A nice place to hike, fly drones, photograph birds, and has some pretty stunning views. I may have found a new favorite spot that I will be visiting quite often.
It’s beautiful place for running, walking and even gathering with family. Open area if you want to use your drones, airplane toy or kite. It is suitable for all ages and it has a lot of parking lots. Very gorgeous and Green during spring and winter. It starts getting golden yellow during summer and fall.
Weve been visiting baylands for more than 15 years now. It has everything a nature lover needs - trails, birds, water, trees and can do so many activities - biking, photography, duck pond, water surfing, picnic or just sit back and enjoy the biplanes landing and taking off. My kid loves to ride bike here as well.
Great place for a picnic. Not much of scenic beauty. They also have play area for children so yes best place for family outing! Easy parking along with easy walking trails!
Its a good park for walks and runs, also fun to spend time with family or friends in the shade. Felt quite dry during the fall season so nothing magnificent about it. I was hoping to see water bodies around but I guess I should revisit during spring.
This park has so many different little pockets, you’re guaranteed to find a corner to call your own. The picnic areas have running water and outlets, too. Something very unique to the Bay Area, RC aircraft (including drones/quadcopters) are allowed in this park.
In general the park is a good place for a walk or a picnic. There are walks along the Baylands Preserve, open fields, rolling trails that are particularly fun on a bike, playground equipment, adult exercise equipment, and community gardens. The down side: if you are there the wetting time of year, it can be a bit buggy.
I was just there dropping my brother off to volunteer at animal assisted happiness farm. But the grounds looked well kept!
This is a multi purpose park, with a huge area. Great place for running, walking and get together. There is a huge open space, where folks can fly their drones. There is a parking fee of $6 per car, which is little bit too much to use the park. There are many benches, BBQ pits. Park is generally busy. There is ample parking spaces available.
Nice, flat shaded and sunny trails with benches and picnic tables about. No dogs. Apparently there is signage at the entrance but eyes arent that good. no dogs
Very good park. Lot of places to sit and relax and enjoy with family. There are a number of places available for kite flying, drone flying. Park is crowded, during evenings. You can see a number of cyclists too.
Lovely park with many picnic benches and places to walk, sit, ride bikes and fly kites. I appreciate how clean it is here.
Ample parking and a nice set of walking trails. Some wildlife including rabbits and geese. Great for biking to the connected trails
Nice walk there. When I was there people were flying rc planes and drones. Even one guy was doing drone racing so that was cool
I was looking for a place to launch drone and learn and this is the ONLY park in bay area allows drones .
Very nice good trails can access a longer bike trail good for running and biking really pretty
Park is huge and caters for different activities. There is a track for biking and hiking. Big park for flying drones as recreational activity. Childrens play area and a lot more. My favorite park to take my kid on weekends
Nice park to spend a sunny afternoon. We were a little bummed that we couldnt get close to the bay, one of the section is closed for visitors.
I have lived in Sunnyvale my entire life and this was my first visit. Beautiful place to ride a bike, enjoy a picnic, fly a kite, bird watch or just hangout. Cant wait to go back and enjoy this place.
Wetlands park which is very open and interesting to hike and bike!
Amazing park with lots of open space. Really good place to play soccer, Fly drones, Bike and have a picnic
Good. Clean. Easy in and out..excellent 4 running or small picnic..Parking is great and lots of it.Clean. Safe..and shade and sun as you want..For those reviews complaining about fees... no fees for now.. what wrong with supporting you park you cheap stingy ungrateful ones
This is a great park for an evening barbeque, morning bird watching, or just to catch a rest in the middle of a long bike ride along the Bayshore and creek trails.
Never knew this park was around. It is a really nice park for alot of diffrent activities.
Nice dose of nature in midst of two bustling freeways. Catch the trail towards Levis stadium on a casual run
Popular for flying drones and RC planes. strong winds in evening, good for flying kites. can get a bit smelly from the water in the bay. a fair amount of poop in grass from the geese.
Large open ground for hiking, cycling, drone zone, kite flying, kids play area
Bay trail is a really nice hard sand trail to ride even with a road bike
Had a nice time overall. Large space, best picnic spot for family and friends. You can fly drones, drive remote controlled cars & quadcopters. One can also fly kites, enjoy the scenic mountain views.
I work nearby and have visited hundreds of times. Its a nice mix of natural wetlands with great open views, grassy well tended picnic areas, and a large sporting field where lunchtime soccer or volleyball games are common. Very popular for companies hosting events for their workers, and for the drone and RC airplane crowd. Some nice play areas for the kids
Great place to walk or fly kites or just sit around and enjoy the weather
Nice and good place for jogging or walking.
Great place for kids. They have a little farm opened every first Sunday of each month but you can still spot the animals when its closed - goat, pigs, rabbits. Also people are flying RC planes very often at this place.Kids can bike and run there.
Bike/walk trail. Lot of space to play frisbee for kids.
Great place for practicing areal drone shots
Great county and city park near the bottom of the Bay. Needs a refresh.
Great place to just chill out and have a picnic with friends and family. Does get a little windy so pack accordingly.
