This is the biggest and the best art museum in Syracuse and it is located on SU campus! No docents - you can peruse the art to your hearts content. It is an amazing experience!

There was a fantastic exhibition in the hall called Nature Negative by Katlyn Brumfield about endangered birds that blew me away. Cant stop thinking about it.

I liked the walk through out the whole campus and the gallery as well. Really good setup. A different blend of arts, meaning photography, painting, installation and videos and the whole archive section was super cool. When I went there i was the only person so I enjoyed it with all the time and space to enjoy it all.

Thursday nights, gallery stays open late, maybe as late as Eight. More of than no, an successful artist in midcareer gives a presentation at 7 PM, usually attended by the MFA students. The art in the gallery ranks highly on aesthetic standard. One gallery tonight exhibits selections from the schools collection of Whistler etchings. The white wine tonight served by students in black livery offered by the college tastes wonderful as one wends through the new art. No wonder VPA graduates artists ready to take New York, London or Paris.
