Water wasnt very clean here but looked clear. Great place to find hermit crabs and mini snow crabs.

Davis Island Yacht Club at the end of Davis Island just off of downtown Tampa. (Private Club) Great sea plane basin for transient travelers YC members always welcomed call the club for details. Open everyday for lunch and pub style food at night closed Mondays.

Would be a wonderful experience if people would stop bringing their dogs and letting them roam off leash. It clearly states no dogs allowed.

As a Tampa native I have spent probably a span of a year or two in a row here if you combined all the days spent here oh, it is a Tampa local treasurer and recently got an uplift and is just beautiful love the Ambiance, atmosphere and to say its beautifully located is a massive understatement! Our last visit we took about a 2-hour sailboat Excursion With Friends and its just breathtaking the views and again a Tampa treasure!

The sign is right: the sailingest club in the south! Three single point lifts, lots of dock space, a pool, clean restrooms and a yummy bar and restaurant! Here for multiple J24 events and the staff could not be friendlier!

One of the best views for a restaurant in Tampa. You have to be a member or the guest of a member to dine there. Food is good and generous portions. Outside covered deck is great. Wonderful sunset views over the bay.

We were invited for the Dinghy Dames Memorial Pram Sailboat race. One of the people being remembered was my Mother Pinky Olsen . A Pram was dedicated with her name on the back. Mom was a founding member. We knew where she would be every Tuesday, as long as she was able. The Ladies were wonderful and we feel so honored and Blessed that Mom Loved being there so much. ️ Thank you

It is a private club. It is quiet, with good food and great bar. Best view of the bay in town.

You have to be a sailor to truly appreciate this place. If you are a sailor then you know that this is truly the best yacht club in the south. Great people, no pomp, great food and the beer is even reasonably priced. This is certainly the place to be if you are a Tampa bay sailor looking for fun.

Sailed out of there back in 75-78 thistles and Lasers. Raced with Art sordo had a chocolate colored Thistles name surprise and Harry Chittend when I was going to the University of Tampa. Great times! Went on to get my first Captains license in 80

Great peaceful natural nice location on an island separate from the city hustle and bustle... Above-average View, friendliness, High attendance at weekly regattas on Thursday, and an all hours pool with a spectacular Sunset viewing angle. Most members interviewed cited multi-decade membership of this member only yachting Club and marina.

The dock and grounds were very clean and they have accommodating staff however, you must be a member so its pretty empty. There is no atmosphere and signage for non members is lacking.

This place is so nice to walk and play with dogs. My baby swam for 1st time and he loved it. Beautiful place and view. Peaceful and relax.

Thursday night regatta is a great way to meet other people who love to sail even if you do not have a boat, you can just go and volunteer to crew.

The sailingest club in the south with awesome members and on point staff. Always a great time. When sailing in a regatta, the venue and hospitality are superb. Generally the food is good though it is the people that draw me back every time

I LOVE the New Yacht Club!!

Boss took us out there for the Thursday races...we were able to get assigned to a a crew. First time sailing. I was quite pleased to find how laid back everyone was. It wasnt about how much you had or what you did. But, that you wanted to be here to enjoy the sailing, the sensation of the wind pulling, the brake of the waves. The heat of the sum. The smell of salt in the air....Ill be back.

Theres nice reds and snook, had some baked red just now from this place,were thinking of smoking the snook or grilling it, cant wait for the little yummy critters Whitings theyre my favorite ENJOY

Good beer, great view, and a surprisingly great Cuban sandwich which included plantain. A great addition to the classic sandwich.

Private yacht club. Member of Florida Council. Best view in town! Come by Thursday evenings to go racing. No experience necessary.

Every time I come to the Tampa area I make it a point to be here. Atmosphere, sailing, people - all amazing!

Thursday night sailing end of March through October, anyone can learn to sail! Wonderful place!
