Beautiful, renovated small venue. The staff were very nice, the acoustics were excellent and of course, Delbert & band were superb. The downtown area is a wonderful place to wander around. Plan to go back after it warms up some. Had a great time!!!

Beautiful mid-sized opera house. The sound carrots and resonates beautifully. Very clean and well kept, too.Bottom cushions on seats could stand to be bolstered, or patrons could bring a pillow.

Excellent venue for vocal and dramatic performances of high caliber to display their talents.

Enjoyed some live entertainment. Had a great time. Smaller hall seats a couple hundred or so. Happy to see some life happening in the downtown area. Parking was very close. One hotel option across the street. Look forward to more live shows.

Beautiful, historic building. Recent renovations have preserved the historicity of the building while including modern amenities. Houses the city administrative offices.

Sumter Opera House is beautiful. Tab Benoit wailed the paint off of his guitar with no effects pedals or gizmos except for his warm heart and wizard like skill on an electric guitar.Opening act Eric Johansson also was a stunningly wild yet proficient guitarist who was backed by Tad Benoits bass player, and WOW! Tab Benoit played drums for his own opening act! Tab Benoits driving beat in drumming for Johansson, who was amazing in his own right, shows that he must practice so much to reach such an riveting skill level that I wonder when Tab finds the time to sleep.Many other great acts come to Sumter Opera House and you should too.

Love the restoration of this 125 year old building in Sumter. They have been adding more live music over the past couple of years, which has been great!

We had an amazing experience at this venue. We saw Paula Cole tonight, and the show was incredible! However, the venue is also amazing. Friendly, inviting staff dedicated to arts and culture. The venue is beautifully preserved, and breathtaking. Also, if youre able, please donate to their YES program, which enables youth to attend live performances! Thanks Sumpter Opera House for a lovely evening.

The band Starship sounded excellent and the staff were very pleasant . I would definitely recommend going again to see live performances.

Went to Lovin Spoonful Concert. It was an awesome! My seat was about 12 feet from Joe Butler, the main singer. Beer, wine, soda, and water were available. Couldnt been better!

Nice little bit of something in Sumter. Various artists perform here as well as little things like dollar movies for families. Definitely recommend checking out the website for info on events.

The atmosphere is very nice wonderful shows and concerts.

Saw James Gregory and had a Great time!!! Only problem I had was they dont have hand rails in the balcony area to get to your seats. I have bad knees and feet that give me problems sometimes.

Wonderful venue. I do highly suggest comfortable shoes if you choose the balcony seats. The view was awesome and sound very well engineered.

We were here for a competition my son was in. Lovely venue! Very clean, beautiful decor, well taken care of.

I took my second graders here on a field trip to see, The Cat in the Hat Live. It was a great experience. The performance was great, and the staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. I cant wait to being my class back!

My kids and I enjoy the summer movie series. Always a family friendly atmosphere. Very nice staff and the seating area is always clean.

An amazing, gorgeous venue. I used to work here, and I loved listening to music through the sound system. The acoustics are amazing, and you can play without any amplification and it sounds crystal clear. Ill never forget hearing Lang Scott (Lady Antebellums dad) unplug and sing completely acoustically. Goosebumps. Probably SCs best kept secret.

Wonderful historic restored venue with great acoustics. They have a variety of entertainment and programs for all interests as well as educational arts progams for students.

Its a classic opera house that is kept in great condition. Stage area and behind the curtain is pretty small though. Its great for Sumter to have though.

Great venue for music or dramatic performances. This building has been beautifully restored and has exceptional sound and acoustics. Ive attended shows here, Ive mixed here, Ive done repairs and other work for the City of Sumter - its a great place. There are also good restaurants within walking distance.

I was there for my daughters christmas show it was so nice inside. The rows of seats were so spacious. My boyfriend is kinda tall ans he had plenty of leg room.

Saw The Chicago Experience. The musicians did a great job----sounded just like Chicago. The vocals were lacking, though, on most of the pieces----which was a shame.
