So I got a text from a dockmaster that the boat I had reserved for this weekend was down. I called the office and Mark Samples went above and beyond to try to find me a boat when everything was booked. The amount of commitment from Mark to get me a boat for this weekend was incredible. If I could leave 10 stars I would. Thanks again!

Customer service is first class but only at the marina. I joined 1 yr ago and it is very difficult to get a boat in the afternoons or during holidays. The whole purpose of this club was for me to have the convenience of getting a boat when I wanted one without the hassle. I was forced to book the morning times just so I could use the service leaving my family behind, due to them wanting to use it at 1pm on. I was specifically told this wouldn’t be an issue as my initial membership fee of $4700 will be going towards a new fleet of boats that will increase their capacity. I live in St Pete and had 7 marinas within 20 mins. I still had issues getting a boat in the afternoons. When I reached out to management, they recommended for me to book two weeks in advance. I then looked at all my marinas near me, and the soonest I was able to get an afternoon boat was a month out. I then reached out to management again, and they stated sorry it was their busy time and maybe I should go to a cheaper monthly plan or put my membership on hold. This is the total opposite I wanted. I joined the club for me to be able to have the flexibility to get a boat when I wanted. I wouldn’t recommend the club. My initial membership was non refundable, and I could never get a boat when I wanted.

I love the Freedom Boat Club!! I take my friends and neighbors boating and island hopping often. I love the Tarpon Springs location the most so I can go to the islands, anchor and have a picnic. It is a private island only accessible by boat. The fishing is great there too. It is the best investment that I have.

Boat was ready and very clean. James helped me and my party on board. He then passed all our gear to us and helped us organize the boat.He told us what the weather forecast was and to watch out for the wind.Said hed be there when we got back in.All the ladies in the group felt welcomed and comfortable.A very nice experience for the people who had never been there before.James did a great job as hes done for me before.Steve Wertovitch

The crew at tarpon springs really showed me that there are still nice and genuine people out there. My mother took her first vacation in 20 years and I took her out on one the boats for a day on the water. She had so much fun shes still talking about it. Thank you to all the crew at tarpon springs .

The dock masters are so kind and so awesome- always helpful and ready when you show up! You can go anywhere in Tampa Bay! Its the best thing Ive done in awhile. I highly recommend it.

I have never had a problem getting a boat. Just make your reservation as normal. If you want a boat but do not have a reservation you can put your name on the wait list for any day you desire. I get emails all the time for people who cancel in advance. Its a simple process. LOVE IT ! STAFF IS AWESOME !!!!!!!!!

My experience with Freedom Boat Club Tarpon Springs has been wonderful so far. From the training to the rentals their staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. They make your experience seem like its your boat without the hassle (and cost) of actually owning one!

Need more boats, and they recently switched to half day reservations. So you are allowed 4 half day reservations at a time, so if you want the whole day then that is two reservations. So you can only book two full days at a time. So for $3000 down and $250 per month, by your own boat. They say its a 7 member to boat ratio but I do not believe that. Cant even get a reservation on friday a few days in advance. If you have to cancel then you dont get a boat for 4 weeks unless you call the morning of and see if someone no showed.I was a member for 2 years and finally cancelled because of the difficultly using it.If you are retired and can go out during the week, I am sure it works great, but if you can only go out on the weekends then its terrible. The marina is nice and helpful.

FreedomBoat Club is a really good deal. While not an overly avid boater, FBC offers us the chance to choose a boat and go out on the Gulf periodically without having to go through the hassle of owning our own boat. The staff is exceptional and the equipment is new and in tiptop condition.

It’s not bad when you get the boat you want. Or if they actually answer the phone to make a reservation. The only thing that sucks is you never get what you want the day you want to go unless you make reservations in advance or someone cancels. I often find myself not even getting to use the boats on days I want because everyone wants the same boat and the boats that aren’t center counsel boats cannot handle the ocean waves well at all.
