By FAR the best winery in Temecula. Their wine from Hungary is my favorite as it is extremely fruitful and robust. They have this hilltop seating area that overlooks the valley and mountain top while you can taste wine.
Bella VistaFirst winery in Temecula, established in 1968Evelyn was so nice. They just opened last Saturday, they are so excited to be open again. They have a lot of ribbons forPetit Shira, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Nestled on the hill is a beautiful area for wedding, picnic or just taking in the scenery.I WOULD RECOMMEND.
Great varieties, delicious organic wines, and a lovely family run winery. Definitely worth stopping by whenever you pass through Temecula! Theres a scenic outdoor picnic area to share a glass or a bottle since right now tastings are not happening.Discovered this spot last year on the way back from the mountains to San Diego, and am always sure to stop by to grab a bottle. Check them out!
Packed up our shipment and left. Was great to see the owners but with covid still here was a short stay.
The owner was very friendly and made me feel welcome! The chardonnay I purchased is sure to be something memorable!
Great service and great wines! I love this place!
Wonderful place to enjoy a delicious wine, a good company, and unforgettable sunset. Over all, nice place to enjoy even been alone.
Dated and tacky decor. Everyone who works there looks like they hate their life. No atmosphere. Wine was below average. Would never recommend anyone to come here.
Good service. If you want to get away from all the crowds this will definitely be your spot. Great music!
Diana was great, the goose juice was really good too.
Do Not Miss!!! Dawn is amazing! Not a bad vintage on the list. Make it a must taste on your list!
I have been coming to Bella Vista for the last 10 years, know the owners and their wines. Excellent service as well as their wines. The person that commented on the poor wines and service most not know about wines or was too drunk to tell the difference. The owners and the staff are very pleasant and I have never seen anyone leave disappointed. The lake area and the huts are so calmly, you may want to spend some time there and enjoy your favorite wine.
Loved this winery very friendly staff and knowledgeable I highly recommend visiting. We had a great experience
Decent wine. Very dated decor. Id stop once to see if you like their wines but until the place is modernized, it isnt really worth it for the experience of wine country.
Excellent experience!!! Great wines!! Ambiance, clean and friendly
Members of the wine club for over 3 years. You wont find properly aged wines at any nearby winery (unless Its an expensive library wine) except this one. Most of the nearby wineries have wines around 1-2 years old for reds. Way too young to be able to judge future quality. Would rather buy a wine we can drink now. We keep trying other wineries in Temecula but always conclude this one is the best quality for price.
We love this winery for its personal touch and our favorite ever champagne! I definitely recommend it! The owners are a wonderful Hungarian couple and the Hungarian sausage with their Road Kill Red....amazing! I recommend this for a relaxed and friendly experience with very good wines.
Great views. Great wine. Off the beaten path.
Rotten. Wines are too old and have turned acidic, not good. They sell them anyway. Great for people who dont know anything about wine. Even Carlo Rossi and Gallo are better.
Excellent, rustic and beautiful. The champagne delicious. Love the owners
I didnt care for the wine. Tasted like Night Train! The white Merlot and champagne were good. My bucket list is to try every winery in Temecula. I got here about 425 and the sign said closed even though the online says 5. I decided to call and the owner said oh are you here, you can come in. She then explained to me that they close early so they can clean and be out by 5.
This place was fun, and we got to meet the owner (Imrie) who personalized the experience for us. The lady pouring for us (Jean) was knowledgeable and friendly. My wife & brother were crazy over the White Cabernet with its cherry pie leanings). Although I was not crazy about all their wines, I at least got an appreciation for what they did & how they did it. Their surroundings arent as scenic or glitzy as that of some of the others but as the first winery in Temecula, you have to give them their due
Love it there! Best wines! Owners are wonderful! Homey feeling!
Fun! Kitchy! Graziella was an amazing wine pourer.
The owners are extremely friendly and the wine was good. Beautiful grounds.
Wonderful evening with the wine club... drop by and check it out sometime and join the club!
Didnt buy wine here. Bought some down the road. Was in SD on business and had time to head up here and thought to stop by the first winery in Temecula. I asked about the petit sirah, and after telling me I was in the wrong winery, the salesperson at the counter showed no interest in describing the wines I asked about other than that they had them. I kept driving.
Friendly knowledgeable staff. We always enjoy tastings here.
These wines are skunked. The bouquet smells awful, like moldy dirt. This is my 4th trip to Temecula and its the only really bad experience Ive had. Dont understand why theyre still in business.
Time to update both facility and wines. The tasting room feels like a bowling alley and the wines are far too old. A lot of maderized flavors and no fruit, what they offer is not typically expected of California wines.
Beatiful setting, super romantic. Food is great as well
Interesting and older facility. We were served a number of older vintages, even and particularly in the whites. Unfortunately, whites dont necessarily benefit from long aging and we thought the wines were generally marred by excessive aging. All were sort of pruney, but not with the good overtones in some of the German or cold oriented wines. No wines that we wanted to buy. Worst of all, my wife and I split a tasting but they charged us for two tastings. Wont ever be going back there!
Not to bad of a place... 1st place I stopped....
The wine tasting rock n roll party with Basement41 yesterday was a blast...cant wait for the next one!!
We thought the proprietors were charming and enjoyed the wine. We will be back.
This is like the oldest winery in the Temecula Valley and a real cool place to visit. It feels folksy and local which is really awesome given the castles that have been built along Rancho California and De Portola in the last several years that really feel overly corporate and charge pretty crazy prices. Their Viognier is always awesome year after year and they have a champagne that is mighty nice too.
Outstanding service!!
