Great walking trails. Pups loved the lake. Water is a little dirty..

Its beautiful but not one bench or table to sit and enjoy it. Nowhere to relax and have a picnic unless you sit on wet grass. Not very well thought out.

Come here often with the kiddos. We walk, run, ride bikes through here. Theres also a lot of spots for fishing and having picnics and theres an apple tree too! i find that cool cause well I am not from here and I never saw that in Miami. Lol nice little family spot! Weve seen some birds, deer, bunnies, ducks, frogs and butterflies while out here, pretty awesome spot.

I enjoy coming here on my bike rides, since bode lake is connected to a pretty long trail. I especially enjoy coming here during the sunset when the lake looks spectacular! A word of caution though, sometimes the pay near the east edge of the lake can get flooded during times of heavy rain. Otherwise its a nice easy path to walk on. As for people with wheelchair needs or other special accomodations, the entrance to the park is a tad steep so be careful. The park also has picnic tables too and a big empty area to play in.

Back in the summer of 16, people were coming here from all over to catch some Charmander. I fondly recall a day I was here on particularly hot and humid day. Mid to high 90s and I sweating profusely due to being dressed in numerous layers from head to toe. I was stinky sweaty boi!

Beautiful Scenery, Great 9 mile bike path. Fishing is ok, never had much luck. Nonetheless, hidden gem.

Its a beautiful place and a really nice walk too. Ive never gone ice fishing, but the signs say you could do that. The bike trail seems like its a great place to walk or bike if you dont want to walk around the lake.

A nice view from Bode Road. Easy to get to for local nature enthusiasts and ample parking. The lake and surrounding park appears to be well cared for by the town. As part of the forest preserve in the area, there are also several paths for walking and cycling around the lake.

If you want to catch carp then this is the place .

This is a fairly basic nature park. While it has some nice paths and nooks and crannies to wander into, its kind of bland and just okay. Really nice for a quick run or picnic and maybe some nature photography although I havent seen too many out of the ordinary creatures there.

Mosquito season is no fun but there is an awesome long trail to walk or bike on. Awesome

Nice small lake and marsh area. Good for a long walk that doesnt take you too far into the wilderness. Plenty of parking in the lot adjacent to the road. The grass is usually short enough all the way arpund the lake so you can walk comfortably. I have not fished here or walked here in the winter.

Lots of open space. No shelters. Very small but you feel safe here. Usually enjoyable and quiet. You could run here albeit the short distances

Great trail 8.8 miles

Bode lake is one of the most beautiful outdoor areas near my home. Dogs are not allowed off-leash but I always bring my dog on a long one because theres plenty of room to explore if you go on off hours. Ive also seen a bunch of people fish there although I have seen no fish LOL.Weekdays are definitely less busy than weekends. Enjoy your time here and dont rush it because theres plenty of wildlife in Flora and Fauna to see!

It was a serene lake. 10/10 will go backs to enjoy the lake.

Weve been coming here for 4 decades and we love the beautiful atmosphere. There is plenty of open space for gatherings, though there is no pavilion, and only a few picnic tables. But the lake is great for fishing, and the paved trails are awesome to walk on, or to do some biking.

Please keep clean. Some not cleaning up after themselves.

The park itself is ok, good for walks and fishing, but our car got broken into, luckily didnt have much damage or lost.

Great running trails. My personal favorite is the 8.9 mile route. I have seen many deer during my runs which just adds to the awesomeness.

I couldnt believe it but bode lake has a real lake! Not sure if it has a submarine inside the lake but you never know. I really want to check if there is portal in another dimension. I took my dog there he likes it alot.

A lot of grass big pond but the parking sucks sotimes during holidays and such it fills pretty quick. So better be there early to get a spot.

A quiet little park with a nice area to walk around or fish. Its very small, and was covered with Pokemon players the day I was there.

Too much algie by the shore. My dog drinks from rain water out of lakes but wouldnt drink from the lake. Saw the police shake down underage drinkers
