Good location. Fun place on the river, clean. Would give 5 stars but the staff need to figure out a better method of keeping track of people in your party. Had to get on the bus loaded then off the bus unload figure it out. Then wait, load the bus count again and go. Very hot and uncomfortable while they figured it out. I would recommend wrist bands aside from the camping wristband with your number for the float. Would make things faster and less confusing.

We had a fun family July float and camping trip. We floated on one raft with 2 adults, 3 kids, and 2 dogs. Getting to the river took longer than usual due the power outage at the office but the staff was extra accommodating and kind. Afterwards we were easily able to borrow a small grill for a $20 deposit. The campsites were clean and we were able to move a solid picnic table from another campsite. Camp restrooms had toilet paper and soap and showers were clean and spacious for helping kids get cleaned up. Dont forget a tent fan.

What can I say, we rented a camp site with power and it didnt work so we had to move to another camp site and the power didnt work there either so they moved us again. The day of our float trip with them you have to text them when your ready and they say they will pick you up within 1 hour not to leave your camp site. We had 5 kids with us and it took them 4 hours to pick us up. Then took us to the river and it took another hour and a half to get a raft to start our float. Didnt have time to enjoy the float like we wanted to do. On the other hand most of the staff in camp were helpful and the camp grounds were clean and it was very beautiful place.

The staff was so amazing and friendly..they helped me every step of the way planning our large trip. Our spot couldnt be more perfect. The river float it self was perfect the flow the water and the people on it..cant wait for our next trip at our new spot....

The river itself is beautiful but the management of the campgrounds was terrible. The womens bathrooms were disgusting. I know camping isnt a luxury but for what you pay they should upkeep the restrooms and showers better. The toilet was full of sh*t, literally! Also, there was one dumpster for at least 20 families where we were at.

The staff is very nice. We got rained out this trip and they have been most helpful with scheduling a new one, providing the prorated credit of our deposit we werent able to use. Will definitely be going back.

We had a really good day overall. Good fun n sun out on the water. The campsites and bathrooms are clean. You need to add poles at the camps to hang lanterns from. The only thing I didnt like was the horrible loudness of the patrol boat. Looking forward to coming back. Thanks for the swell time.

Worst service ever. The actual employees themself are so nice; but their manager was so rude and disrespectful. She yells at customers and cusses at them. SO UNPROFESSIONAL I would recommend ANY OTHER resort than this one. Her employees said her name was Tracie or could have been Gracie couldn’t hear to well over her yelling. Anyways when we drive 4 hours for a birthday event to have a good time, this was the ONLY problem we had on this weekend trip.

Nice place, great employees!! When we arrived the road to our camp spot was washed completely out. They were kind enough to let us move. We had a great camping spot. I had not paid attention to the fact they had assigned me a raft when I actually wanted s kayak. My friend had slipped in mud and couldnt get in a kayak and needed a raft. The staff was pretty cool about letting me give the raft to my friends and I paid an extra $5 for a kayak.The staff at the grill were pretty cool too. Very friendly people work at Eagle Bluff. My friends snd I will Definately be camping and floating from there again. Oh yeah, my friends brought their skunks and were the talk of the river. Haha

Camped out in the late part with electric hook ups. Light over the volley ball court was out, but they sent someone to fix it the next day. No trash cans and the bathrooms (portapotty) were not spaced out very well for late night trips. Other than that the place was beautiful, peaceful, and staff was friendly and helpful!!

The manager for the Eagle Bluff floats was extremely hateful towards my friends & I. We drove 3 hours there on a Sunday because we read online they close at 7p on Sunday’s. She was horrible towards us & said they actually close at 5p on Sunday’s AFTER we had already paid (& after we had already called & spoken to them & made reservations prior to driving 3 hours). I got online & showed her that it said 7p on SUNDAYS & she said she would go change it online because that is “not accurate” (sorry I didn’t put that on your website, you guys did) & she would not honor it after we had spent 3 hours in the car to float the river. Really disappointing when you drive that far to have a fun day & your time on the river is rushed due to an inaccurate website. The rest of the staff was kind, but when the management is poor, I would recommend ANY other place but here (sorry to the staff that was actually nice).