Very spacious, lots of shade, bathrooms in good shape, lots of places and room for kids to play, tables and benches in many areas, great place to picnic.
Nice community trail along the bay area. Whish I had more time to complete the outer Bay Trail loop.
Amazing refuge in the middle of Silicon Valley. This place has enough variety to interest every one.Key elements is the wildlife refuge status of some areas. That and ample water attracts a lot of birds. Wide open areas as well as shady clove of trees. Bike and running path as well as baseball fields.Only issue is the smell from nearby waste facility.
Great place to fly RC planes. Also has great walking/biking trials and a playground.
Nice large windy shady park adjacent to the Bay, with bike trails and currently closed picnic areas. A good place for gatherings, large and small.
Cool place to fly your drone and rc planes. Had a good time.
Decent park to go to especially when Shoreline Park in Mountain View is overly crowded. Baylands Park does not offer a view of the bay like Shoreline Park however it still has trails to walk around and observe the scenery.
Great place for family stroll with playgrounds, picnic areas and drone flying area too!!Ample parking space. I am using it for my marathon training too with 1 lap on the peripheral ~2.5miles
Nice, wide open space to walk and watch grandkids as they bike.
Love the trials..ideal for running and most importantly, not far away from the city
I used to ride thru here in the early 2000s to get to work. Great park to watch the rc planes flying.
Wonderful recreation area for drone flying, kite flying, walking, biking, for just enjoying some fresh air!
My wife and I was having breakfast at the park. It was a beautiful morning to just hang out.
Nice place for a bike ride
Beautiful and easy hiking trails
This is a tranquil space in the north end of Sunnyvale. It offers ample parking (fees required most of the year) spaces. There are plenty of open spaces in this park suitable for walking, taking pictures, and picnics.
Plenty of spaces when is not summertime or weekends.
It feels like wetlands for the most part, but it’s nice that it’s fairly quiet.
Baylands is a beautiful park at the end of Lawrence Expressway near 237. It has very nice picnic areas and a huge grassy area. This is the City of Sunnyvales designated remote control flying field and is very popular with drones and fixed-wing aircraft on Saturday and Sunday mornings. A tip: this park is all but abandoned on the weekdays. There is a $5 parking fee at the gate, but you can get a yearly pass for $20.
Large park and many benches around to relax. Many trails to walk around.
Great area for biking, running and it was not that crowded
I love the trails
Its worth for a bonsai lover ! I would love to visit it again.
Nice but they could have a snack bar or something. nice grills to use yourself and free toilettes, playgrounds
Ideal for hiking (biking too) for those who want to avoid strenuous activity, because the trails are on level ground. You may catch the post-tide scene if you get there early. If you walk about a mile or two toward Mountain View, there are nice picnic areas, and even a restaurant along the trail.
I love the spirit of Baylands Park city arborist LOREN Wiser helped to establish Baylands Park in its infancy Loren planted the trees at Baylands many of the groves of treesWere planted with Loren handsLoren passed away in 2007 from leukemia after an 81 day battle I am thankful that BaylandsIs celebrated by many in our community and is an established park a sparkling gem of peace and sanctuary off the beaten path
One of the places i frequent. Love this place.
With large views and good facilities, Baylands is a popular destination for run meets, work socials, ball sports, drone flyers and walkers. It has some great walks around the bird life, some play parks for kids, big open spaces and big views. It is also a bike transit path for those connecting between the bay trail / Guadalupe River / San Thomas trails through to the offices around Sunnyvale.
Copl breeze birds chirping lots of trees and grass and right now its free with social distancing quiet and peaceful
Heads up, the trail doesnt lead to the Bay. Beautiful, peaceful view of the hills.
Be aware - theres snakes in park
There is a lot of nice open space for kids to run around and burn energy! I just wish the playgrounds were centralized and not spread out.
Ive been going here ever since I was little. Now I go here to go running. Its not the same as I remember it. The parks are smaller now, I was going to take my sister and nephew here, but now Im like eh... Not that it wouldnt be a good time for others, but ever since they did construction and made them smaller, its not the same... I do see people flying model planes here though, thats always cool, and people doing yoga. Overall its still a good spot to run.
Nice reserve and park, not very well maintained tho, I can see wastes process facilitate choose by.
Nice early morning walk in the mist. Flat, easy trail.
Relaxing area.
It is very peaceful here. Multiple sand/dirt packed trails along with a nice boardwalk that takes you into the heart of the marsh with a bench at the end so you can rest and observe wildlife. Clean bathrooms and nice play areas if you have smaller children. Would have given the park 5 stars but the grassy areas are quite shaggy & this is where most of the picnic tables are. Enjoyed this more than the Bay Trail.
One of the best parks in the area... Great for a walk too
Great place to fly a drone.
A good spot for those who fly bush planes and belly landers, almost unlimited sky and a few patches of genuinely smooth grass if you know where to look on the main athletic field. Bathroom facilities are adaquent, just watch out for the wind pushing your machine back into the trees.
Perfect park for bike riding, but little bit too windy.
Large park with a wide variety of attractions only let down by the smell of the solid waste facility next door
Good park year round! Great and spacious park with lots of bike trails and a playground, a grass field and lots of places to walk or just look at the view.
