I will be forever grateful of this bar. Especially with what happened Friday January 10. For those who don’t know the incident involved a female getting something in her drink and as soon as she noticed it she alerted the management and the guards. Cameras were then checked and the proper action was taken. The female was given a chance to take medical care but refused herself and was self treated by the bar. There is a lot of backlash that happened with the male being “wrongly accused” but by no means was he. There is proof and is being handled on the proper level. Don’t let this scare anyone away from the bar. I love this place and it’s a great time. Security here is helpful in so many ways and I will forever be grateful of them. Keep on rocking stamp.
Great staff, great food, and a ton of fun we go at least twice a week. Task trained service animals are accommodated, I do get asked a lot about bringing emotional support animals, sadly they have no public access rights which means they can’t go into the bar (or any store, restaurant, any place that allows general public and not animals). Bar staff and patrons know service animals and the laws very well, please don’t try to lie and say it’s a service animal there’s very good tell signs of actual service animals. Plus I have one there with me, so does other handlers for serious medical issues, bringing in a dog that isn’t task trained nor trained at all can be very distracting to those service animals. Also if you see this review and see us in with service animals don’t just pet without permission, always ask first. You won’t regret coming here it’s bunches of fun :)
If you want a drink of water, expect to pay $3 dollars unless you are blonde. I bought several shots and beer and the bartender charged me $3 for a bottle of water while giving free cups of water in white styrofoam cups to the rest of my blonde friends. I have never felt so I insulted in my life. Racism is still alive.
Just moved here. My friend came to visit from Orange County. She loves Country music, so we went. Had to pay 10 bucks to get in. Stayed for about a half hour. Finally asked the bartender if what we were watching on the dance floor was still lessons or everybody was doing their own thing. Was told lessons were over. It was the most bizarre experience. They were all doing their ‘mechanical’ dances, no facial expressions, no ‘free-style’ dancing. We didn’t dare go out on the dance floor since we don’t know any of those taught dance moves and we would have looked majorly out of place. Atmosphere was flat. Music was flat. A few show-offs, stomping their boots in the front of the dance floor. We decided to leave and asked politely if there was any way we could get our money back. The guy in the front was really nice, but he directed us to the manager Tracy. She was rude, would barely look at us, kept counting her cash, and said ‘you used the establishment. If you hadn’t had drinks, we would refund you the money.’I bet if we hadn’t had drinks, she would have used the excuse ‘if you had bought something to drink, we would refund you the money.’They won’t see my face again. Waste of money and time. They don’t even deserve ONE star. Off to the Old Town Blues Club we went and had a great time.
Been going for years and it’s the best! Love the consistent dances. Wish they would play more country music though and not rap etc.
Beware adults! This is NOT a country bar. This is the bar you hate and can’t understand why people go there. Went there for a full hour and there were zero county songs. Zero. Ordered some garbage food and regrettably ate it. No redeeming qualities. Omg and we paid cover. Nightmare.
Tried Monday for the first time. Terrible lights are too bright flashing in everyones eyes. Trying to watch the dancers is tough with those awful lights. Music too loud as well. Cant they direct the lights somewhere else like upward??Wish there was more country music. The old cowboy up dance was more fun than the unknown one I saw tonight...!!
DJ: Why are you the way that you are? Honestly, every time I try to do something fun or exciting at the Temecula Stampede you make it not that way. I hate so much about the things that you choose to be.
My boy got denied drinks cause he was a little drunk which is strange cause it’s a bar but mike and dalton were awesome, understanding, great atmosphere and great music, would definitely recommend this bar. Mike and dalton deserve pay raises for sure. Pro military!
I dont know what happened to the DJ. Use to play all the country songs I know and love and now he cant even get through one song before it cuts out and he has to try again! #outwiththenewinwiththeold
THE Temecula Stampede once sat upon its throne as the top country bar in the Tri-County region. The recent Master of Ceremonies, however, functions as the most prevalent justification for the given rating of 2 out of 5 stars. One would reasonably expect a bar dawning the title of Stampede to delight in an ambiance of Western culture, primarily in the musical expression of the Country genre. The latest DJ, however, falls significantly short of the unwritten, but known, standard of seasoned & respected Country music enthusiasts. The Temecula Stampede now sits upon a throne of lies and deceit, drawing in its unknowing patrons to an unforeseen disappointment of pop, grunge, and electronic rubbish under the guise of wholesome, entertaining Country music. Once a pinnacle of hope and prosperity in the fallen and future failed State of California, the Temecula Stampede has Yeed its last Haw.F California, God bless Texas.
They really need a new DJ, when youre playing the same exact music every weekend and its old hip hop its a hard pass. Need to get more with the times and play some GOOD country music! Geez. Super disappointing. Place has a lot of potential if they would listen to their customers and by the looks of the other reviews, they are not.
