This theater needs an update, in comparison to other theatres in the Charleston area this one is greatly lacking. And very overpriced, we paid $12.22 each for a 5:30 show. In my opinion an early show should be discounted, as most of the other theatres are. I would not mind spending more if the theater was of top quality, but this is not. Also when it comes to the snacks they charge extra for popcorn seasoning where other theatres give it for free as well as free refills on all sizes not just the Large. Many other theatres in the area now offer reserved seating which seems to work out great and stops the waiting in long lines. But each to his own! As for the staff everyone was knowledgable and friendly

I wanted room temperature bottled water, I was told all the bottled water in the place was in the the little refrigerators behind the counter, really? I guess it was one of those days/evenings. Very few smiling employee faces, like I have to be here faces. Movie theater seats are comfortable and generally clean inside.

Bring your own plastic straws as they have plastic cups and plastic lids but want to save the world with paper straws that dissolve during a 2 hour movie. They now make you buy tickets in the concession line so it takes 30 or 45 minutes to buy a ticket. Plan ahead. They also have reserved seating..they give you a screen that is not touch sensitive and the seating numbers are in very small font. I joked about it being in 2 font but it really was 4 or 5 font. Very hard to see. With senior tickets a popcorn and a drink we were over $30 bucks. I now understand why Theaters are closing down. Seating was fine but you need to know the place to choose a seat. Staff was slow and really not friendly. At least they could smile even if they hate the job or the manager. I have no clue how a family of 4 can afford a night out at the movies. Netfix and now Disney plus will be the death of movie cinemas.

Nice facility and friendly employees, but their concession line moves VERY slow every time we come. We dont come to this theatre very much anymore because the line is so long and we risk not getting into the theatre before the movie starts. Today we came for a 12:40 movie and the theatre was not crowded at all. There were two people in the concession line in front of me (each appeared to only order 1 popcorn and 1 drink) and we ended up waiting over 10 minutes to place our simple order.

If you plan on catching a movie here buy your tickets on-line. If you plan on buying your tickets at the theater go at least an hour early. I went to a Saturday matinee and was 40 minutes early for the movie time. When we got there both ticket booths outside were deserted. We located 2 kiosks in the lobby with sizable lines at each and nobody to assist non tech-savvy patrons. We decided to divide duties and my wife went to buy tickets and I waited in the consession line. Guess what the concession counter also sell tickets so now we get to have people divide where they will sit. What a horrible business model here, the line was frozen. Oh, speaking of frozen this location also sell a frozen blueberry concoction. Now heres a great idea because the employee has to stop what theyre doing to walk around the other side of the stand just to wait on another employee getting one of these time consuming drinks. In total I left after 30 minutes. Someone needs to streamline the processes in this defunct theater.

This place has changed a good bit. I have to admit I have been to the movies since black panther. On my return to this same place, I found out you can not pay at the booth on the outside of the building no more. There was no sign saying please come in. I stood there until I saw others just walking in. So when i walked in i ask how do I buy a movie ticket to the lady standing in front of the popcorn. She pointed at a self check out machine....... when I got to it I found out that you have to pick seats at the movies... I had no idea that it. Changed so much. Not really to my liking. It was hard to pick seats on the self check out so I herd you could buy tickets at the concession stand. I really dont like the new set up. But from what I herd other movie theaters are doing similar..

The managers seem very unprofessional and not willing to work with situations or the way customers feel. We came for a movie and had to come out and ask for our money back before the movie even started. During the trailers there were a group of 8 teenagers behind my husband and I talking inappropriately and using profanity. They then began screaming and throwing stuff back and forth. We decided we’d rather get our money back or tickets to come back another day. The “manager” is a boy who I went to high school with and he acted like he could care less if someone was on fire in front of him. He said the refund would appear on our card in 3-5 business days and it never showed. I called and spoke to someone who granted us two free tickets through the app. Upon arriving with the tickets on the app, the same “manager” said they weren’t valid and we couldn’t use them. We ended up leaving and going to another theatre. Maybe one day in the future, when there aren’t overgrown children for managers we’ll return.

My experience when trying to purchase tickets for “Little Women” was extremely frustrating and disappointing. Using the self serve kiosk, my friend I attempted to purchase seats next to each other. Only after my friend purchased her ticket and I attempted to purchase an adjoining seat was I informed that I could not purchase a seat leaving a 1 seat gap. I requested assistance from the ticket taker who informed I would have to get at the end of a long line at the concession stand to make any changes. It took us a half hour to purchase tickets that had the box office been open the problem could have been resolved in less than 5 minutes. How sad that customer service and satisfaction no longer matters to company that depends on its customers for it’s very existence.

