A 300 seat theater in the well restored old Tarpon Springs High School building. On the National Register of Historic Places. Comfortable seating. A great view from every section of theater. Saw the One Act Play Festival -- in its 7th(?) Season to introduce plays from writers around the country. This performing arts center is one of the best kept secrets in Tampa Bay. Diverse offerings each season. And very reasonable ticket prices.

We have always enjoyed our experiences at the Tarpon Performing Arts. However, this time they did not have plain M&Ms, only peanut. We ended up with no other candy choice we preferred. Hopefully, the plain will return soon.

Enjoyed Shakespearance presentation of Slings and Arrows. The community is welcoming of guests from outside. Cast and crew really enjoy themselves. Seats are a bit uncomfortable as this was a school auditorium where the cushions are designed to keep you awake!

Nice and clean theater.Seats are well padded and comfortable, but do not rock. Seats are not wide. The heavy set lady next to me seemed squeezed on both sides in her seat. The seat arms are skinny and wooden.Theater acoustics are great. The stage is raised four feet and is huge, about the same size as the seating area. In front of the stage is a bit of an orchestra area, not sunken. Floor is carpeted, so no food is allowed and only water is allowed to drink. No food or drinks are sold. I saw some films there and the screen was big, but it was at the back of the stage which seemed to far away.

Nice venue, roughly 250 seats in the same building with City Hall. Audio could be improved, but nice people and overall a good experience.

We enjoy this venue, and are amazed by the variety of shows that are presented. With limited access to lighting techniques, special effects, staging and, sometimes, real talent, this live theater is always enjoyable. With convenient free parking and access, this homey, warm, nostalgic setting is just the right setting for a fun night out without demanding the upscale prices and attire of bigger, newer, more glamorous venues. Being transplants from Southern New England, we miss the experience of theatre on Broadway, but this place fits our retirement lifestyle.

The only reason I did not give a 1-star rating, is because the manager was gracious enough to give us a refund for the performance of Marriage of Figaro that we attended on March 25, 2018. The venue was quite satisfactory, and the actors/vocalists were (Im sure) quite good. However, we could not hear their singing for the distractedly loud piano playing of Mozarts composition by the pianist/orator. We spoke to several people in the crowd (who also left during intermission), and learned that audiences in many past performances have complained about this very same pianist ruining the play. Its obvious this artist wants to steal the show...at the expense of the whole production! I will never return to future venues, knowing he will be a part of the performance.
