This festival is huge! Hundreds of high quality vendors. We are working our way through and starting to buy things though we had to take a break to try some of the food and beer vendors. We ate from the fried bread and crepe trucks, both very good. Lots of people but not overwhelmingly so. There is even live music.
Very beautiful and interesting place. We saw a concert by graduating students of ASU. Not only can you hear musical performances and other special events, there is always a gallery of interesting art. We saw a display from 1800 costumes for theater, opera, etc. The building itelf is beautiful and has an infinity pool and various artistic art pieces throughout the building. Outside it is beside the new bridge going across Tempe Town Lake
This is always a nice event to attend. Well run, lots of vendors and I always love seeing the childrens art exhibit.
My home is decorated with beautiful pieces of art from Tempe Art Festival. It’s the best. I used to plan my vacations around it. Spring & winter.
Support artists! This is such a great way to get affordable original art for your home, and for gifts for other people. The festival grows every year too.
Over the past several years those curating the festival have successfully edited the scope and variety of artists and craftsmen. To this end the event has become more satisfying and less repetitive. This year I skipped Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I began my Christmas shopping at the festival with a focus on quality vs. quantity. A very successful outing.Aside from the shopping the location is great. Mill Avenue and the surrounding area lend a welcoming vibe and attract an interesting cross section of people. We take the light rail, this eliminates the hassle of parking and adds to the experience. It also drops you right at the festival entrance. Great way to walk around, enjoy the beautiful weather and absorb the ambiance.A event worth your while.
A great place to find unique gifts. Lots of food and entertainment
This is an amazing festival! There are hundreds of vendors from fine art to pottery, craft items and food. They also offer live music and a variety of street performers. The whole area is decked out for the holidays with lights, trees and other decorations. A fun and free experience.
This was our first visit as new residents in the Phoenix Metro area and we will definitely be back!
Great place to go! A lot of vendors and food.
Nice festival lots of things to buy and get ideas
The tempe festival of the arts is a lot of fun checking out all the neet stuff and art work.
We go to the Tempe Festival every spring and fall. Love seeing all the art, things on display for purchase There are always the food trucks and 50 ways to make country lemonade and of course kettle corn! Love these two days.
Get there early for the closest parking. Parking is $10 for the day. Easy to access each part of the festival the way it is set-up. Food trucks and food court are in separate area. Booths are conveniently located up and down the street with seveal on side streets.
Fun, but the same stuff every art festival offers.
Nothing new, but always a fun outing for a girls only day. Need more shade in the wine area. Maybe just a large tent with vendors on the perimeter? Also, a no dog policy. Im a dog lover which is why I say leave your animal at home for their sake. This isnt a grassy park, its hot pavement. That is animal cruelty my friends!
I try to come to the arts festival every single year. It’s always so much fun and I never miss it.
Enjoy this every year so much to see
Always a good time. Love supporting local artist/vendors. Its an all day event. Something for everyone.
Weve been to the Arts Festival a few times. This time, we were looking for a specific vendor. After going past all of the booths, we couldnt locate the one wed come to see. The information booth was manned by well-meaning people, but they were a little clueless. The best thing they did was allow us a look at their list of vendors. We found what we were looking for and left with lighter pockets.
Lots of unique artworks and items. Wide variety of foods and snacks. Good entertainment and perforers.
Tempe Festival of the Arts takes place twice a year: During the Spring and during the fall. I go to at least one festival of the year, usually fall. It has a lot of offerings, so I try to find one or two xmas presents. The food is good and it has a wine/beer garden. I really enjoy it, but so does everyone else in the Valley. It gets pretty congested with bodies, dogs and strollers. Definitely try to attend on Friday rather than the weekend. I gave the festival 4 stars only because most of the merchandise is pricey. Its still worth the visit.
One of our best art festivals in the state of Arizona. Large variety of artists. Something for everybody to enjoy. Easy to maneuver and well-managed event.
We love the Art Festival. Lots of great artwork to peruse as well as food trucks and other fun things.Lot of great shops and restaurants as well.
Really fun festival! so much beautiful art! and the local business people were so nice! I definitely want to visit it again!
The Tempe Festival of the Arts was the largest collection of arts and crafts that I have ever seen. It was well-organized, clean, and beautifully-situated. A delightful, inspiring way to spend the day.
Must go! Great music & art! Free. Just listened to guitar & singer. Mikek Lander from Sugar Thieves band. Excellent blues music.
I work this event, but every year I see beautiful and gorgeous handmade things. There are a lot of different things to see and eat, and since it encompasses a good portion of Mill Ave, you also have all the bars and restaurants that are there everyday.Something for everyone. :)
Had a great time walking around all the booths. Great fun and since it was FREE (except parking) I was able to spend a little!
Doggie doors and stuff from China, isnt Art last time I checked anywayWouldnt it be nice to see the TruthIn ArtIn ArtistsReturning to Mill AveTo TempeWhere Artists were celebratedOnce upon a time~Peace
The Tempe Festival of the Arts of which I have been an integral part from 1988 to 2004 is still the best arts festival in Arizona and is ranked one of the best in the nation.
Why would anyone care that the festival is woman led??? Thats not going to make me want to come more.
Great art, quirky crafts, inventive food, beer and wine gardens plus free music, all in the great Arizona outdoors!
