Amazing time, so much history and amazing staff full of information!
Not sure how many arms are in this museum. I highly recommend you make time to visit. There is a wealth of knowledge and history in here that is just amazing. Much bigger museum than I thought on my way in.
If you are into guns, you need to take a few minutes and walk through this display. Bass pro is amazing but dont miss the guns.
I recommend going to this over the aquarium if you only have time for one activity. This was our favorite part.
Great selection of guns.
I visited the store late in the evening . could only peek through the window.. I put this on my must go to list..Im a collector my wife refers to me as a hoarder rather than a collector.go there I think youll be amaze. D. Join the. Nra. Protect are amendment rights. Nra fights for you.
If youre interested in guns, this is the place to visit! Its free and located inside Bass Pro shop itself. Lots of steps to reach the doors... but otherwise, a wonderful museum of firearms. We took at least an hour just slowly walking through and still didnt see everything. A fantastic addition to Bass Pro.
Im a longtime (20+ years) NRA member and now Patron Member, so I am obviously very supportive of the NRA as a whole. However, for the purposes of this review, I will only write about the Shooting Arms Museum and what it offers. Well, first of all, its free to the public, for both members and non-members alike. Second, its conveniently located inside Bass Pro Shops in Springfield, MO. They have a great collection of all types of firearms from cowboy guns to military to law enforcement and all the way back to the seventeenth century. Everything is presented with history and context.
Great firearms history and displays.
A lot of neat information. Some of that, Im sure as propaganda, but we enjoyed walking through the museum.
Truly amazing how our American history can be traced through gun technology. The bow and archery section though smaller, is well worth the time. The guides are extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
Great place to see many historic gun
I love this place. I highly recommend everyone visit.

Great Bass pro shop. Huge place. Full of museums both free and ones that cost. We did the free ones. Very interesting history on the fishing family that started Bass pro.
Well displayed and very educational. It was a great way to learn about and see animals displayed in their natural habitat.
Great place. Bought a great gun there.
My son and I love this place. Staff here is very nice and knowledgable
Awesome historic collection and many contemporary firearms. Great staff and very knowledgable. Definitely worth a visit.
Fascinating museum showing the evolution of fire arms through history also enjoyed seeing the movie guns. I recommend this museum if your in the area or shopping at Bass Pro.
An awesome collection of firearms ! They had firearms of all types from rifles to pistols, very impressive
One if the most extensive collection of firearms Ive ever seen
Very nice. Animals for the kids & lots of supplies
This is a very cool place. They have all kinds of guns on display, even some used by John Wayne, Teddy Roosevelt and Clint Eastwood...
They had guns. You could look at em.
Great little walk through even for people who arent huge gun people. The history is very interesting
Excellent collection. One can easily spend half a day here. Free.
For hunters or gun enthusist this a wonderful place to walk through and to view a history of firearms. The folks who work in the museum are kind and knowledgeable. Great place to spend an hour or two depending how slow you look and how much you read the information.

Beautiful firearms and a lot of history. A lot of stairs going in/out so it may be difficult for some people.
Very impressive exhibit. Have been multiple times when I have the spare time and am around Bass Pro. Always worth spending the time and taking a stroll through.
Very interesting. Ron is very knowledgeable. Saw some very historical items. Guns fro Pat Garrett, Jesse James and Bass Reeves.
Its a amazing adventure. Im proud to be a member.
Pretty Cool place. They have everything from guns from movies, to match set dueling pistols. There is also an attached archery museum. I think both are worth the look if.you in the area. Best part is its free to do so.