This theater has decided to go to pick your seat when you purchase your ticket. What they dont tell you is that you have to stand in line along with customers getting concessions. We stood in line for 30 minutes before the film started only to find out we could either not sit together or not see it at all. Why not still use the box office? All theaters are going to this but they are the only one making you purchase from concessions. I should not be forced to buy online and pay extra fees either just to get a seat

Normally I am not one to do reviews but this was the worse movie theatre experience Ive had. Weve been going to Azalea since it opened. When we walked up there was nobody in the booths, no signs or anything. Someone opened the door to tell us to buy tickets at the concession. When we got to concession the register wouldnt allow the girl to finish the transaction and while she was trying to figure it out there was probably 6 or 7 other employees just hanging out. Nobody helped her. Moved to a different register and finally got tickets. During the almost 3 hour movie, there was a group of 5 or 6 people that were very loud, cell phone flashlight on, laughing, talking and running in and out of the theater. NOT ONE usher came in during the almost 3 hour movie. Several of us tried to shush them but did not work. Everyone around them was very annoyed. When I went out of the theatre I didnt see one person that worked there other than the kids that were busy at concessions. When the movie was over we spoke to what looked like a manager to let him know what had happened and that no ushers were ever seen. He didnt say anything. All he did was get on his little microphone to tell the ushers to make sure they do their rounds. This was a Friday night dinner and movie with family, all 5 of us out together. Not a cheap night for 5 people at the movies. l understand that they cannot control their patrons but having ushers walk in throughout the movie, I would assume, would help with such instances. It went from an annoyance to a disaster.

Overall, this is a very nice theater. What I like most is that now when you purchase tickets, you get to select your actual seat(s). This was a huge relief when it came time to see Endgame. Speaking of Endgame, the staff was not prepared for that crowd. Wait times at the concession stand were way too long, which is one reason why Im marking this down a star. We literally waited 40 minutes with only 3 customers ahead of us. Someone shouldve anticipated huge turnouts for all showings of this popular franchise. I had also viewed Captain Marvel here weeks prior, at which time one of the speakers in that particular auditorium was cutting in and out, and there was quite a bit of popcorn on the floor from a previous viewing. Despite these minor cons, this is my preferred movie theater. Another bonus Id like to point out is that they offer Military/Veterans discounts on admission (non-matinee), which is always appreciated. The theater is conveniently located in a great place to catch a movie, do some shopping, and grab a bite to eat. I highly recommend this theater!

First of Regal has always been our favorite place to go see a movie. And we do see a lot of movies. And our experience has been always been good. But lately it hasnt been. The tickets stands are closed. So that makes a back up at the concession stand. And you miss some of the movie before you can get in the theater to see it.As was the case with Knives Out we saw before Dark Water and Richard Jewell. Like I said we see a lot of movies. The seats are assigned. Which we have no problem with unless the seats are wet from soda or stained with food. Then we have an issue sitting in those seats. When we went to see Richard Jewell on the 26 of this month. My husband went out to the concession stand to get another drink to which the employee told him that the concession stand was closed. Then proceeded to ask him if he was mad that the concession stand was closed. To me a more professional way to handle this was to say Im sorry but its procedure for us to close the concession stand at such and such time. Instead of being rude. Til it prompted my husband to say that he didnt have a problem with it. That next time we would go to a different theater. The theater has been dirty lately. Regal has always been our favorite place to go to. But its sad when you get treated like this. We have 2 more Regal movie gift cards. But after that. If things havent changed. Im sorry to say that well be going somewhere else to see movies in the future.

The reason I am giving it only 4 stars is because the only non carbonated drink they have is water. I am unable to have anything carbonated so my only choice was water. Water and popcorn arent the best combinations. This is just my opinion on my situation. Completely ignored me at consessions kept looking at me walking by and then just turning to laugh and talk with other staff members as Im standing at the concessions waiting for assistance, so I went to another spot to get help. Seating was fine but the theater we went into wasnt cleaned, I get it, mistakes happen but my husband had a dip can in his seat and there were old cups in the cup holders, old napkins in my seat. Later after the movie they got the manager for us for a completely unrelated thing that wasnt even bad and she came out and completely ignored us. The straws are made of cardboard type paper and thats great saving the earth but those poor things do not last a 2 hr movie without being completely useless and our 2 kids squeeze their straws as they drink I kept having to tear their straws piece by piece until they could no longer drink out the straw, luckily I got extra straws. Would I go back? No, because of the staff I can deal with the other things and a movie room that got accidentally missed with cleaning and we can bring our own straws or just grab quite a few extra cardboard straws to last the movie, but I want to feel welcomed when I go somewhere not ignored.

