This was my first experience doing an escape room, and I had SUCH an awesome time! Upside Down Escape Games had an incredible attention to detail in all of their puzzles, and made each of them exciting and fun to accomplish! It is clear that a lot of work is put into ensuring everyone in your group can contribute and help, solving multiple puzzles at once. The prompts were also super cool for both rooms we did. I would highly recommend checking them out!

We did a little Escape Room road trip starting in Maine and going to New Jersey and Upside Down was the best place (in my opinion) that we visited (we did 14 rooms total). We did both The Arcade and The Theater and both were just phenomenal rooms. You can tell that the rooms were created by enthusiasts with enthusiasts in mind, but not exclusively. The Arcade was fun, nerdy, had great flow and was just a lot of cool nostalgia for any 80’s kids who grew up with Nintendo or around the arcade. This def. catered to my personal interest, but even the next room we did The Theater (which also catered to personal interest due to a love of horror), but there were a few things that happened the in room that was truly unique. This is one of my favorite “horror” themed rooms (in quotes because it’s more creepy/uncanny, not your typical zombie type room). It was just FUN, and if you are in MA, this is one of the places to go! (2 enthusiasts and their 6-year old daughter who have done about 80 rooms!)

While visiting Boston, we killed some time during a hot day in Taunton. We came across an escape room and thought to try it out. It was wonderful. Very fun and challenging. The theme brought back memories of my childhood. Since we were the last group, the hosts showed us the guts of how things work. I was very impressed with their knowledge and enthusiasm on how to make their room even better! I hope they open up more rooms in the future. Highly recommend.

Had the pleasure of playing both the Arcade and The Theatre last weekend at Upside Down Escape. The rooms are very different in style and puzzle type with the Arcade being a great entry room for new or younger players. The Theatre is great for experienced players as well as those who like a little adrenalin in their game. Very friendly and hands on Games Masters who clearly love what they do.

As a VP of another escape room company, I dont typically leave reviews for other ones, because I know that I am more critical than most people, noticing details the average guest wouldnt, but I dont mind leaving one for Upside Down, because there was nothing to be critical about. It was a perfect experience from beginning to end. I played all three of their games yesterday (including their Christmas pop-up game), and I loved each one for different reasons. The Arcade is nostalgia filled, fun, and filled to the brim with creative and entertaining puzzles. The Theater is a masterpiece of tone and setting. Both of their main games were immersive, well designed, fun, and creative. The pop-up game was a blast, too, and a great way to end our visit. On top of all of this, the two owners are the nicest people youll ever meet. I cant recommend Upside Down enough.

My niece and I had a great experience at the escape room. The staff were awesome… extremely friendly and welcoming. They gave just enough hints to help us out when we were struggling without giving away the answers. Highly recommend!

Best escape room ever! They do not just hand you clues or tell you what to do if you need help. They still let you feel like you figured it all out with little judges. Every lock and key and hint made so much sense and they all worked. Some places feel very thrown together but non them. Love it and would always recommend.

My family and I were first timers, but we managed to make an escape from the Arcade Room with some help from our game advisor. The extra clues were subtle and allowed us to figure things out without being told exactly what to do. Before heading into the game room, the scenario and rules were well explained. The atmosphere was fun and inviting, but I will warn you if you are an old school gamer you can be easily distracted by the games (which actually work, no coins necessary!). We had so much fun and will definitely be back to try the other two rooms. Thanks to upsidedownescapes for the experience!

My husband and I went last night and this was the best escape room experience we have ever had. There are many places out there that just throw padlocks and random clues that are clearly not well thought out. We did the arcade room and it was so well put together and the owners clearly care about what they do. I will go back to do them all!

I went to this escape room last week and loved it! I did the arcade and it was challenging yet manageable to finish in the hour allotted. The staff was great and very helpful with hints when we needed them, and explained all the clues at the end to fully understand the game which was great! Love and definitely recommend this place very original and hands on!

A very friendly and welcoming atmosphere! We played the arcade room and it was extremely fun. Just challenging enough to make you look around and think, but not so challenging that youd give up. Highly recommend for first time escape room goers!

My wife and I did 3 rooms in a row here (one was the gingerbread seasonal game) and we had a blast. The owners are escape room enthusiasts as well and love the excitement their games bring. The arcade is one of the most unique rooms I have done and as a video gamer absolutely loved it. Theatre had a fantastic vibe and was definitely a challenge. Can’t wait to see when they roll out something new.

Been twice in one week... this place is amazing! Did the arcade with the kids and then an adult night out for the Theater. Owners are great people and have done an awesome job! A must visit!!!

I am rating at five stars because we had a blast. You should defenatly go!! I recommend you should go in the gingerbread room if its your first time going. Then the arcade room and then the most challenging room theater room.

My husband and I went to Upside Down Escape Games on our recent trip to Boston. Weve been to 3 different escape rooms before this one, and this was BY FAR the best weve ever been to. It was SO MUCH FUN! There are really cool puzzles, and everything is put together with so much detail and passion. You are really immersed in a whole new world when you come here. I wish they had more rooms so I could do more, but we did both the arcade room and the theater room. The theater room can be a little creepy, and I tend to be a wimp, but it wasnt too scary for me, so dont let it scare you! It was a little challenging having only 2 people, but we made it out of both rooms (barely, haha!). I cant say enough how cool the entire place is! Way to go guys. :)

My wife and I have gone to Upside Down Escape Games two times now with friends and by ourselves to play the Arcade and Theatre rooms. Both rooms were outstanding and so well thought out—we all had a blast playing and the owners are fantastic. We especially liked that they took time at the end to explain all of the clues and each detail. We will certainly be back—can’t recommend enough!