Want to have fun? Beautifully ladies, great. Music! Huge dance floor
They call them selves a country bar but indubitably they are not any more ! I was here for two hours yesterday and heard a total of 8 country songs . Then later I come to find out the do uses a suggestion board? Djs come in with a prepared set normally am I wrong ? I will not be back as long as it is this dj . I drive 30 minutes for COUNTRY MUSIC NOT EVERYONES STUPID SUGGESTIONS
Music isnt even country any more, being there makes me think im in a t a club in pb. What happend to the good ole country songs eveyone knows?
The workers at the door are flat out rude who hate their jobs. I was there jan 30th 2020 and the two guys at the door kept talking in a rude, aggressive way towards me. I felt like i wasnt welcomed there at all. I ened up paying the $10 to get in but when i left to meet a friend for 20 mins outside, i wasnt allowed back in because my friend had a drink in her hand. This was completely unrelated to me and i never even touched her drink but somehow i wasnt allowed to come in. I felt that the door boys were trying to find an excuse to prevent me from returning. I ened up leaving that night and will never go back. Stampede used to be good once upon a time but has since turned upside down. I will never got back!
Fantastic place to dance have some drinks and a great atmosphere
It says they close at 2am and I came at 12:47... saw a handful of people in there and they had the audacity to tell me they were closed. Yes . Closed. With people inside and people chillin outside. Yes theyre closed with people aka customers still inside.
We arrived at 12:15pm on a Thursday and the door guy said he’s not letting anyone else in, that they’re closing. Funny thing is, their sign says open till 2 am. Well, it was my first time trying to visit it, and my last time as well. Way to go. Maybe honor your hours. Doesn’t matter if it’s last call, some people just want to dance.
Great dance floor but no enforcement of dance floor etiquette. Even though the floor has rails for line and free style dancing in center, people dance in outer circle which blocks all two stepping. Other clubs announce and enforce dance etiquette for the enjoyment of all.
If you enjoy watching people swing on the barrier bars like monkeys, this place is for you!!! The DJ is all over the board with his song mix from 2006. However, the people seem to be eating it up! Ever watched the dance scene from the movie Antz? Yes, thats what this place looks like. They literally line dance to every song. Watermelons crawl. Line dance. (good). Britney spears. Line dance. (weird) fire alarm? Theyd probably like dance to that, too. No need to worry about the dress code listed on the website. Its not enforced. Definitely wear your house shoes out. You wont be alone. The base is out, so when the dj drops the beat and you dont hear it, your hearing is fine. Its the equipment. The BO and muggy atmosphere starts at 10, so dont be late. Seriously, get there way before that. It gets gross. Two stars because the bartender was good and the people watching is on point!
Why the heck are you still playing the EXACT SAME MUSIC FROM 7 YEARS AGO. Get a new Dj or update his music list. I asked him to play a top 40 hit from last year said no I dont have it put it on the paper and maybe Ill play it. I like this place for the dance floor. Thats about it.
My family owns it amazing place
Free style lasted wayyyyyyyy too long!
I have them my Military ID, which can be hard to read, so I gave them my state ID, which is a Georgia license, and either they’re not professional enough to tell whether an ID is fake or not, or they’re dumb to read. First time he ask if my military says 1996, then see’s that Georgia ID says the exact birthdate that he just asked me, and still tells me he can’t let me in due to my IDs?! I live 22 years of my life ready to legally hit the bars and I get denied by someone who lacks enough education to looks and a REAL ID and tell that it’s not fake?! Most unbelievable encounter I’ve ever had, zero stars, worse employees of any place I’ve ever been.
I love the place..i just feel its more younger adults than anything when i was there on Thurs.. at times it felt like a high school dance floor..with some immature kids playing around...but over all if you know the dances youll be able to focus on dancing
Good place to bring friends. Awesome spot to have a different and fun night out. They also have a great burlesque show!
Very slow and quiet music and had to pay for lessons
My friends and I went Sat. Night, all dancing was line and thats all, full of 18 to 25 yr olds. My friend in her late thirties hated it and Im older & its great for youngsters, but not anyone over 30. We played pool and that was fun. We are used to mixed music and a lot of hip hop, we love to dance. We are a fun group but this is not for us. If your used to bars and clubs stay away. Bartenders made weak weak drinks, but nothing good about this place for us except we 3 ate and FOOD IS FABULOUS &SO ARE FOOD PRICES. Nice people work there, really friendly bartenders. Looking for a fun place for us in town, if we can find one.
This place is trash, bouncers always give military personnel a hard time. 2/10 would not recommend save your money
Great place to come for a good time. Great Country Music and friendly people. Usually go on Saturday nights. Happy Hour is till 7 with great prices on drinks. They even have a bull to ride if you are up for it.
