Really nice course that is in great shape. Drove from far northeast Wisconsin to play it on 9.12.2020 and would play it again with no hesitation.Tip: They already have the greens punched and sanded. Very sandy greens right now. If you are looking to play an awesome course right now I would play Troy burne. (played burne 9.13.2020) Same price, greens are not punched/sanded.Nothing against stoneridge at all, but right now for the price and conditions I would personally play TB.

First time playing here. The course was in great condition and it was absolutely beautiful. The starter was super friendly and knowledgeable! Pace was very good, under a 4 hour round. Looking forward to playing here again in the future.

StoneRidge did an absolutely incredible job hosting our wedding. Every single one of the staff, from the bartenders, to the waiters, to Riley, and Nick (the venue manager) were so friendly, accommodating, and made sure we were well taken care of. My wedding planner even mentioned that in her 4 years of working weddings, StoneRidge was hands down THE MOST accommodating and dedicated staff she has ever worked with.Apart from a great staff who made sure our day was nothing less than a dream, the venue itself is absolutely breathtaking. The tented pavilion is really more like a tented ballroom, with draped ceilings and three chandeliers hanging from the top. I wanted a beautiful tent wedding, and thats what I got, with the perks of attentive staff, incredible food, and an absolutely breathtaking view of the rolling hills and sunset during dinner. I will never forget seeing all 250 of our guests mingling in and outside of the tent, with the beautiful sun setting beyond the hills!Apart from the tented outdoor pavilion, it was also great to have the cocktail room for guests to mingle in as well. The staff flipped the room beautifully and efficiently during cocktail hour. Nick, the manager, was extremely flexible with our requests, and even let us use the venues votives and mirror trays as part of our decor. I contacted a LOT of venues in our search for a wedding venue, but the moment I set foot at StoneRidge and met Nick, I knew right away that it was the perfect venue for us. I highly recommend StoneRidge Golf Club for your wedding and event needs!

Stoneridge is always great! They have the best solution Ive seen for the raised holes so far. Allows the ball to fall in so its not iffy whether the putt would have dropped or not.

Played StoneRidge yesterday for my first time in colder and a bit windy weather. They had a fall special to play for 65 dollars which I believe is 35 dollars cheaper than the normal rate.Conditions: Excellent. Greens were in great shape and fast. The couple strangers we played with must have been regulars there as they commented on how the greens are normally even faster. Bunkers and fairways were also in excellent condition.Design: Great. A very fun and the course design feels like true Links golf. Beautiful design with a ton of bunkers and lots of hills but not a ton of blind shots. The design creates a lot of challenging shots on all phases in golf.General Golfing Experience: Wow. Pretty blown away by how fun and challenging the course is. It is also a drastically different experience than most Minnesota courses being a links course. A lot of strategy involved in some of the approaches and it is definitely a course that can punish poor shots or even solid shots with course management. A great experience and Im hopeful to be back in the future.

Excellent place for golf, food, and events. While many other courses around the state suffered winter kill and had to have temporary greens through parts of June, Stoneridge was in mid-summer form by the beginning of May. The food at Dannys is fantastic, and live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays makes for a fun vibe. I have seen many weddings at the outdoor event center and they are beautiful with an accommodating staff. Rates for gold are pricier than others, but you get more than what you pay for when it comes to pristine course and playing conditions, and awesome views. Highly recommend!

It’s a beautiful course, but be prepared for a 5+ hour round, and members are very much preferred over the general public. My group arrived with plenty of time for our tee time, and we enjoyed the range and putting green before our scheduled tee-off time. When we walked to the starter, we were informed that the tee times were backed up because members had decided to play another round after they finished their 18. This caused a tremendous logjam on the course where we had to wait on every shot on the front nine. The back nine was better, but the round took over five hours to complete. Preferential treatment to members can go a certain distance, but it adversely affected other players’ rounds. Not cool. After the round, my friend and I went to the bar to unwind with a beer, but I had two bartenders walk away from me without service. After 10 minutes of waiting for attention, we stood up and left.Beautiful golf course, VERY bad experience.

