I didnt hate it all, however I experienced some sneaky predice, ground worker drove in front of my vehicle got out with a sign rail and rope, hit on the ground in front of me in my vehicle got in his trooper truck road away as sheriff road away behind him, smh. I didnt catch it at first. Until later after I finished reading. Love the park, seems like everyone that has a hidden issue with people that doesnt look like them has no problem letting you know more.
Nice park. There were lots of people walking around. Lots of families and kids. Didnt catch anything fishing
Its a nice Park for the Family. We enjoyed it! We were playing like we were still kids. It has a creek, different playground areas, and a pond area. Love it!
Awesome view very nice park but they need to stock the lake there myself ok I can live with no fish but the kids need to catch fish no if,s and,s or but,s there is no excuses, I was there for at least 3 hours not one line got any action, to a ten yr old thats gotta suck. I know a dead lake when I see one, fix it if you can afford the ground maintenance who by the way do an excellent job you can afford to restock the lake with good fish, other than that great place. Makes perfect sense on the reply as does my response to my rating .
We love going there. A lot of times well take a lunch and eat there. Watching all the activities. To be honest we have to pay to get in because were not sylvania residents. $3.00. 2.00 would be better..
Great family oriented park, multiple child play areas. Public swimming too on certain days, weather permitting. My personal favorite.... 1.1 mi. running trail.
Great place to get your jog on clean place to take your kids
I normally love this park. But after making an online reservation to swim, I show up with my child and am told I was on a wait list. There were maybe 3 groups of people in the swim area only 2 people in the water no one even close to anyone else. We were told we could wait 2 hours to see if other people were to show. Ended up leaving with a crying child.
Great spot I love the place. The only reason I gave I a 4 star was because I’m not a Slyvania resident. I had to pay 3.00. It think it should be 2.00. Overall good place.
Its shady, and spacious. That isnt usually my kind of place but social distancing isnt usually such a priority. And in this good awful heat the shade is important. I went on a Sun. morning and it wasnt really crowded yet.
I have been here lots of times with my friends and they have caught 6 pound bass. Very nice and calm.
Wonderful to go for a run around this area!
We live within walking distance, its a great park. Plenty of kids playscapes, swings, slides. You can hang on the beach and swim, or rent row boats per hour. They have large rooms available for rent for parties and the like. You are also able to use several of the charcoal grills found around multiple park picnic tables. Toledo park system has labeled much of the flora and also created butterfly friendly sections that always seem to have some type of butterflies about. Plenty of ducks and geese and if you have a license, you can fish from the boats or the shore. One of the nicest parks Ive been to.
So nice and calm place to walk and spend a day peacefuly
Great open green spaces, nice walking path, fun play spaces.
Made RESERVATIONS in June! For Kayaks! Noon to 1. Show up before noon. They gave all the kayaks away! Ended up getting a row boat so the hour wasnt completely ruined. Some kayaks came bk i . We rowed in and asked to use a kayak. Was told NO BECAUSE THEY ARE RESERVED!! What happened to our reservation why wasnt that done for our reservation?!?! So unprofessional and absolutely disappointed
The Halloween drive up was nice!
A beautiful & serene place. I thoughly enjoyed being there with my friend.
Good for what it is. Small, open park, big lake in the center. Small beach and swimming area. Generally populated by friendly and open people.
Very clean and nice! Lovely play grounds and fishing sites!
Great place for a picnic, fishing and walking.
Smooth pathway extends a mile around the lake.. peaceful setting and enjoyable all year long. Swimming, boating, fishing, picnicking, and play areas abound!
Always clean, decent fishing and friendly grounds crews
All 4 of our Grandchildren where at the I s nice park today.!!!!
We did not know things hv changed. You now need to mk advance reservations for all areas. So basically we paid $5 for nothing.
Small local park for morning walks. Couple of volleyball courts as well
I enjoyed every second
Good fishing is you can find then also ample space for picnics in the shade
I really love this park with the exception of the no dogs allowed policy
Great park. Lots of wild life. Would be a great place to take pictures at, just dont go when its raining.
Roundabouts around the city of Sylvania on Mitchaw and Centennial are looking pretty rough. Do better!!!
