Go, go now. The park is stunning in fall, walk, drive, ride or just pick a spot and sit.

This is by far one of the most beautiful parks in Pierce county! Very well maintained. And the five mile drive is awesome for driving walking riding biking or anything in between. Theres so many things to do. You can get lost for hours just enjoying the wildlife.

Hands down the gem of Tacoma. Perfect for a challenging run as well. Those hills are no joke but the views make it worth it. The only downside is the amount of vehicle traffic in the park.

Always gorgoes. One of my all time favorites. It has everyrhing. And the room for everyone. Bring them all and stay the whole day.

I always always love Point Defiance. A nature e experience right in Tacoma. We run here all the time.

Great wooded park

This park is amazing. There are trails through out the whole park. If you are less mobile, there is The 5 Mile Loop that lets you drive through the whole park with view points overlooking the water. This is a great family park as there are tables for picnics, bbq pits, a playground and beach front.Owen Beach is a rocky beach that has great views of Vashon Island, Mt Rainier and the ferries.Pt. Defiance Park also includes a living museum at Fort Nisqually. It is a working Fort manned by volunteers showing you how life was in the 1800s.Then there is the Pt. Defiance Zoo and Aquarium. There is a newly (2019) built Pacific Seas Aquarium that has hammerhead sharks and sea turtles. This park is a true gem of Tacoma. Great place to escape the crazy city life and get back to nature.

Gorgeous place to photograph the magnificent overlooks to the Puget Sound. As a digital/graphic artist, I NEVER run out of artwork to create!

A park this size in a city this big with as many animals, trails and views definitely gets a 5 star rating.

Never disappoints

Very nice small zoo and aquarium. Well worth a visit. My favorites were the tigers and the red wolves.