What an unexpected good time! This isnt the first escape room I have done but it was literally the best one Ive been through. I cant recommend this enough, the people that run it are friendly, the puzzles challenging, the location is so easy to get to. Cant wait to do another room there!

My nephew and I went for the first time we didn’t know what to expect it was suggested to start with the arcade room ( beginners) to my surprise it was a lot of fun the room was very well designed Couple surprises we didn’t expect the staff who I believe are the owners were awesome so nice Very helpful We didn’t have an appointment but they came in anyway just for us (total class act), give it a try you won’t be disappointed I really can’t say enough good things about the whole experience

Ive played 80 escape rooms at this point, and its rare for me to really feel immersed in an environment, let alone have 30 years shaved off my live (in a good way).I havent played their new theater room yet (soon!), but their 90s video arcade room brought me back to the time of Game Boys, slap bracelets, and Trapper Keepers.The set is extremely hands on, with on-point theming...I mean, playing video games while youre IN a live action game...what could be better??My favorite moment? Theres one part that REALLY brought me back. You have to do something that weve all seen that one snot-nosed, screaming brat do back in the day: climbing on the ******** to put a **** in the **** to get extra ******* because bad parenting. Im sure my face lit up when now I got to do it!Also, the owners Sheryl and Taylor, are some of the most passionate designers around and draw inspiration from games around the world, which is refreshing to see. I believe they were recently in Greece and played some next-level rooms over there...hopefully some of that inspiration will find its way into their future rooms!Anyway, tons of fun, highly recommended!

Yeah, my wife and I just had our second Upside Down experience and it was equally amazing. This was their seasonal room and it was a blast! I cant recommend these guys enough. Plus fresh gingerbread cookies!

The room was very immersive and made you feel like you were in an arcade. The owner was great and told us about other escape rooms in the state to try while they are building their new rooms. Very great experience! I’ve done about 20 escape rooms now and this was definitely one of the best!

The Arcade room was a lot of fun. Great set up and definitely gets you thinking. The owners are wonderful and help make the experience even better. I loved it and when the new room opens up, Ill definitely be back.If youre going for the first time, its on the far end of the Plaza (if youre facing it, all the way to the right). Google brought me to the far left and it took a little bit of time to find it.

We participated as a family with two kids 10 & 12. Some of the clues were too sophisticated for them, but we had a blast! The hosts were friendly and helpful. The Arcade room was a fun throwback

Two veterans, two first-timers, and a service dog left The Arcade with an immense sense of satisfaction, plenty of new stories to tell, laughter abundant, and 11:30 to spare. The room was well kept, well made, and well thought out; its clear the creators have a great passion for escape rooms! Even the hallways and lobbies are gorgeously decorated and in theme! The staff were engaging and humorous -- probably the best part of the entire experience! The venue is clean and colorful, the atmosphere inviting. With seasonal events planned, what excuse is there not to go back again and again? Upside Down Escape Games, you have four (or should we say five!) new loyal customers raring to return. I took my son and his friend to Upside Down Escape Games yesterday and we had a blast! My son had been there before for the Arcade Escape (and said it was one of the funnest things hed ever done), so we went back for the Five Knights at Teddys. It was a lot of fun. We cant wait for the new escape adventure coming in December!

Upside Down is a truly unique escape room company who has created a fun, lighthearted, and clever escape room experience in their Arcade Room. The rooms scenery is widely effective and evokes the classic idea of an arcade, to a point in which it is impossible not to find yourself lost in the atmosphere of the game. The puzzles, being varied and intelligent, use a mixture of analogue and high-tech mechanisms to surprise the player, to the point in which I was genuinely shocked at some of the impressive tech-based moments. More so, the puzzles were fun, and made use of set and storyline to create an all-around satisfying experience. The staffing is also brilliant and incredibly pleasant, giving great hints as well as being welcoming and resourceful. Upside DOwn Escapes is an overall incredible company worthy of your time, and out of the 221 games I have played, one that truly stands out in a profound manner.

Upside down escape games has some really cool puzzles that use technology in a fun and unique way in combination with some more traditional physical locks. Ive done about 20 escape rooms and this is one of the most technologicly advanced rooms Ive seen. The Arcade was a cool setting with lots of puzzles and a few great surprises. The staff are great and have a passion for escape rooms. I expect big things from Upside down escape games and Im looking forward to what they do next.

Must see room! Ive done over two dozen rooms in the New England area and this is in the top 5. Perfect for beginners while still engaging for enthusiasts. The game room hosts are just as great as the room itself.

Ive done both the Theatre and Arcade Escape rooms and I had a ton of fun with my friends. The business is very clean and well maintained, the employees are very friendly and have amazing dedication to their roles in the games. As of writing this review I know that the rooms are going to be changing to different themes soon. I would highly recommend upside if youre looking for something different to do on your night out. After completing the theater room it really gave my group a sense of accomplishment and some good memories/ stories
