Awesome forest and the trail. The road to get there is narrow so be careful. Would not risk driving there in the snow.
Loved it and the kids had fun in the snow. Will come back during the week as there were lots of people. Roads are kind of tight, especially when passing others, but worth the drive. Got cell service the whole time up there but did drop to 2/5 bars at times. Cant wait to come back during warmer weather.
Great camping, nice campsites with tree cover. Great hiking, peaceful being so high up in the mountains. Next time I might do Woodys Peak. Tallest in the range, the barrier between the San Joaquin and Los Angeles basin. The scent of old growth pine forest is the best.
Really nice trail, it gets pretty steep towards the summit of one of the trails. Be careful coming back from the summit, getting lost is very easy.
I love the hiking trails and wild life. Great place to relax and recharge.
We love Mountain Park! Brought the grandkids to see the view from the big rock. Some jokers had to paint graffiti on some of the rocks but the view is awesome and never disappoints. Cooler on the mountain in the hot summer and never super crowded. Bathrooms available for the littles. :)
I just love the wild nature is safe and great for family gathering
Its always a beautiful place to Camp or just make a day trip
I was on a hiking trail, after the first 1/10 of a mile I didnt see any more signs on the trail. Was a little disappointed the trail wasnt more clearly marked with so many forks on the trail.
Great place to escape the valley Heat. Secluded quiet ( usually) . Better during the week then on the weekends.stuart tha campground ranger is great too.
Great campground with nice hiking trails. Campsites are spaced well apart with a lot of tree cover. Not too busy.
Good hike on Tehatchapi Mountain Trail with mixed shade and sun, occasional panoramic views, lots of incline, some areas not well marked or maintained, private property sign near the peak that prevents reaching the peak (see Google Maps screenshot). No real parking at trail head, just side of road parking. Hike itself very enjoyable nonetheless. Beautiful views of Tehatchapi and the surrounding countryside.
Beautiful and secluded from the populations, but not too far from the stores.
So much fun! Oh, it was fantastic! The kids loved the snow and all the deer we saw. Definitely coming back!!
Lots of parking good for campers
Loved it, didnt expect the snow. Was more fun for my babies.
Nice local place to go hike and/or camp
Driving up to Mountain Park is beautiful right now. The trees are turning their fall colors absolutely gorgeous!!
Love this place!
Grat place to camp
I love this place! We go every year and enjoy of the nature.
Its a really nice place
Very Beautiful land!
This place was great!I might have enjoyed the drive threw as much as I enjoyed the hike itself. So much green, Nature is great.
I really like this place for sledding and various snow activities. When its not snowing, it has really good hiking!
Nice park, good camp sites, and great views from the trial. Seems fairly well maintained despite people trying to ruin it with broken glass and trash at the sites. It appears the park cleans it up though. Only gripe is the camp sites are kind of close together also BRING WATER AND FIRE WOOD
Close to town, but still secluded enough to escape from life. We trailer camped which was nice, but our trent dwelling friends couldnt find a flat enough spot to keep their tent, so they rolled a lot.
Never been to this park. I have been to 2 other parks in Tehachapi. I love everything about it.
Great and difficult hike. Loses a star because the top is private property, wish those people would sell so that everyone could enjoy the top without breaking the law.
A nice place to camp, great for what it is. The spots are spread out and many have a nice amount of privacy.
Great out of the way place to decompress! Never crowded!
Needs a little up keep but not bad at all!! Lots of memories....
My husband and doggie best friends ashes are up there!
Drive to top. Walk to cliffs at sunset. Stunning. Try to ignore asshat grafitti up there. Hopefully that latest nonsense gets cleaned off soon.
The hike to the top of Tehachapi Mt. is awesome! But the restrooms need to be pumped there quite full.
Its nice on winter
Great place to sled, however there was no real parking at the bottom. Just had to park on the side of the road. Not sure about further up.
Lovely place
Beautiful mountain camping. Great for a day trip or over night.
Really relaxing peaceful scenery everyone at the campsite is polite and keeps to their self the showers and bathrooms were clean there were barbecues and tables at every site and I felt like that was very convenient we appreciate it being so clean also
Nice place to hike or just relax. No showers!!
We live it here. Great for hiking in the summer, picnics, and sledding in the winter.
Beautiful and well maintained
Good for hiking. Good place to sled when it has snowed as well. Nice camping. Wish the bathrooms were redone with a sewer system. Currently just permanent holes in the ground.
The last thing I expected going to the Mojave desert, was rolling down a snow covered hill with my kid. Amazing!
Its a beautiful place
The camp spaces are well placed. Lots of trees too.
So clean and nice. Camp site are a little small but very beautiful.
Amazing hike that gives you a workout
Tehachapi Park has several good hiking trails. The hike to the peak is a rigorous hike that will take about 3 hours to complete, but it is well worth the effort.
Just Beautiful...
Great park to camp and hike
Love it. It had snow and it looked amazing. I felt like I was in a movie.
Get local place to hike. Lots of bird and flowers.
Beautiful, peaceful, great place.
Got lost but had fun