I about so many things here over the many years. Its the place to find things that are handmade that youve never seen anywhere else. I even have my belts purchased here and many random clothes items. Not just paintings Ive bought or statues made of metal and other weird but fun and cool unique items
Didnt know it was going on when we booked our trip. Was a pleasant surprise. Hope to make it back soon
The Tempe Festival of the Arts is held twice a year in the Mill Avenue District. Hundreds of booths and exhibits, live music performances along with a Festival Jazz Stage, street performers, vendors and so much more. Its one of the best arts festivals in the country.Of course the AZ Wine Festival and the return of The Art of Beer are two things that add even more fun to the festival. It is a family friendly event that features a “Kids Innovation Station” where kids can participate in children’s interactive entertainment and education fun such as painting, hat making and other fun stuff.Check it out, its always a good time and you can always find some really cool stuff.
I actually came for a specific artist. What a beautiful city. This time of year spring training is taking place and so there were also a lot of baseball activity here. What more can you ask for? Beautiful town, nice venue & great weather!
Thought it was one of the better shows in years! Didnt plan on buying anything, went home with 2 items!
My family and I have been attending the art festival for about 30 years now and it never seems to get old. The artists are amazing, and there are one-of-a-kind pieces you simply cannot get anywhere else. The ambiance and hippy feeling couldnt be any better. Great for Christmas shopping too!
Always a great time. Amazing artists year after year.
Excellant Art fair many unique items many very talented artist. NOT A CRAFYS FAIR
Great artists from California. Nice value.
I go every time we have the arts festival. Its full of local and less local artists and I especially enjoy the food and soaps area. Its full of creativity and theres something for everyone!
414 is a great place to take a break. Fantastic staff
Havent been here in a few years, so was pleasantly surprised to see how much bigger is has gotten. It took us close to 3 hours to see it all and have a quick lunch. There were so many great artists and Mill Ave has a great amount of restaurants that finding a place to eat was easy
Always the best art festival, people are friendly, food is yummy. Lots of art, anything you can think of and amazing creations you can only find here. Wonderful place to go
Love it go twice a year. Spring and fall.
They close almost all the streets around Mill Ave. For this festival. It is HUGE! A ton of art and create thing people make. A ton of fun walking around people watching. The Centerpoint at Mill turns into a giant beer garden and wine tasting area. So once your done checking out art go there or any other popular bar along the route.
Amazing collection of fine artists in one location
This art show use to be one of the top 10 art shows in the United States when Maguire ran it. Not now. Some great art but lots of just okay stuff. Some Mexican imports. Been around since 1971 so has a following. Entertainment over powers the artist.
This was so much fun! There were so many vendors and stuff to see and enjoy. The really odd part was that they let home remodeling and screen door companies in as well...seemed out of place for an art show.
Always have a great time visiting this fair perfect weather lots of great art.
Love this bi yearly event! So many great things to see and buy!
Great to hear our old friend Walt Richardson on Saturday morning. We go every year and always enjoy ourselves and find new things
It was fun to see all of the art for sale and there were a ton of food trucks
If you like to walk youll love this! The Festival offers not only really nice Arts and crafts but a good variety of places to stop in for food and drinks
Lots of different vendors, just a fun day with my sister!
Found what I wanted good selection
This Festival is coming up on 50yrs! It has to be good! Great tradition.
Fun place to go and they have a lot of interesting things
So many great local vendors, a lot to look at and hard to decide what to take home but mill ave was great and surrounded by lots of food options and the beautiful university! Going back next year for sure
Good artwork, the chalk art in the street was amazing. Loved the wine tasting! Youll also have carnival food to eat.
Fantastic. So many exhibits. Loved looking at stores, bars and restaurants throughout the area as I was walking through festival.
I go at least once a year and I always enjoy it.
Excellent event ..clean and great weather!!
Fun we walked for hours and the was tons to see.
Its not going on yet. The 1st week of December.
So many artists so many beautiful finds
Bought lots of stuff from locals :) kids had a blast :)
Very fun place to go and check out local artists and do some people watching at the same time! Check out the HOT COLLEGE WOMEN, while in BEAUTIFUL DOWNTOWN TEMPE, Az
Fun time! So many awesome vendors! Oh and wine tasting!
The weather was perfect and this is always a great event to get out and help support not only local artists but those that come from out of state as well. Always well organized and a great way to spend and afternoon.
Not really anything African.. even though the website said there have African things on display.
By far one of the best and longest running arts festival around even in the Phoenix area where there are many choices.
Best time Ever plenty of food plenty of drinks plenty of music good music and good people protecting us while we enjoy great music and a good time
Beautiful weather, great choices, wonderful festival.
Great place to hang out and waste some time.
If it werent so crowded, this would be an amazing event. The art is great, getting to meet and chat with the artists is wonderful, however, the amount of people there cuts everything down including the time you can spend chatting with artists.
Great arts festival.
Nice selection of current art and style. Nice layout, keeps local business involved. Enjoyed and will return next year.
Loved it. Go every year
So much to do and see! Always an awesome event!!
Way bigger than I imagined when I saw Mill Ave closed off! Mill and all of the side streets are filled with art, food, and drink!
This is a great street fair - always fun to go in December to find Christmas gifts.
This is a juried event so you can see some unique and beautiful art
Extremely over priced!! Geeze. Talk about marketing to the one percent.
Some talented ass people all up and down this place.
Ive been going for many years. It seems to be the same thing each year, overpriced crafts.
This years spring festival was the best in recent years.
Probably some of the best American hand made Art & Craft youll find anywhere!
Great festival happening twice a year. Difficult to park, but worth the trip.
Fun time had by all of us we will go again
Not a lot of fine art, but lots of stuff, people and some good food and drink
Awesome. Something for everyone.