Beautiful park with nice trails and great ambiance.
Great family venue!
Beautiful park with updated playground and beach area. Wonderful pathway around the exterior of the park/lake makes it good to get a good safe walk in and then have time to relax with the kids. Would definitely recommend to anyone as there is plenty of space to do your own thing.
I love this park! This is my happy place
It sucked... Did not stock it this year, so fishing sucked. In 4 hours... Not even a nibble.
Lovely little spot with a 1-mile paved path around the pond, open water swimming, boating and stand-up paddle boarding options. Small but nice!
Great park but does not allow pets at any time, unfortunately.
Had a great time kayaking, swimming, and picnicking.
Love the new playground
As a child, I visited Olander Park with family and enjoyed this beautiful space. Now as an adult I appreciate the beauty of this natural space with my children and granddaughter. From walking, fishing, grilling, volleyball and so much more —It is the perfect space to commune with nature
Nice relaxing place to go
Beautiful water and scenery!
Beautiful Fall color in Olander!!
On the west side of Toledo Ohio off Sylvania Avenue. A happy place to picnic with plenty of parking near the two shelters. It does have a playground for kids. I found it to be clean with plenty of picnic tables and trash barrels.
Clean, scenic, and an active part of the community. Looking forward to coming back in the sprinf/summer when the swimming area is open!
Such a beautiful park and so well maintained. This is a great place to spend an afrernoon: on a date, with your family (kids will love it), or solo! During the winter theres still some great walking to be had but during the spring, summer, or fall, it is really special. A beach for swimming, playgrounds (multiple) rentable watercraft, fishing, walking, etc.
There on line reservations do not seem to work
I love Olander Park because its right by my house and its good walking distance
Nice playground .
Perfect local park to walk the dog if you don’t feel like making it to one of the metroparks
Great, love it.
Olander Park is a jewel in Sylvania, Ohio. It boasts a beautiful lake in the middle of it with a nice path that runs the length of the lake. It also has a nice swim up beach great for swimming in the summer. Dogs are not allowed at this park, which keeps it quieter than normal and therefore boasts more fowl and birds.
Local and accessible.
A pleasant getaway place.
Absolutely gorgeous park. Very well kept and has a great family atmosphere and pet friendly.
Love love this park! I paddled to the park with my granddaughters. They played on the playground, and we saw Ducks Landing in the pond. Beautiful night! Cant wait to do it again
Clean and peaceful walking trail. Not overloaded with other visitors. Beautiful pond views.
Great place to walk and bike.
Best cozy park in town
Great park to walk, run and spend time with friends and family.
Wow, Sylvan Prairie now has a workout hill to up the intensity of your exercise. The sledding hill is now prepared for us hill climbers. It is the tallest hill in northwest ohio. Drive to the back lot and look toward the west...bring your hiking shoes.I cant wait for them to mow a path down the other sideThree cheers to the Olander Park crew for making the sledding hill a summer fitness opportunity,
Great fishing, swimming and walking. Grand for family outings and barbecues. We love it!
Our wedding reception was amazing here! Lovely and the workers we great.
Great park. Wish they allowed dogs. We went fishing, caught a few small bluegill.
Lovely walk and pokemon
Great park, nice place to visit nature and run.
Great park. Clean and quiet. Nice large pond for fishing (no swimming). I think I saw a rowboat rental. Volleyball courts and playscapes available. I saw several pavilions available for parties - I presume that you need to reserve them. No pets are allowed. $5 to enter. Overall very nice.
We love Olander! They have nice playground equipment for kids and the programs they offer are great! We especially like Miss Maureen’s programs. The park is a beautiful setting with a pond. The trail around the pond is perfect for walking, biking or any exercise.
Beautiful place, with nice big man made pond good for fishing. Park benches all around the pond, BBQ grills through out the park, seven dollar to park on primaces but free parking outside the park.
The hall is a wonderful place for a wedding. The park is beautiful.
A popular place for picnics, and fishing.
Always a nice scenic view, even in the winter.
Nice place to walk around, nice playgrounds for kids and sometimes theyre swimming.
It is a beautiful park that has settings to hold weddings, graduation parties, etc...
New to the area, the whole family loved this park.
