Mallory is wonderful! I live in Texas and come to Springfield to visit family. Mallory has done my sisters hair for years and will always work to squeeze me in for services when I’m in town. Very skilled, super sweet! Mojo Pie is a crazy-funky salon and I love going in there. It’s a blast just to look at all the art, the architecture, and enjoy the vibe!

I really enjoyed this place! Starting with the lovely receptionist Diana and my super talented hair stylist Mollye. She was able to deliver exactly what I needed. The history of the place and all the small details in the house made for a special time. On this occasion was in a hurry, but next time I want to stay longer and really explore the different areas of this beautiful bohemian style building.I will be back and recommend this place for anyone who wants to relax and experience good vibes.

If you need your curls (or your hair) to be taken seriously.... Go to Jaime!! Id been seeing a different hair stylist who advertised to specialize in curly hair since I decided to embrace my natural hair again. While she was wonderful, there was just something... Not clicking for me. Jaime took her time with me, made sure to study my hair AND my cut, made changes where she needed to and ensured I was taken care of to the fullest before I walked out the door. You could tell shes a professional, who has had plenty of experience and knows her stuff.On top of the wonderful experience...she ended up charging me half of the price of the high-end salon for a higher quality cut my hair has ever seen. Its been two weeks and I just love it every day. Thank you to Jaime, I wont go to anybody else.The environment of the salon is warm, inviting, professional, and clean. The staff was all very nice, especially the receptionist, and I was able to visit with the owner for a little bit who was very pleasant to talk to. I will recommend this place to anybody! Im so thankful I checked it out and I cant wait to go back!!!

Jaime has been my hairdresser for the last 5 years. She is great and I love being in this beautiful space!

Although the shop itself is beautiful and the stylist was very kind, the service was absolutely terrible. Asked for a simple A line bob and the stylist RUINED my hair. Cut it way too short in the back and did the layers upside down. Tried to cover up his mistake instead of telling me what was going on. I then asked for highlights and was charged $80 for them and there is... nothing to show for it. I had to pay for an entirely new haircut from somewhere else a week later where the stylist told me her professional explanation for what he had done to my hair. The worst part is that he was the owner. I tried calling with no answer to ask for some kind of compensation so I could use it for fixing my hair but no way to contact them other than phone. I am in the military and I feel they knew I would not be coming back therefor taking advantage of me. Extremely disappointed.

She knew I was nervous going to a new stylist. My hair is short so mistakes are costly. She was so amazing! What a breath of fresh air! So glad I finally did it! There are so many wonderful things I could say about this AMAZING place!!! First you are greeted by the nicest woman I think Ive ever met, Diana when you call or come in! As a walk-in, first time client who only wanted a last minute wash and style, I couldnt believe how kind and accommodating she was! Then the stylist, Jaime wasnt expected in until 11am, but when Diana called her to see if she was willing to come in early at 10am, she was happy to do so! She did a fabulous job on my style and both made me feel so welcome. The energy in this place is so uplifting with the oils diffusing and all of the eclectic decor. I cant wait to come back!!!

Mojo Pie is absolutely the best salon EVER! Myself and two children have been going to Heather for over 5 years. My daughter has done almost every fantasy color imaginable, and each one was beautifully executed. We love coming and visiting with her, and the changes in the salon are beautiful. Also! Mo Jo Pie is great I get my nails done there and Shanna is the best! I’ve gone to her for many years and followed her to Mo Jo Pie when she changed salons. She does acrylic for me but she also does gel and all the other types. She keeps up with trends and goes to continuing education seminars on styles for hair and nails.The staff there are very friendly. Try them, you won’t be disappointed! It’s a fun funky atmosphere- not your cookie cutter salon.

Do NOT go to Mojo Pie. Told the lady what I wanted and she said it would be too much upkeep for me (I wanted black). So I had her dye it dark brown, and after she finished dying it, she proceeded to tell me I could have dyed it black, I would just have to come back in about 5 weeks. What the hell? I would have been fine with that. Not only that, but she was super sloppy about getting the dye on my face and didn’t even bother trying to wash it off. She then proceeded to way over charge me $160. I’m a college student and DO NOT have that kind of money. My normal hair stylist charges $80. Do NOT get your hair dyed here!

Really wanted to love my time here. Location is great, salon is beautiful and unique. Mollye was my hairdresser. She didnt listen to my feedback on my hair at all. When it was finished, I told her I would like it shorter, she told me to sit with it for a few days and call her back if I still wasnt satisfied. She didnt take the time to brush off all the tiny hairs all over my arms from her cut. Just felt like she was bothered to even work on me in the first place. As a single mom, spa day getaways are so few and far between. Left feeling very disappointed and guilty for spending money on such a poor experience.

I was excited to find a place that does an excellent job with nails. I had previously went to an Asian place where they basically filed all your nail off and had written off ever getting my nails done again. Shanna Stark is awesome and I highly recommend her! I had been meaning to surprise my sweet wife Pamela with an appointment for a cut, color, and hair style for a few months by the time I actually got around to it; bless her heart. Shes so patient..She didnt want to go to the last place she had a style done because she had a less than stellar experience and I knew, because I had procrastinated so long, that she deserved nothing but the best. I didnt know anything about Mojo-Pie as I dialed their number and certainly didnt think they could get her in quickly but due to a cancellation, they were able to schedule her for 6pm the same day! Even better news was that none other than Tony, the founder and owner of Mojo-Pie would be the one she saw! We had already had a fair share of wow factor before we even pulled into the parking lot of the large, stone building with its whimsical neon sign. There was more of that waiting for us when we walked through the door into a space I can only describe with the photographs I posted. It was fantastic but the best part was the people we met inside. Tony accurately interpreted what Pamela wanted her hair to look and he was so accessible and knowledgeable about his craft that he made it seemed effortless. I know professionalism when I see it and Tony exemplifies the word. He was cool with me photographing his business while he styled Pamelas hair and when we left we both had the distinct feeling that we had just experienced something special. It seemed like the hair style was just an added bonus to the main thing: the experience! I want to spare some details so you all can find out for yourself what Im talking about but you really shouldnt sell yourself short next time youre looking for a service like this, call Mojo-Pie and have an experience that you will want to repeat, an experience that you can keep with you when you leave. The style she got was top tier and Tony offered to give her styling advice any time she wanted to call in the future. It was mazing customer service. Thanks Mojo-Pie! Youve made regulars of us!

