The staff was incredibly nice! They would pop in and out of our visit (unguided) to give us bits of information, allow the kids to hold some of the animals, or ask questions to get us to think about the possibilities. We had a wonderful visit!!
My wife and I visited the Georgia Southern Center for Wildlife Education and we enjoyed our time here. I believe the program means well, they help rehabilitate and care for injured animals while providing education to the public about the native and invasive species of plants and animals in the area. Unfortunately I believe the animals and the facility grounds are under kept.
Great place to take the kids. My 10 year old loved it.
Excellence experience! The staff here are so knowledgeable and friendly! Our whole family learned so much. The presentations on reptiles and birds were entertaining and educational. Top-notch! Plus, we really appreciated the low admission price!
We have really been enjoying taking our grandchildren to the Wildlife Center. They love it and always learn something new. I love seeing their excitement! As a classroom teacher, I used to take my students on field trips there quite often. Since my retirement, though, I had not visited in several years. It was such a nice surprise to see all of the new additions and expansion. Keep up the great work!
Beautiful shaded pathways throughout Wildlife Center going past different bird habitats interesting displays inside Journey peaceful restful place to walk and what different birds are reptiles on display educational bird and reptile shows very affordable place to take young children
I attend Georgia Southern and these animals are poorly taken care of. They may put on a front for a lot of people but go to the center on a regular day, its like people who work there thinks its a place to lounge and be on their phones. I actually would love to work here because even though Im just one person, I could be the voice and savior for many animals who unfortunately reside in The Wildlife Center.
Great facility, Anyone who hasnt witnessed an American Eagle and other Raptors up close will not be dissapointed !
The staff at the Center are very friendly and inviting. They dont mind taking the animals out to see if there isnt any programs occurring. This is a great place to share memorable experiences with family and friends!!
Why would you ever think of tethering down your animals? Thats not right! They are all roaming animals. You are tethering then and giving them very little mobility. Y’all are worse then the people in jurastic park. I only saw one animal that was actually injured. I bet there is more animals dieig from no mobile and not being able to get to there water bowl from them being tethered(it is really hot ourtside that isn’t). If I was one of those birds I would die of depression and dehydration. It would be better if you had a large terrarium for all of the animals to fly/ roam around in.
Great for kids
This was my second tour and I enjoyed it as much as the first time. The staff are friendly and knowlegable and I love the flight show where hawks and owls fly right over your head.
This is a great place to spend a few hours. The animals are awesome
I think the center is a great idea, but unfortunately it is very poorly run. The staff is very rude, and their animals die at an alarming rate. I would recommend visiting another great place in Statesboro, such as the garden @ GSU, before going here.
It is very educational and the Staff was full of information, I really had a great time and i got great photos of the birds.I would recommend this for everyone.
Excellent experience for my kids. Very entertaining and educational
Very well organized; a lot of fun for the kids!
Horrible Place. The full time staff is rude and not helpful. Not worth anyones time.
This place is absolutely horrible. They tether their animals with minimum shelter and mobility and leave them there all day. They basically put animals on display as you would an action figure on your shelf. They do not treat the animals right at all.
Nice and relaxing
