I usually only visit this place for the roller derby. Since the last time I was there, they have made some improvements to the old structure/building. Its nice to see this really cool building still standing and available for events. Its GREAT for things like roller derby. The stadium seating is perfect for viewing sports.

This place is small enough that you can easily see/hear the performers. I didn’t hear an issue with the sound system, but I’m assuming the artists bring their own stuff anyway. It was about 20 degrees outside and I did wear my light jacket the whole concert, which is rare for me, so I can see how the temperature may be an issue for some. I liked it because I didn’t get hot at all down in the crowd. The drinks that you could by were on a token system, but it was 1 token=1 drink, so it wasn’t confusing to me. Overall I really enjoyed this place and will definitely drive the 2 hours to come back to a concert here.

A very cool vintage venue. The Shriners are a delight and the events they hold here support great causes. While it is not the best audio for a concert, the vibe is old-school awesome.

Been to concerts, midget wrestling, and most recently, roller derby. All kinds of events are hosted here for adults as well as families with small children. Security is always present and on task. Prices are always good. Bathrooms are always clean. Concert acoustics are great. It not coliseum size, more like gymnasium size, so youre always close to the action.

Kind of a run down venue. Tiny bathroom, no permanent bar. The bar which was set up only had cheap beer (bud, Miller, blue moon) nothing decent. I would have gladly paid more for a decent beer. The staff and security seemed to have an attitude like they were herding cattle, not people.

Review №30

Been here a few times, but this recent time the event staff was a bit on the rude side. Didnt appreciate them yelling at people and treating us like cattle. As for the venue itself, its an older building, its more like a gymnasium. Seats arent bad, it doesnt hold a lot, which is nice for people who dont like large crowds. Adequate amount of bathrooms. It isnt a bad place to go for shows, beats driving to Tulsa or Kansas City. There is a large parking building just down the street, paid $10 to park. Easy in and out.

If I could less than a star I would. Never in over 25 years have I been treated so poorly or hurt on purpose by staff at a concert. I was not only ignored when asking for help, but was then physically injured by staff for being able to move when they demanded me to. I was treated as if I was massive full grown violent man instead of as the 112 lb injured female I was. The staff was poorly trained, lacked any communication with one another, and the venues itself blew. By the end of the night I was requiring medical attention due to a fractured hand, multiple contusions and cuts, and because I was left outside for over an hour in below freezing temperatures. NEVER again will I attend any show there.

Went to a rock concert here on a warm May evening. My main take-away is that this venue was not air conditioned. High windows were open to catch the cross breeze but that wasnt steady so it was a hot and sweaty night! Free parking was available in surrounding lots. The building is older, looks like a mosque on the outside and an old school gymnasium on the inside with a stage at one end and ascending built-in seats surrounding the open floor. The womens restroom was small (4 or 6 stalls), one sink and no mirror. There may have been other restrooms but I dont think so based on the layout. A concession area is built in under the ascending seating.

First of all, don’t buy row A in any section because you absolutely cannot see due to the general admission crowd. Tickets were 175 dollars a piece. Had we known we couldn’t see, we would have bought cheap General admission. The other big kicker was no air conditioning. We sweat all night long. The building is run down and overall just isn’t a good concert venue. Would suggest going anywhere else to see a show, especially for 175 a ticket for seats.

Not a real mosque of corse but a great venue for events. Was built in the early 1900s by the Shriners when the Far East style of architecture was popular in large cities. Seating is great and so are Acoustics but needs better ventilation.

Attended Turnpike Troubadours show here. Acoustics were terrible! Also, you needed to obtain a wristband and tokens to buy alcohol--none of which was clear. Wound up standing in FIVE lines before I could get a drink. A total mess. Also, the bathrooms were not maintained at all. Wont be coming back.

This is a beautiful building that isnt used as much as it should be. They host special events there and used 2 have the circus and concerts there. I have not been inside it for many years. I believe that the Shriners used to use it for their events to raise funds to help the sick children that needed help with medical issues. Its one of many beautiful historic buildings in our town.

Please get with the times and get air conditioning! Went to a breaking Benjamin concert and could barely breathe it was so hot inside. I wont go see a show there again. If you have to have a medic on hand at concerts constantly taking people outside from heat exhaustion, I would say thats a red flag.

This place has went completely down hill. You can have your smokes with you and hide what ever you want in the pack, but you cant have your vape. So plain words, its alright to sneak a nasty smelling cig, but not alright to sneak your cotton candy in. Now #2, wont let a young lady carry her back pack in that barely has anything in it except for necessities (a small enough back pack, to call it a purse.) Unless they are a little older with big tatas, then its alright if they bring a backpack in full of stuff.

The only things I didnt like were the tiny bathrooms, along with how hot and smoky the place was. They need to keep some windows open in the Auditorium or ppl have to keep going outside for fresh air. Also dont like that they keep your caps from the drinks you buy, bc a lot of times you need those when trying to jump or dance to the Concerts. Also, they need to have a better area for smokers. You shouldnt have to stand in the frigid cold to take a few drags off a smoke. Oh yeah, and those ppl who paid for GA have to stand inside a tiny square on the floor, literally ass to ass against ppl. & that is unacceptable. Also wish the Shrine would have more variety of Musicians and even Stand Up Comedians, but so far they really dont. =/
