Harroun Community Park

Stopped here after ordering food to go so we could eat outside. Nice little covered picnic area. But, it does get reserved so be aware of that. They only had port-a-johns, although they were some of the cleanest ones Ive ever been in. After eating we walked down the path, it was very well maintained and a pleasure to walk on. There is a hill at the beginning and then it flattens out.

Nice little trail that runs along the river. I was a little skeptical pulling up but it was much better than anticipated. My biggest gripe is that you have to cross a very busy four lane road and they dont have a great crossing. We even saw a deer and fawn in the river.

Love to ride our bikes, teach the kids how to cast and catch and release craw dads

My favorite place to walk with my dog! Quiet and serene. The extended trail across Harroun Rd is nice too.

Clean and relaxing.

We have always loved going to take nature walks and my children like to sit down by the stream, but over the last couple years it has really been neglected. I would love to see Sylvania take a little more pride in this park and give it the love and attention it needs.

Spent an amazing 1 and 1/2 hours with Daisy Duke and Devan, recharging at the park!!

Great river walk

Wow, Sylvan Prairie now has a workout hill to up the intensity of your exercise. The sledding hill is now prepared for us hill climbers. It is the tallest hill in northwest ohio. Drive to the back lot and look toward the west...bring your hiking shoes.I cant wait for them to mow a path down the other sideThree cheers to the Olander Park crew for making the sledding hill a summer fitness opportunity,

Well located by downtown sylvania. There is a trail that runs to Monroe st.

I didnt even know this park was here, somehow, and I can walk there from work. What a nice little woodsy area in the middle of Sylvania! I love that you walk along the water for a while, it was a serene walk.

We love this nice little park....two years ago we walked on the boardwalk and checked it out this year and it has been so neglected we could not find the boardwalks.....it would be a shame not to keep it up... it could be a jewel for Sylvania, Ohio....

Wonderful place to take a long walk enjoy the fresh air.

Used to be the best sledding hill around...they they decided to not take care of it. Its all wild grass, Vines and small trees now. Sad really.

Nice to see and play

We walked this park last year and were surprised what a nice little park it was....so quiet and serene. We walked the boardwalk and the trails. Also saw some deer,. which we love to see. Just today we walked the park and we were so disappointed at how it has become neglected. The boardwalk we walked last year you could not find it...it was overgrown with weeds and branches.....so sad. The spot where there is a picnic area and across from it another picnic table with a roof over it was surrounded with weeds and overhanging tree branches which was not suitable for sitting there. It really needs a lot of maintenance. It is not taken care of as it should be. A diamond in the ruff for the City of Sylvania wasting away under neglect.

Beautiful section of the Ottawa River that shows how the clean up affected wildlife in a positive way.
