It was my first time visiting The National Art Shop and it won’t be my last! Weber assisted me in finding supplies. He gave me suggestions that were in my budget, and great tips! Everything was well priced too. The customer service great! Check this place out, you won’t be disappointed!

Great place to browse for all of your art needs.

I seriously love this shop. Their staff is super friendly/helpful and the quality/prices of their products is way better than the big chain art stores here in town. I also had a custom frame done by them and it was beautiful. If you havent checked them out yet, youre missing out!

The shop itself is nice with quality inventory. However, unlike previous reviewers, my first visit to National Art Shop was tainted by Weber. Weber was apathetic to our requests for his expertise - and this extended to both me and my son. Weber had an overall lack of willingness to assist. I strive to support locally owned small businesses....I just wish I would have had the same good experience as other reviewers.

I adore this store! Always something new and exciting to appreciate. Le Pens are top notch!

I was raised in a customer service family which seems to be something that has disappeared I was shopping for a 12 year old great nephew that is liking art and I had very good customer service very helpful and explain very well persis is not something I shop for on a regular basis but it seems like it would be costly to be into art very helpful Im at the 60 year-old mark and have no children so I only have nieces and nephews

This place is absolutely fabulous!!! I have NEVER had a bad experience with work or service. They are the best in Springfield hands down.

The ladies that were working were a wonderful help. I have mental health issues and they got me to what I wanted and out quickly. I have never been to this store before. Prices were very reasonable for it being a art store only.

The manager was very kind, patient, & understanding. Its like he knew exactly what I needed because hes an artist too.Ill be going back soon.

An excellent array of supplies at normal prices. They also have a great selection of lovely, funky, or curious gift items. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I found everything I needed and more. They are also a frame shop and can help you with those needs.You can get some of these supplies online or at big box stores but the prices are similar and its nice to be able to put my money into a local business.

This place is amazing they have everything from sketchbooks to paints to pencil to pens to markers to cases there is so much there. The staff is always really nice and helpful. Would recommend .

Only stopped by for a minute. I was feeling like a kid in a candy store. They literally have everything an artist could ever need or want and more. Super nice folks. We will definitely be going back when we have more time.

Really good variety of product. Seemed like they have trouble with shoplifters. I am 50 and my daughter is 14 and they watched us like hawks.

The employees here are very nice and always helpful, especially when you are looking for art supplies for a specific art class at Mo State. Still, I cant help but feel like everything is just a little more expensive here. Maybe its just my imagination. Its business hours are also not the most convenient.

I was looking for quality, but reasonably priced, epoxy resin. They carry two kinds and multiple sizes. The man there was very helpful and knowledgeable. This store is packed with art supplies, especially hard to find items. Ill be back.

This store is any artist dream. I fell in love with this store the moment I walked in. I wish I was wealthy so I could just buy all the things I wanted in here! Love it.

They have about everything you would need for a project. Staff is helpful. It has an intimate, old-school feel. Their supplies can be a bit.more expensive than. Hobby Lobby, but they carry the best brands of pens and inks and brushes.

Nice store, not just art supplies, and a very patient and helpful staff for a very limited knowledge shopper attempting to find the perfect gift.

Store was very well kept and clean on the inside and the outside lot as well. Was able to receive assistance in finding the item I was searching for within moments of entering the store. Staff walked me to the proper area and provided advice on selection of product. Will return again for hobby craft needs.

The people here are awesome and the store offers supplies you can’t get at other places, definitely recommend to anyone needing art supplies!

They have a great selection, but way overpriced and followed me around like I was a thief. Very disrespectful in that regard.

Me and a friend came into the store because we wanted to visit but didnt have the time until recently. Me and friend are African American and didnt have a good store experience. We were being watched and followed around the store, after constantly telling the workers we didnt need help. The store is nice but the treatment towards customers; not so much.

Great place to shop. Quality products at an affordable price. Excellent customer service. They know about the products they sell and take the time to answer your questions. Custom framing is superb from sales to finish. All work is done by experienced personnel who are experts in their field.

They follow you around and watch you like your gonna steal from them I used to spend at least 5 grand a year there I have worked as an artist for over 25 yrs and now order everything online after an incident where one of the employees came up behind me and grab stuff out of my hands and time with them keep it up at the register they are well overpriced but it was convenient but they have lost my business permanently

Even if it is a little pricey, it is worth it to support a business that truly cares about their customer and is invested in their work. Very happy with my experience and will be returning!

National Art Shop has a plethora of art supplies. A lot of quality items at good prices. Perfect for a committed artist! Love the charcoal selection as well as the multiple colors of drawing paper available! They had black, grey, and tan in stock in multiple sizes!

Im not even sure where to begin when describing National Art Shop. This place has everything you could possibly need for any kind of art you could want to produce. The staff were extremely knowledgeable in many, MANY different forms of Art! I am a pastels/chalk/pencil artist from Las Vegas and I have not seen a selection like theirs since I was back home in Nevada! The store had a fantastic layout, everything is grouped very nicely according to style and media and in every section the peripherals selection was just out of this world. The only downside to this store and it may just be because of the area that we are in was the pricing was 10 to 15% higher than anywhere Ive been -which is to be expected- in a destination area like Springfield. You may pay a tiny bit more for the huge selection but they more than make up for it in professionalism, quality, quantity, and good old-fashioned know how!

Great place, so much stuff, literally all you could ever ask for in an art store. However, is it possible for staff to be too helpful? My mom and I go in periodically, she is artistic she knows what she is looking for and wants to browse since she is from out of town. The staff are up on you at every turn and kind of over explain to my mom as if she is elderly.. which appears disrespectful and rude. She might spend a while looking at the various kinds of paint pens and choosing colors but gets watched as if she is pocketing something. Nothing wrong with observant staff but sometimes its a matter of asking for help if you need it beyond the initial greeting. But its a fun place. We like it!

Bought an electrified magnifying glass, and template. Really like their service and the large inventory. My wife buys cards every time we visit our daughter here in Springfield. Were from Oklahoma.

Support this store; the prices may scare you, but Hobby Lobby and the like mark up just as high for mediocre supplies and small selection, as they mostly focus on crafts and decor. This shop has actual variety and selection in supplies, and informed staff.

Small, but vetted selection. Much better quality than one can get at Michaels or Hobby Lobby, but the price is much higher also. Great selection of books and cards. Best place in town for serious art supplies. Staff is always asking if you need help, which is nice - but makes me feel as if I am being watched the whole time.

Just picked up my wife’s diploma and I’m can honestly say I’m very pleased with the service both when I came first to get the custom frame picked out and also when I came for pickup. I even gave the gentleman to much money and he handed me back my money without hesitation. Thank you

The staff are absolutely fabulous and their selection of art supplies is great for COLORBOOK coloring or art students!

They were very helpful and kind! I had a list of school supplies and one of the workers walked around with me to find it all.

Amazing service, some things are a little pricey, but overall its worth it for the knowledge the wonderful owners have. Nice to know I can walk in and know that no matter what Im trying to find theyll be able to help me out in finding it.

Literally was just in there and this old man followed me around the whole time I was just browsing. I even showed them I had money and wasnt planning on stealing anything I have a job and am really upset to have to deal with being labeled as a thief before I even did anything. So beware before you go into this place