Prices are reasonable, the care and services provided are definitely worth every penny. I can get a hair cut anywhere, but I refuse to go anywhere else for style. Ive been a patron of Mojo Pie for over a decade now, and I have never received anything less than extraordinary services. They do great things for both women AND men, I highly recommend!

I have type 3A thick, curly hair that I have never known what to do with. Past hairdressers have always treated it differently, even going so far as to straighten it before they cut and thinned it. I walked into Mojo Pie Salon not knowing what I needed but knowing that I needed a better cut for my hair.Haley K. was my hairdresser and I left everything up to her with the stipulation that my hair keep its long length and still can be easily braided. Haley went above and beyond in her work and treatment for my hair. She washed, diffused, and when I told her I felt that one side of my hair - where it was the thickest - didnt feel quite right, she was able to interpret what I meant and fixed that side. Unlike past hair dressers, she didnt thin my hair - something she said was inappropriate for my hair type - instead she texturized it with a fantastic cut to where my curls sprang to life. I walked out feeling great.Of course the real test always comes days later when I am left to my own styling devices. Haley gave me knowledge on what I needed to hydrate my curls and keep them healthy when I admitted that I am lazy and prefer to air dry my hair. Im happy to say that days later I am still getting the same thick, springy curls that I had when I walked out of the salon. Haley gave me the right cut and confidence to accept my big, curly hair and I couldnt be happier.

I have been going to Mojo Pie for over 10 years and love everything about it. All of the stylists are very personable and friendly and I love the atmosphere.

I used to get perms every year. Curly hair was my look. About 4 years ago I decided to take a break and let my hair be. Then last summer I tried to get my hair permed again by a place called Ihloff salons. They tried 3 times and I was unsatisfied everytime. I asked for a tight curl and barely got a body wave. I waited another year and decided to just drive back to Springfield Missouri to my tried and true hairstylist, Tony Rolo Owens Venute at Mojo Pie Salon. He knows exactly what i want and how to do my hair. My entire family goes to this salon and everyone there is fantastic!First group of pictures is the unsatisfied perms and the second group is from Mojo Pie!

Ive been going to Rachel now for quite a while and she is great! Love the look of the salon, lots of delightful things all about and none of the Science Lab look most salons have. Im greeted and offered a beverage as soon as I walk in. Im nearly always early to appointments and Mojo has the best waiting area...sometimes I just want to curl up on a comfy seat with a half dozen magazines and stay for the day!

I didnt think a salon would ever look or feel like this place. Eclectic and bohemian are definitely apt descriptors for its atmosphere and the staff; this is definitely not a SuperCuts or a Regis/mall salon.That said, this is a fantastic salon. The staff was very kind and open, and are genuinely interested in helping you maintain great hair, skin and nails. The owner exudes kindness, I was lucky enough to have him do my hair and facial wax when I went there on relatively short notice. Both him and the other staff I saw working there were highly skilled and efficient. My usually-complex-for-other-hairdressers cut was done in minutes by Tony, even with him demonstrating different techniques and explanations of choice in the various stages of my haircut/styling. Ive never really experienced such attention to my preferences and habits.

I read a review on Yelp about the hairdresser who did my hair and Id have to strongly agree with the bad review. Did the opposite of what I wanted. He was sloppy. I literally got botched highlights that looked green and grey. YES, GREEN AND GREY!!! My hair looked so AWFUL I had to wear a HAT to work the next day to save the embarrassment. I left the salon looking like Halle Berry when she played Storm on X-Man!!! I asked for highlights not white hair. It was a waste of my time and money. I wouldnt recommend this place. Failed to mention they only cared more about vaping than CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. While I was waiting for my hair to process I sat and watched another stylist blow her smoke from her vape into another customers face...I thought to myself, how rude.

This salon is so old fashion in the way it looks and how they do hair! I Usually go to Studio 417 Salon but my stylist was sick that day so I called many salons and Mojo Pie was the only one that can get me in. My stylist at Mojo Pie was Bebe and she kept bragging about how she has been a stylist for 20 years. I showed her an inspiration picture of an ombre I wanted (I was fine with something similar too) just as long as It was lighter towards the end of my hair. During the process, I was asking her why she was putting foils and bleaching at the roots of my hair instead of the ends and she responded thats how she was blending it in. I just sat there and let her do my hair since she said shes been doing hair for a while. After she blow dried my hair, I did not like how it turned out ( I had a feeling it wasnt going to when she was putting those foils at my roots) I even mentioned it to her and she was trying to rush me out by saying just give it a couple of days and see how you like it I called the next day to ask her to fix it but she wasnt working so I left the message along with my number for her to contact me. I thought it was unprofessional that she texted me instead of calling me with the business phone. She wanted to argue with me through text and say she was going to charge me to fix it! This was the biggest mistake going to a salon last minute without looking up reviews first. I do not recommend going to Mojo Pie Salon.