We have stayed at Eagle Bluff for probably 6 or 7 years now. This one was the worst experience so far. This is the second year in a row the office hasn’t been able to keep track of everyone who’s paid. Granted, we have a group of 18 people, but cross them off a list when they pay and move on. Later, getting off the river... there were so many rafts just sitting in the unloading area that we couldn’t even pull up to get off. The worker girl yelled that we were supposed to be back at 7, but we were never once told that and there were a lot of people still on the river about 7:30. Anyway, my group of people had to move all these rafts so ours could fit because the 3 workers were over there sitting in rafts not doing anything. Just watching all of the rafts pile up. It’s just going downhill here. The bathrooms are gross. The volleyball nets are trash. The light doesn’t work. The sand is now rocks. And one side is grass. We will not be returning again.

We stay at this particular resort 3 or 4 times a year every summer for the last 7 years. I love this place and the bath house is very nice. However, the staff this weekend treated us like we were a bother to be there. Each person we spoke to told us a different time to be in, because they had been there all day and they want to go home. First time was 7, person at the desk said 6, person on the bus said 5. Never been treated like that before, I hope to never be treated like that again. Very disappointed.

The resort in itself was beautiful and what a great time we had floating, however we missed our floating exit so we attempted to exit at the next raft return, before we could even get there we were being screamed at by Tracy or Gracey... she was completely RUDE to us screaming that we needed to turn around when the current was the reason why we missed our actual exit... we can’t wait to return to Tahlequah and float the river again but never again with this resort. She should be fired... I swear she wouldn’t have been screaming at us the way she was if my friends weren’t black

Eagle Bluff, have been camping and floating here for years. Every year it gets worse and more run down. All bathrooms are cleaned maybe once a day. Doors left open so bugs and spiders get in and no water or barely any water or very cold showers. This year was the last year will be there.The campsites were at 1/4th capacity. Was told would get to two campsites due to covid at beginning of planning this trip then they changed it and had a very huge group of routy people right next to our campsite. This even with several campsites open.How it is run is terrible and no refunds. Communication between staff and customers is very bad. Had friends from out of state that traveled several hours that were very disappointed how the staff and management treated them too. We barely got any sleep even after quite hours due to loud music and very loud annoying people. There are several choices for camping and floating on the Illinois River and will be choosing elsewhere next time.

The Eagle Bluff staff somehow under charged our group so we had to pay extra even though we didnt plan on it. The cabin was not clean and there was minimal toilet paper so we had to ask for it! The rest of the cabin was not clean and they expect us to clean it when we leave but dont even leave us a broom! The river was fun!

People are looking for a good time on the river. Well Ive been several times and thought id give a good review for customer service and sufficient equipment.

Our group of four had a great time but only giving 3 stars because we were the first on and off the bus and received our raft last while watching everyone be assigned to theirs and the bathrooms were nice but every other shower did not work. Also they did pack the bus full of people and did not sanitize between bus loads and not one person had a mask on.

The process of booking a camping spot is horrible. I filled out the form and received an email confirmation and it said i had to pay a deposit for 6 people. After I called 8 times with no answer and left a message, I get a call back 2 days later, and they say I have to pay a deposit of 8 people, I told them the email only said 6 so they took the payment for 6. The next day i get a call and they left a message saying the rest of the deposit had to be paid for by the end of the day or my spot will be given to someone else, I call right back and no answer again for countless calls, finally they respond to my email and I get the rest of the extra deposit paid. And the process of getting on the river is not great, the directions say to text into the phone number and they will come pick you up, well after an hour they texted back then an hour later they picked us up but the paper says text when you are ready so we were waiting around for 2 hours. The actual campground itself is fine.

We have camped here for 20 years. This time there was no access to the water during the day and the lower bathrooms were out of order. Not good with little kids! It has gone down hill bad. The staff is so rude. They booked our reservation wrong and I had email proof if what it was supposed to be.

Been going to the river for years now. This was our first time staying with eagle bluff and never will it happen again. First off the lady at the front desk was very rude checking in, we only got to float 3 miles instead of the leisure trip we paid for, down at the PUBLIC swimming spot we got kicked out for our music as they say but never once came down and told us to turn it down, The workers were sitting there laughing at the drunk people trying to stir up trouble with paying customers. Then we had someone come steal off our campground and we got kicked out for it. WORST PLACE TO STAY ON THE RIVER BY FAR. WORKERS AND MANAGER VERY RUDE.

