I attended a sports memorabilia auction in the country club. It was to raise awareness to Downs Syndrome. Elegant catering, a great Flamenco band &dancer and a superb place to stage an important event.

This is a very high end private club that we had access to through our tour operator. While more costly than others in the area, its conditions were excellent, as were its practice facilities, friendly staff and club house amenities. The layout was fair providing for a pleasant golf experience. It was slightly unsettling not have a specific tee-off time, but our tour instructions were not too worry, that we would play when we were ready which is what happened. Take some time to look at some of the larger homes on the course, a few that are quite inspiring.

Wonderful venue surrounded by absolutely spectacular million dollar residences & golf course

We had a business meeting in a private room. The room was perfect for our needs: projector and screen, quiet, and comfortable seating. We had lunch and it was delicious. I had the Low Carb Steak Salad and it was perfect. The wait staff members were professional and not intrusive. The entire facility was well maintained and clean. I highly recommend.

Top class green speeds today and the course played great. I found this course very challenging and good accurate tee shots are essential to scoring.

Amazing community!

The country club restaurant has the best food at a very reasonable price. Unfortunately you need to either live in the neighborhood or be friends with a resident/country club menu. You wont be able to find cheaper 5 star food anywhere else. The portion sizes are very large.

I did the drywall in one of the new houses being built. It was a mere 13,000 sq ft. If you want to live in a very expensive high security out of the way development, this is the place for you.General Schwarzkopf had a house built in there, many years ago.Beautiful golf course.

I love this place so much I love working for this place and everybody there is so nice the chef should be world-renowned probably one of the nicest guys Ive ever met. The garbage a chef is a very talented lady also.

It was my sisters 50th wedding anniversary, they are members there and have been for a long time. The anniversary party was outstanding!!! I highly recommend it, we had one of my nieces wedding reception there also and it was top notch......

We Love working at Avila Golf & CC, Isabel is very strict about the vendors that work here because they must always be timely and professional. The venue is very elegant and classy and located in the most beautiful neighborhood. We always love setting up the ShutterBooth Photo Booth at Avila!

Staff was prompt and polite? Food was quite good and decorations were very nice. A leisurely ride through area was not short of beautiful, large and some culture toned 15,000+ square foot homes. Lovely area tucked off of major street.

Great course, tough greens that play very true. Sand in bunkers is well maintained. One of the better courses in the Tampa Bay area.

We had our wedding here this past year and were 100% satisfied with the service and staff at Avila Golf and County Club. From the moment we stepped foot in the venue, we were in love. The property is absolutely stunning and gorgeous and offers a beautiful space for both an indoor ceremony and reception, which was very difficult to find for the pesky weather in August. Being from New York, I was afraid that we would not find a venue that met our expectations and budget, but Avila did an amazing job with both. The guests were extremely impressed with the food that was offered, especially the lobster and filet mignon, and commented on the beauty of the whole venue. My favorite part was having the venue all to ourselves. I know that many brides have issues with their dressing rooms not being ready or hotel guests rummaging around areas where guests can see them, but this was never a problem. We also got to take some beautiful golf course pictures since Avila let us borrow the golf cart.On a different note, I know some reviewers said Avila can be a bit stuck in their ways; I know that in our experience they were not comfortable with wedding planners being on their property. However, I have found that they have good reason to do so, since wedding planners are not always attentive to the propertys rules as well as stipulations in the contract that you sign with Avila. I found that Avila was extremely accommodating and professional and came through for us in many ways in the end, and I felt that they had our best interest in mind. Isabel (Director of Special Events) was the first person that I saw on the wedding day and came in the morning to congratulate me when we arrived at the venue. She gave us a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine, which came in useful when our bottle of 1976 Dom Perignon came damaged to the site. The staff at Avila were prompt and attentive when it came to sticking to the timeline. Finally, they were very accommodating even when things did not go as planned.Overall, I feel that the venue was beautiful and we are very happy that we hired them! We are so lucky that we found this venue for our August wedding.
