Recently visited this awesome woman-owned and operated, delightful shop in Seminole Heights and loved every minute there! Everyone that works there is very nice and helpful. Its a hair salon/art space/shop that has a great, relaxing vibe and is beautiful inside. Their salon specializes in vivid hair coloring, which Id like to come back for! Purple hair for me please! They also sell thoughtfully and locally sourced items such as jewelry, art, beauty items, clothes, even masks and enamel pins with a bohemian, fun, feminist flair which I just ate up.I purchased small gifts, including a badass RBG collar enamel pin for a friend and couldnt be more happier with the customer service, selection of items and the uplifted mood of this place. I love good relaxing, happy, artsy feels at places so much! Thanks, Disco Dolls! I will definitely come back!

I like that they are very green and local. However, I was not satisfied with my haircut. The stylist was nice, but I ended up with a very choppy haircut. She kept telling me I would get use to it. I asked for side bangs that would still go into a pony tail and face framing layers. I got choppy blunt bangs that don’t go into a pony tail that are now are in my face. She tried to frame my face, but all the pieces were choppy. She kept trying to fix it, but I told her to stop. Once it’s cut too short, there’s nothing you can do. The stylist then said it would look better when she dried & curled it. It didn’t. Hair grows back, but I wish I got a better hair cut for the price ($50 for apprentice level).*I changed my review to 5 stars from the initial 2 because they were very responsive to this post. They responded promptly and were able to resolve this matter to my satisfaction. I went to their salon as a referral from a friend. In hindsight, I should have booked her person. Everyone gets a bad cut once in awhile. They have excellent customer service and I really did appreciate that.

The Disco Dolls is an amazing and inclusive hair salon, boutique store, clothing designer and art gallery! They are very community minded, and choose sustainable and ethical products to carry. They support local artists and host community events that are phenomenal. Kristine is incredible with hair color and always makes my hair look incredible! Leigh Anne is a dynamic fashion designer who makes the most fantastically comfortable clothes. Beth is a wonderful artist and supports local artists with her every breath. I adore the Disco Dolls and I am so glad to have them in our community!

First time experience was amazing. Greeted instantly when I walked through the door and stylist prepared and ready for scheduled appt. I am natural so Im glad to find someone who works with natural hair. Definitely plan to go back.

Love that this is owned and run by fierce and fabulous women! Got an AMAZING haircut and did some shopping among the fun gifts and items and went away with a repurposed vintage necklace! Highly recommend!

The Studio is welcoming and contains something for everyone. Incredibly amazing products, gifts and gorgeous fashion! I have been a client of Kristine for over 10 years and I cannot say enough good things about how talented she is and how she not only cares about her customers but the neighborhood, the environment and all living things. The most well rounded person that is beautiful inside and out. You can enter the studio after a dull day or feeling a bit down and leave feeling enlightened and happy.

Such a great place! Nikki does my hair, and it always looks amazing. They also have some super cute things you can get for one of a kind gifts. From nice soaps, to unique jewelry, local art, or even vintage glassware, they probably have exactly what you need for the gift for the person who has everything. Also, they have a really great selection of hair products - Im in love with my 2-Phase spray.

Went to First Friday Art Show for Michele Young on March 1. This shop is spectacular! The sisters who own the shop are even more talented than they are nice and they are 2 of the nicest people Ive ever met. Michelles show was fabulous!

I love coming here.I get my hair done with color and a cut. The first time in several years my cut is my cut !The owner is so multi talented. Shes clothing designer the the women of today.All one of a kind.Its also a boutique with crystals of all kinds.Just the most unusual cool place in Old Seminole Heights

Not sure if this person was having a bad day, but I wasnt made to feel welcomed (except by the receptionist). During the consult, she yawned throughout and didnt seem enthusiastic to take me on as a client. She asked the right questions, I could tell she knew what she was doing, but her attitude was one of disinterest and at one point, snippy. This is not the new client-stylist relationship I want so I will take my business elsewhere. Glad this was only a consult.The energy in the shop is very down and subdued, too. I think all the good reviews are based off of the talent level and not the personality of the owner.

This place is great! The customer service is fabulous and I got the best haircut I have had in years there. I have extremely thick hair and they were super knowledgeable in how to thin it out with a razor without losing the length. I love my new haircut!