Could not get anyone to answer the phone when I called. They are one of the most expensive float companies on the river. Terrible music blaring where you get out of the river. We will not be using them again. Bathrooms were nice.

This is my families favorite place to float the river. their boats are good and clean. Their prices are great. facilities are nice and clean. they have showers and bathrooms with electricity, and places to sit inside. They dont get overly crowded like some other places on down. their float trip is amazing and starts and stops at the best places on the river. Staff is so friendly. We love everything about Eagle Bluff and will continue to come here for year. They also have good parking available and campsites.

Beautiful scenery, kind and helpful staff and managers, nice campgrounds. They have a family campground and a late night campground so you can choose your neighbors. Cant wait to go back!

Waiting an hour for the bus is the only reason for the 4. Looks like a good place to camp out too but we had a room in Locust Grove.

Omg i love this place this was my first time going to this place but it was so awsome an my kids loved it. The people are so nice.

No water in the showers. One of our kiacks had a leak in it. We had to keep draining it out because it would flip the boat if it filled up. They sent some new boaters out with no paddles or pfds.

I went on a float trip down the river here and it was a lot of fun! I would recommend you bring snacks (nothing glass and no hard liquor) and SUNSCREEN! And remember to bring water. Its a great day trip as long as you come prepared.

If they fixed a few things this would be an easy 5 star review. The volleyball court could be great if they put a little time and money into it. The front desk seemed to be pretty indifferent about their customers. They dont patrol at night. I stay in the late night section which I expect noise from people etc, but the last two times I was there I was woken up by generators which ran all night within a stones throw of my tent. I will say the showers up front are nice and there bus driver is awesome.

This park has potential to be a great place. But I just couldnt get over the lack of help from the office staff. We checked in, told the front desk we had never floated before. The girl said come down at 11am tomorrow morning. We ended up having to wait in line for over an hour to check in for a ride to start our float. We were with all the folks checking in, signing waivers and paying for the day. It made no sense. When we got to the front and had a few questions, the young lady was full of attitude- despite us having stood in the heat for an hour. Every single time we went to the office there were 3 or 4 teenage girls standing around talking and we had to wait for one of them to notice us. And when they did, they werent particularly friendly. This location is great. The park is clean. The staff waiting for you to return at the end of your float was very helpful and friendly.

This was our first experience staying in a privately-owned campground in our RV. We stayed Labor Day weekend and floated the river. The ladies in the office were friendly and helpful. Everyone staying in the campground had a wristband and the security gate checked each time. We were a little disappointed about the size of the RV sites. The site behind us had their campfire about 3 feet from our camper! I probably would not stay again but we will definitely be back to float the river. One recommendation I would make would be to have a check-in line especially for people who have made reservations. We waited a long time in line when we floated the river because of people who had not made reservations. Other than that, we enjoyed our time there.

Their refund policy needs serious reviewing.Paid over 400$ for 11 of us (7 adults, 3 youth, and 1 5 yr old) to camp 4 days/3 nights, all because we wanted electric to run a fan in our tents at night.Rain came in so hard and heavy on night 2, we left. Our entire site was flooded! 2+inches underwater and still raining. Remember..electric!50% of our only family vacation wasted! Thats a lot of money we lost.Do not trust them to know their own rain expectations. No cell signal to check the weather yourself.Also, bring your own grill. We forgot ours..rookie mistake on our part.This was our 4th time to camp and float with Eagle Bluff. It will most likely be our last.This wasnt light sprinkles or even heavy storm once. It was an all day event that ended up putting our exact camp site more than 8 inches under water by 6 pm. But no refunds..Yes, it is clear on their site. No refunds within 14 days of reservations. Weather patterns change. And, we called the day before arrival to check their weather, we asked upon checking in, and on our 2nd of 4 days. Not a single staff person knew anything other than its rained here beforeWe werent even offered a rain check or a chance to move the other part of our missed trip and wanted money to another day.We took a chance because of our past experiences with them and it mattered for nothing. I dont feel like a valued repeat customer. Im not so clueless to know it doesnt rain. The weather isnt under their control either, which is why a review is necessary.The staff have never been anything but nice. They smile, they laugh, they help where they can. Im upset at choosing to spend so much money for our family and not get what I paid for or an accommodation to another day. Their attitude in response Spent a lot of money for your only family vacation with us and due to the severity of your electric site being under water, couldnt stay the whole trip? Aww thats sad..well maybe well see you next time!