My favorite Thursday night spot to dance. Monday and Friday nights they have free dance lessons from 6 to 8pm. The crowd is very upbeat. The bar has good drinks and the food station has some yummy options. Just an all around fun place to be.
I shoot pool here for the APA Pool League. They have good food and great service. They are a great Country Bar with a mechanical Bull for those interested in trying their luck as well as Line Dancing Lessons.
The Ol Stampede...! As a young Marine I went there in 2003 and had a great time. Went back as an... older Marine with my wife and some friends in 2014 and still had a great time! Good Fun and dancing!
Have never been to such a place in my life. Its not my scene but everyone was friendly. Some local taught my date and I how to two step. Place is huge. Im sure it gets busy on the weekends.
The people there were very critical and rude when I was dancing a different way than they were dancing. They told me we had to go to a very small corner in the back of the room if I wanted to dance differently than other people there. I was very excited to come in the beginning of the night but found it very rude and got me very frustrating. For those who cannot dance, this rule would keep them from learning. I would not recommend this to people who are either do not know how to dance or those who are not very good at Western swing. Absolutely awful service. I would not recommend at all.
The stampede is just awesome. I usually go to the branding iron but it the stampede was closer I would always go there. So much more lively and its a lot bigger.
This is where my sisters and I have gone a few times to hang out and reconnect. Each time weve gone ... its been a blast, the people are always nice, and its well mixed with couples line dancing and single line dancing. If you love western/country this is the place. Always play the good songs too ...its mostly country (obviously) but not only country music. Love it all!!!
It has a southern dance hall saloon feel. Ive never had a bad time there. bartenders are on point with their drinks. :) something for everyone.
A fun place
Went here last night for my girlfriends birthday and it was the worst experience ever. The bar was full of a bunch of 18-year-olds and everybody was dancing like it was a strip club instead of a country bar. Drinks were too expensive and a $12 cover charge, really? No live music and a bunch of inappropriate sexual gestures on the dance floor between same-sex couples to top it off. I will definitely never go back.
Meh! It’s crowded but fun if you have enough alcohol.
It was a cool fun place to mingle and ride the bull.
Great time there. Great music, lots of dancing, good food.
Love this place. Its always my first choice for dancing. Loyal to this bar for 8 years.
Fun time crowd can trend a little young but thats expected at 18 to get in 21 to drink location
Girl to guy ratio is great. Good for single men. Lots of boots, though.
Poor Service! Hands down the worst service I have ever experienced. If I could give negative stars I would.
I love this place, great people, DJ, and bartenders. I go nearly every weekend and it is ALWAYS a good time. So much better than better than Brandin Iron in San Bernardino. Giant dance floor and friendly humans.
Great place but I wish it was not 18 and up.
Ive been going there off and on for quite some time great little place I think I might be getting a little too old for it though everybody has xs on their hands LOL
Great atmosphere friendly staff and good prices, only draw back is alot of wide open space
Awesome place. Great music. Young crowd
This is a meet place to visit and has some fun shopping.
A lot fun and a lot of nice people to hang out and dance with. I had a great time.
A great place to have fun, be with friends, meet new people, and get a work. The bartenders are great and love it when you give them new drink ideas.
Super fun place. We come every Monday.
Went here with friends, went here with wife.. worst experience of my life being born and raised as a hard working cowboy from the mountain country. Ive never felt more out of place. They claim they are a country bar but they are more like a soft core strip club. No class with their non-dress code attitude and allowing marines to dress practically naked with shirts torn up the side. Id rather go across the street to the hip hop club where the girls actually wear more clothing. Its 18+ which makes it like a baby sitting club having to watch them find out if they are gay or not dancing to line dances that would make a drag queen look straight! Good luck to those that end up wasting money to get in.
Good food, great drinks and service
It was good alot of good kids.
Line dancing, drinks, and a good time.
Fun and entertaining people are really nice.
Great dancing atmosphere and spacious too
I hope you like marines
The guy at the front desk took my Id so I could go get some cash to pay and my friend paid for me and when I went to go get my Id they said they had no proof that I paid to get in and kicked me out,we didnt even receive a receipt or anything.
Do not go here!!!! They will acuse you of washing off your X and kick you out for their mistake. I would give 0 stars if I could. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I just love the dancing.
Trash
Fantastic
90% western music. Something new to try if your up for it.
Heaven!
Need better music
The staff is nice enough but as far as clientele its basically douchebag central every time.
Loud, music, dancing, drinks, FUN!
My friend and I accidentally ended up here. I hated country music and everything. Now Im hooked on this place! I go every weekend and its now my favorite place to be.
Lovely bartenders!
It is fun there
Just because I like Steven, give that man a raise
Great bar and dancing
I go there to play pool.
Always fun, but way to many minors.
Worth every minute
Nope