With three different stories, I finally called the manager. This lady had no customer service whatsoever. She confirmed that there was something wrong with the machines and had no idea if/ when they would start working or not. She couldnt give a straight answer. I guess theyre not through renovating the place yet. As for the service attendant BEWARE they love to rifle through your purse or handbag and state that its their policy to look for people sneaking in outside food. I found that to be totally unnecessary...but the stuff they call food may have some people trying to sneak in something decent to eat that dont 25bucks for 2sodas 2popcorns and box of candy. Seriously...... Go if you want to waste money but they dont play anything decent during matinee and the stuff at night is very costly. What a disappointing experience for my first time there. First off they make you buy your ticket at the concession stand! Im not there to buy over priced pop-corn or a soda, I just want a ticket. So I had to stand in a line for 30 minutes because everyone in front me bought food. Then they show you a display and ask you to select a seat. The display is not a touch screen. You have to pick a column and row, the font is so small on the display its barely visible.Heres the hilarious part after standing in line for 30 minutes to get a ticket, I actually did not need one. There was no employee there to take tickets. I just walked right on in and I still have my ticket. So now on to the important part, the screen quality. I went to see the Rise of Skywalker, to me this is a big deal, I like Star Wars. The screen starts with the classic scrolling words and the entire left side of the screen has a blue tint. Then the colors were so bland I could not believe what I was viewing. Very disappointed. Were there positives? Yes, the theater and bathrooms were clean. Parking was not an issue.

The lines are long and the workers be all over the place. Lines should be designated to popcorn, candy or hot foods with the option to purchase drinks from any. They also should invest in another kiosk to print tickets from. Beware of a possible wait for people to either buy or print pre-purchased tickets at the one kiosk they do have.

We thought maybe we were in the wrong movie because it was a long clip of a young girl and her hair. As soon as I went to find someone at 7:00 to ask, the movie starts... Its unfortunate because this theater is closer to me and I enjoy that convenience. But I will travel further to be able to afford to take my family out.

You have to stand in long popcorn and drink line to buy tickets. You can walk in and go straight to a theater or just tell them you got tickets already when buying popcorn. Preview movie stop to correct sound.

The theater was easy to get to, and the screen looked great. They have assigned seats, which is something I am not familiar with. Overall, my family and I had a nice afternoon here.

On top of being the most expensive theatre in this area, the most expensive snack, they claim the dirtiest smelliest theatre. It has the aroma of well aged mold. The kind that you get walking into grandmas home built in 64. On top of that, they took the seats left over from a 75 Pinto. For over half the cost I get amazing seats at Northwoods cinema. Do not waste your time or money here.

Great idea buy your tickets at the concession stands. Took forever just to get a soda. We already had tickets and all the other people in front of us were buying tickets and food. Ridiculous.

Out of business this place was actually pretty great. Loved the films theyd show, especially the anime weeks and the Oscar films. The only way to watch films in North Charleston now is the Cinebar in West Ashley (another Regal), Summerville, and the Citadel Mall

I went to see Avengers Endgame in RPX. This was my first time in a theater in years so I thought I would treat myself. What a disappointing experience. Only one person serving at the concession counter. The oven was broken so no hot food was available. I ordered nachos and got a bag of chips and a cup of cheese. The RPX is supposed to be an upgraded theater, but the sound system was terrible. The dialogue was muffled, but everything else was blasting to the point of hurting your ears. The seats were uncomfortable and squeak, which was quite annoying during the quiet moments of the film. It sounded like a room full of mice with gas. Ill stick to Blue Ray and stay home. My screen is smaller, but everything else is superior to this theater.

Super busy, only had 1 popcorn machine running. Would run out of popcorn every few customers. Movie was late starting due to computer issues. For the price you could do better. No reclining seats.

All right movie theater. Not clean, but not filthy. Somewhere in between. Concessions are pricey like all movie theaters. Its just average as far as movie theaters go.

Excellent theater in the Regal chain, there was a small issue with my new unlimited membership and the manager Kendra did an excellent job of working it out.

I understand most of the people that work here are very young, however Chic-Fil-a can’t employee all the teens in Summerville. Regal please hire a manger or 5 that are good at training and help these kids learn customer service.