Overall the campgrounds are great and so are the employees. However, there must be a management issue. Everyone has different information so its very difficult to get things done. If they would all get on the same page there would be a lot less angry customers. Next time I go for a camping river float trip Im trying a different place. I have been only to this place for a trip like that and every time its the same. I have spoken to many other people that have had the same issues as we did and they have recommended different places where they didnt experience these problems.

We stayed at the adult camp ground. I loved that they had a option for late quiet hours. We used an electrical sight with our camper and loved that we could have A.c. after floating. Rafts were in good condition, wait time was a little long both for paying and waiting for the bus. My main complaint is the BATHROOMS. The bathrooms were cleaned Friday morning, after that we did not see them cleaned again before we left on Sunday. The bathroom building has a roof, but is open on the sides that along with the lights on all night made it an absolute nightmare when it came to the amount of bugs in the restrooms. By Sunday there were massive piles of dead June bugs in all the stall floors along with TP and in some cases pee. I would definitely stay here again, but hope eventually they fully enclose the bathrooms!

Always fun on the river

Went with some friends for a girls day. We got there later in the day so we had to wait a while to be taken to the start point because there were a lot of other people there. The bathrooms had showers, which we didnt expect, so we got to at least rinse off afterwards.We did the 12 mile trip. There were several trees in the river but nothing that cant be avoided with a little cooperation from your group. There were plenty of places to pull off to get in the water or take a break to eat.

Poison ivy everywhere, unkempt restrooms and a leaky canoe.We visit Eagle Bluff at least once a year and our experience is usually fantastic! Our 2019 visit was not that great. We hammock camp and this year there were few areas close enough to string a hammock that were not consumed with poison ivy.The bathrooms were in a disarray. Most sink cabinets were falling apart. The showers and toilets were disgusting. Consider bringing your own toilet paper too. The cleaning crew stopped with a small bucket of cleaning supplies but little seemed to be done. Cleaning would be easier with a hose and soap.The canoe in our party was taking on a little water. After bailing water out of the boat, the group began stopping often enough to dump it if was necessary.On the river we had a wonderful time! The river was up and flowing well. We only saw a few unlucky drunks struggling to steer their boats into deeper water.

One of the most beautiful peaceful places I have ever gone to camp there is grass right next to the river there is quiet there is kayaking and river river things the beauty of the place they keep it up very well children played it seems safe there is a lot of rocks so you have to be careful of the rocks and watching children not dive its a beautiful drive we came from McKinney and we drove up there which is about 4 hour drive and it was very worth it I would recommend it highly

We wanted to go tubing but the river was up.. We went on a raft instead, great time for me and the kids! Had tons of fun!

Eagle bluff has been the go to spot when you want to get away from the city life. They are always willing to work with you and are very patient. I recommend everyone I know, because its cheap and fun entertainment.

Ive been to 3 different campsite around the area and eagle bluff is the best bang for your buck. I always enjoy the float, campsite, and atmosphere.

Rude employees. They screwed up our reservation, refused to work with the amount they stated we owed, even though we were told we were paid in full. We were told to get out of the water at 5:38 because check-in time was 30 minutes ago. But all signs all over the resort stating 7:00. I told the office if the times has changed they should update the sign. The rather young girl says Yea, we will totally do that. Horrible service period.

The ladies working the front check in were super rude. Didnt offer info they acted like they were better than us. Horrible experience! The bus driver that shuttled us was amazing and the only reason I have 3 stars!

Very nice place but didnt have canoes or kayaks available for us & another campground let us rent canoes from them so it worked great. They need to purchase more canoes & kayaks. We camped 2 nights & paid $162 for 4 people. I thought that was expensive cause we just set up our tents & used their restrooms/showers. They have a restaurant & that was great since it was hot to bring & cook food. All & all it was a great weekend!!
