Great park even though a little muddy in places. Unfortunately a number of people who walk their dogs there are very irresponsible. We named the first 200 yards or so of the trail poop alley as there was a dog pile on either side of the trail every 10-15. As a result, we probably wont be back with our dogs just to avoid having people think that we are contributing to the problem. So unfortunate.

This is a beautiful spot for a hike, and very easy to access from Sun Prairie by bike or car. Many different birds and waterfowl to see and native grassland restoration makes for a beautiful area.

The wildlife is amazing. I am the only one who I have seen that wears a mask and practices social distancing. Dogs are to be on leashes but you may find someone disregarding the guidelines. This is not maintained as you will find garbage lining the road on the entrance to walkways.

Short nature walk with a good view of the sun rise. The trail is about one mile and a half. There is a loop around a small pond at the half way point. The left loop can be boggy in the spring. Wear points or take the right side of the loop and double back.

This area is located right on our doorstep, it has a gravel trail about a mile, kids friendly, few benches along the way. And we love the viewing point, dont forget your camera and binoculars. This is the best place to watch the sunrise.the trails are well maintained thanks to our volunteers.

This park has a lot of trails and a variety of habitat to see animals and plants. They allow dogs off leash for part of the year. I have taken my kids here over the years to blow off steam and explore. There are some spots that tend to be wet, so wear shoes you are ok with getting a little muddy. If you cover most of the trails you will wind up walking a few miles.