Two good museums one of firearms and the other for archery. Good free museum addition when visiting Bass pro.
One of the neatest places Ive ever been, must see place if you get close
There are extremely interesting facts and stories behind a lot of the firearms.
The visit was breathtakingly historical.
An awesome collection of firearms with lots of history.
Really enjoyed walking through here. Staff very knowledgable
Great collection of history, make sure to give yourself a couple extra hours if youre a gun buff. Also there are very comfy couches for the wife to take a nap.
Coolest place Black&White Roofing always enjoys spending time with friends and family here
Who doesnt love Bass Pro! I have never met Mr.Morris but he is an amazing man who does so much for this area. Thank you and God bless Bass Pro.
For a man or woman who is as crazy about guns as I am this is a very cool collection of firearms and it also has a awsome archery exhibit.
Im giving it 1* because I cant give it 0*. I will also not recommend anything about the NRA to anyone. Then again, being from a state that (unfortunately) promotes open carry, people will still go.
Beautiful displays and good information. We spent a couple of hours, because we were really interested, but I could see others glancing at displays filled with hundreds of rifles, shotguns, and pistols, and being done in 15 minutes. Given the entrance cost is free, it is worth the visit either way!
Really cool well worth checking it out!
As an NRA member, I had to visit this site. We enjoyed it a lot. The guys working there were very friendly and knowledgeable.
Lots to see too much to report on just need to see it to appreciate.
Great collection of old firearms. Lot of history.
This museum is Awesome!! A must see at Bass Pro in Branson!! We spent the whole day therr
Enjoyed this experience very much...a huge selection of guns, rifles and other items from several eras in time. Easy access to the museum from within Bass Pro. The staff was friendly and willing to take time to answer any questions, however, there was one gentleman that became rude when I asked him if they had any muskets and said, in a loud voice, Musket? Theres no such thing as a musket! This was a little upsetting since Muskets were developed in the 16th century and used for a very long time. If not for this, I would have given 5 stars.
Went with my Beautys father... I was very impressed with it and they had a historic lawman pistol display in town that was very informative and I will be going again
Great collection in the original Bass Pro Shops store. Well worth the visit and time and it is no charge.
Nice. Lots of good info!
WOW!! Great selection of historical fire arms. Very knowledgeable staff.
Its a great stocked place, decent customer service.
It was free and it had a lot of interesting exhibits.
Its FREEIts on the second floor of Bass Pro.Elephant Guns, Muskets, Civil War six shooters.
Cool place to look at guns
What More can I say but I Love Bass pro!
An amazing display of guns and memorabilia
I own a musket for home defense, since thats what the founding fathers intended. Four ruffians break into my house. What the devil? I scream as I grab my powdered wig and Kentucky rifle. I blow a golf ball sized hole through the first man, hes dead on the spot. Draw my pistol on the second man, miss him entirely because its smoothbore and nails the neighbors dog. I have to resort to the cannon mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with grape shot, Tally ho lads. the grape shot shreds two men in the blast, throwing them through the wall, garden and finally landing in my neighbors outhouse. A horrific violation of private property and the ideas this nation was founded on. The sound and extra shrapnel set off car alarms. I fix bayonet and charge the last terrified rapscallion. He Bleeds out waiting on the police to arrive since triangular bayonet wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as the founding fathers intended, and just as Obama hates.
A must see for shooters of firearm and bow alike.
Very nice exhibition inside a BassPro store. Covers primarily sporting arms, but some military arms are on exhibit. If you want to see guns of famous celebrities and Sportsmens you must see this. Not sure why it is located in Springfield MO. Not most accessible.
My husband truly enjoyed visiting.
I am a huge history buff. Loved all the history of the gun and seeing first hand the advancements over time
Have you seen Geronimos bow? I have
Tons of amazing firearms and lots of history to look at.
NRA Member anyway, great experience and Bass Pro there too
Great nostalgia and friendly customer service
To me the most interesting items are in the back, the guns and other items with a history behind them.
The history of weapons was fantastic
Fantastic history... Can not get enough of this place.
Great Guns and Service .
The curator I spoke to had zero knowledge to share and it really dragged the whole experience down.
This made my whole trip! It was great!
Really cool place lots of information.
Theres a lot of nice old guns to see
