. I finally tried calling 20 times a day for an entire week. To this day, youve never answered or returned a call. Then, finally I came home one day to see the club was delivered. Was it that hard to drive to the post office and drop it off? Would it have been so hard to answer one of the 100+ phone call attempts and just say that something had come up? Ridiculously pathetic. No excuses, yes its harsh and your pattern of this lack of service and follow up is why your company deserves this harshness.Customers, the clubs are good value, but dont custom order anything. Theres no telling when or if you will ever get it. However, if you need a putter or wedge, and are local, the clubs are good and priced well. Again, be warned, if you cant cash and carry the item, placing an order for future pickup or shipping exposes you to potential/probable headaches like mine and some of the other reviewers.

I bought a new set of Acer Hybrids (5-PW) and after two rounds I can say Im very pleased. The manufacturers always make claims that their latest version are easy to hit and correct all that is wrong with your game so I am always leery of such claims as if they were true we would all be playing on the tour. I am 63 and noticed that over the last two years I had lost 10 -15 yards on pretty well every iron in my bag, all the reviews I have read claim that hybrid irons add distance and height to your shots as well as being more forgiving on off center hits so I thought Id give it a try. The Acer Hybrids were the lowest priced ones I could find and Custom Golf Center offered the best price on them that I could find. I live in B.C. Canada so could not visit them in person to get fitted, but I used the online fit chart as well as calling and talking to James which was as close to custom as I was going to get.I can honestly say that these clubs are user friendly, just the look of them give you confidence and the weighting feels like it will help you swing through which it has done for me. I definitely get more height as well as claiming back the yardage I had lost, after the two rounds I have played I cant see it getting anything but better as I get more accustomed to these hybrid irons.I usually shoot 90 - 96 and would highly recommend these clubs to anyone looking for a set that will help them play with more confidence, even the off center hits did seem to give a better result than the Ping irons I had been using.Thanks James, there might be an order for a set of these for my wife coming in the near future.

I have been playing with 19 year old clone irons. I thought it was time to get new ones. James took the time to teach me exactly why my old clubs were hurting my game. Then he took time to fit me for a new set of 5-SW plus a hybrid.The first time on the range with my new irons was amazing. I have a decent swing but I had been mis-hitting a lot of shots with the old clubs. My new irons not only felt better but I am hitting solid shots MUCH more consistently.Having James fit me with the right shafts, the right weight and (very important) aligning the new shafts spines has made a big difference. If you are thinking about buying expensive name brand clubs, do yourself a favor and see or talk to James. I spent $300 and feel like I got a $1000 worth of confidence and better play.Steve B

I bought some golf clubs for my husband for Christmas and he absolutely loves them! I bought a set of Callaway clones for him online and the ordering process was very simple even for a non golfer like myself. I did have to call and ask a few questions about some of the options, and the person I spoke with was very helpful in making some recommendations. I was told on the phone that it would take up to 2 weeks for delivery, and after about a week they emailed me a tracking number and then they were here 3 days later - so about 10 days total. Greg has been playing with them for almost a year now and he likes them so much that he has been asking for a driver and some wedges for Christmas this year. I hope he doesnt read this review and spoil the surprise that I already ordered them! :)

Ive bought 2 sets of golf clubs from Custom Golf and I had 2 complete opposite reviews. The 1st time I placed an order was about 3 years ago. They, James was very helpful. They called me to discuss the measurements and loft and so on that I submitted. We went over things and confirmed everything. The order shipped out timely and I was and still am very happy with my purchase.My 2nd order was for my son and felt very confident this would be handled in the same way as my previous order. WRONG!!!!!! I specifically asked and noted on my order to give me a call to discuss the particulars before shipping. This did not happen. I called, sent emails, called some more and left messages to please give me a call but NOTHING!. The order did not ship as stated but about a month later and I never received a call. My son received his clubs at college and the #4 Iron is missing. I called my credit card company and had the charges reversed. A week or so later I noticed the charges were back on. During this time I have yet to receive a call from James or anyone else at Custom Golf center. James mail box is always full and nobody has contacted me via email or otherwise. Even with leaving multiple phone numbers to contact me on his pager has resulted in nothing!! The clubs? Yea they seem good but really!?!?!? No service, no contact period! This will be the last order I place with them nor will I suggest to any of my friends to go through them either as I have in the past.

I bought my driver 8yrs ago and I broke the shaft shortly after. Finally able to reconnect with James and the driver was covered in their warranty.After the initial conversation, I realized Ive been using the wrong irons in general. Just bought a new set and I cant wait to receive them and test them out.Personally, I find the negative reviews about this company quite unreasonable and unfair.In my experience, Ive had nothing but positive result....which is why Ive returned.Thanks again!!!

Ive been away from golf for over 10 years and gave my Ping clubs to me son. Im getting ready to retire and really miss golf so I went into Custom Golf and had a great conversation with James about my Golf game. Hes extremely knowledgable and spent over an hour evaluating my swing and matching the various club head, grips and shaft combinations. I now have a beautiful set of Callaway clones. During my evaluation James recommended an oversize grip which I didnt have on my factory built Pings. There isnt a shaft, grip and head combination that he cant get to fit anyones game.I love my complete new set of Callaways. Im taking lessons to better understand the game so my clubs will preform better.I can and would strongly recommend James and Custom Golf Center as there is no way the average golfer can tell the difference between his clubs and the name brands that the pros play.

Walked in wanted to get a putter, they had everything I wanted in stock, measured for the correct length gave me multiple options on grips. They put everything together while I waited and I walked out with everything I wanted in less than 30 min.
