Fun park with a sweet trail. Great for kids and families. They have an awesome hill and service sporting areas. Definitely take advantage of the playgrounds and large amount of open space!

Great playground for ages 4 to 12. Also basketball courts (2) and 2 amazing volleyball courts. Really nice place, only 4 stars cuz the restrooms are not that nice (see pics)

This playground is definitely better for younger kids.We love that most of the time when we go its empty and we have thw whole place to ourselves.

Its a big recreational park with pavilions, walks, hiking, biking and ski trails. baseball, skateboard, pet exercise area, playgrounds, tennis courts and more. nicely maintained and huge. this is a beautiful green recreational space, the sun prairie library is nearby.

Great park for young kids! Newer equipment, shelter, Sled hill. Near a baseball diamond.

Fantastic park with great trails. Always my go to park.

Great place to ride a bike, walk the dog, take the kids and have a picnic. Be sure to check out the the back (south) trails.

A friend of mine wanted to meet there and I just fell in love with that park ️ Its very clean and the visitors seem to be respectful

I love this Park its great. If you want to have a get together and grill some food the grill is right there. Old fashioned just bring the charcoal. There is a wonderful picnic area. Then you can let the kids play on the park and go for a walk in the great trail or ride your bike or walk your dog. A little further down is baseball field and even soccer and volleyball and dont forget basketball. This park was aell thought out when they built it. It was one of the original parks when Sun Prairie first parks.

Great sledding location!! They have several different hills for all ages to be able to have a blast on. There isnt a warming shelter, concessions, or bathrooms available during the winter. Ample parking though and it seems to be THE spot for sledding in sun prairie.

The ski and bike trails are great for time outside. They are well maintained.

I give 5 stars even though the park didnt supply enough wind to check out my new bi-plane kite. There needs to be a good steady gust going over the sled hill at least. The circular wind patterns are my least favorite thing about this park in particular. Hashtag why wont my kite stay in the air

Driving by...it is most definitely a city park. Sports stuff and real grass.

Sun Prairie Multicultural Fair was great! Good food, presentations, dancers and clothing vendors! Shout out to Keur Fatou Catering and Jakarta Cafe!

This park is very large. There are many different softball fields. Two different playgrounds. Basketball courts. Great place for parties and Leisure.

Didnt like bugs

Great place for a family reunion. Nice reservable shelter, clean bathroom, and playground area. Unlike other parks, when you reserve this shelter, its almost like you have your own park. The playground and parking lot is public, but youre mostly on your own.

Nice large park. Restrooms or porta potties in some areas. It has small skate park, multiple playgrounds, trails, and sledding hill.

This is a good park for younger kids my four year old can play for a hr straight without asking me to play with him.

Good place to watch little league baseball. Hamburgers, hotdogs and other snacks available for purchase.

Great park! Sheehan is the largest park in Sun Prairie. It has a large playground, wildflower garden, gazebos that can be reserved through Sun Prairie Parks and Recreation, and a multi-use trail that is available year round. Its also home to several baseball parks, basketball courts, and soccer fields. The view is scenic and serene. This is a great place to relax and enjoy nature!

Great park to watch a baseball game, play on equipment or take a nice walk. Theres also a skate park available.

You can enjoy every bit of outdoors! Well besides camping.

Lots of areas to play and explore

Its an absolutely wonderful park. The playgrounds and fields are well kept and a great place to take the kids. The walking paths are also very nice to walk on or bike, and if youre one to explore there are many off road paths to walk through. Just make sure you beware of the bugs!

To Kool for school nice

All I did was use the parking lot to be out of my apartment parking lot in hopes that the landlord would move all the snow. I did see some kids sledding out there. Upon my return to the apartment I had to shovel the snow myself.

Sheehan is always clean and always a nice place to take pictures and just chill, kids enjoy the open space along with pets. I love Sheehan!

It was pretty wet after the recent storms, but the new growth kept it from being too muddy.

Very nice sun prairie park! Excellent areas to reserve for picnics, loved watching my kids plays sports on the soccer field, close to the library.

Wonderful choices of activities, basketball courts, walking nature trail, covered pavilion for get together (rental fee), during spring/summer/early fall water and restrooms on site.

Hosts a cyclocross race every october. Good softball fields and sledding hill. Hopefully will have MTB trails soon