As a junior you can play golf here $30 for 18 holes. If you are under 18 please take advantage of this awesome deal! The green fee might seem steep for the weekend rate but the course is so good. In my opinion the best public course in the twin cities.

The course and facilities are easily worth 5 stars but it grinds my gears that players have to pay for range balls. Elite courses like this should not be so petty.

What began as a rainy day...with plans to fly to Sand Valley Wisconsin ended in StoneRidge Golf course. What a pleasant surprise. Great layout. Very challenging. Very good conditions eventhough it had been rainning. The restaurant is excellent. We had breakfast and lunch. Everything we ate was superb. Staff overall was very good. I can play this course everyday and not get bored.

Showed up to play a quick 18 during a weekday. Its a ghost town. I looked at the web the night before and tried to make a tee time for a single. The website showed only 2-4 players can make a tee time at $53 walking. So I show up and ask to get out assuming the same $53 rate on the website. $79. Weekday. I ask about the $53 on the web and they say its only for 2 or more. Weak. Theres nobody even there. So I paid $26 more to play than I thought I would. I wish I hadnt. Course is in great shape, greens are perfect. Just too much local knowledge is needed to play well. There is no birds-eye view of the course on the card. So you dont know the routing of the holes or the hidden hazards. After the 5th bunker I hit into that I thought was the middle of the fairway, I had to get my phone out and use Google Earth to plot my way around the rest of the course. I dont know of any other course Ive HAD to do that. Itd be more fun to play the next time I think now that I know the routing a bit better. Not at $79 though. I could play Loggers Trail twice for that money. $50? I might give it another try. Again, great conditions, lots of hidden trouble, and expensive for the area. Make your tee time on the website or you may be in for a surprise at the desk.

Maybe the worst customer service I have ever received. I will never spend a dime at this golf course. There are too many other top-flight well run courses in the area. Save yourself some headache and play somewhere else!

Nice course. I have never ran a marathon before but I could walk 26 miles before I finished 18 holes riding in cart at this course. Pace of play is BRUTAL! $92 to play 5 1/2 hrs. If you like sitting around on the golf course play it.

This course is just okay. Staff is unfriendly. Course is in decent shape when its not within a few weeks of aeration. Layout is very difficult, especially if its windy. Fairways are like cement which is usually a good thing, but it seems overly exaggerated here and really cheapens the experience. If Im paying almost $100 for a round, I expect a fair challenge, and this course does not provide that. Troy Burne has a similar layout in that its a links style course and a similar price, but its kept in far better shape and has a much better layout.

Really good golf course! We played 78 holes on a beautiful August day! The greens are excellent and very challenging. The lay-out is very fair. My buddy and I are both low handicap players and played the tips ALL day.Greens 9/10 ( many divots NOT fixed). Speed was perfect. Good shots held.Tees-Good sight-lines and well kept!Fairways-Very generous! More people need to use the seed and NOT replace the divot.# 12 was the only real demanding tee shot (into the wind over water) on the par 4s. You would like to hit solid t-shots on # 5, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18Grounds crew did/do a wonderful job! There are A LOT of bunkers/sand and they were rakes (many by hand)! You can tell they have pride in their work. Very friendly and helpful too!Food-Turkey sandwich tasted great!Water was provided on the course (water bottles in coolers), but ran out about 3:30 :(Play was very quick in the morning (finished 36 holes by 1:00). The 3rd round was a bit ridiculous! Many groups jumped in front of multiple groups. No ranger out there. 18 holes took over 5 hrs! Back 9 was 3+ hours! Last round was played with helpful members who loved to play fast!I-94 can be heard, but has ZERO impact on your game!If you want a challenge to see where your game is go there and play. You need to hit quality shots. Need to have your mental game sharp, esp. around the greens!Thank you StoneRidge, Stillwater, and Minnesota! We will return for more!
