Overall experience was great ! Employees were friendly and they had a nice selection of trees! There was this one lady who helped us her name was Stacy she was amazing and her suggestions was awesome 10/10 recommended.

They have a great staff and great select. There’s a massive variety on just about everything they carry and they can order a bunch of things they don’t always carry!We went for a hand full of river stones and left with 30 lbs haha.There’s signage, chairs benches rock and mulch, plans and water features and if you go inside there’s a ton of gardening accessories too.

Excellent service, a great Christmas tree selection, and some awesome and friendly pups. Will definitely be back.

I visited this place Yesterday with no expectations. I’m a 28 year old looking to learn more about plants but I had no idea where to start. When I walked up I’m sure I looked confused with the overwhelming selection of plants and landscaping materials but in seconds I was greeted with smiles. I felt all the questions I have are silly but they made me feel comfortable asking everything I needed to know about getting plants for my small balcony patio. When I explained where I would be setting up I was instantly educated on citronella and all its natural benefits so now I don’t have to RELY on fake citronella candles anymore :) At this point I was completely pumped up and felt full of new knowledge. What impressed me most was how encouraging they are about growing your OWN fresh veggies. Of course I’ve thought about doing that but didn’t know how to achieve that in an apartment without a yard. They simplified this so much and I left with green peppers, banana peppers, and basil with pots for them all. Long story short they are AMAZING! Go here for all your plant needs. It’s a true experience.

We went to J&J with a vague concept of what we wanted to do with a flower bed in our yard. The supervisor talked to us and made some recommendations about plants, knew the spacing of each type from memory, and had pictures of the plants in different beds to show us what they could end up looking like. The plants were delivered on time and scheduled the mulch to be delivered the next day. Service was great, staff was knowledgeable, and the trip went quickly. Also picked up a few stones to fill in our bordering gaps.

I’m so happy my boyfriend and I decided to check this place out! They have a bunch of plants behind tarps to keep warm while they have the christmas trees out for sale! I asked if they carried any pothos plants and was guided to this paradise of green I was able to get exactly what I wanted at an excellent price and with amazing service! Also, one of the employees took a picture for us and that was super sweet! We will be going back for any of our plant-related needs.

Overpriced Christmas trees and rude staff. Our normal tree place isnt selling this year so we came to JJs. Terrible experience but we purchased anyway to save from going to a third place. The trees we got were pretty but next year well just go cut our own.

Excellent customer service, I was desperate for a Chiminea for a Christmas gift, and when I called they informed me that another shipment would be in the next day and took my info down...The next day, they randomly sent me a picture of what they had in stock! Not many companies would go above an beyond like that! And my boyfriend loved it!Thank you again!

I was planning on re-doing my front flower beds. I went J & J on 2920. Stephanie helped me redesign my beds. She helped me select the plants and flowers I needed to use. She also could tell from my pictures my grass needed help. She helped me with fertilizer and told me when and what I should use. My grass looks better than it has since Harvey.

Great customer service!!! Every single person there is super nice and helpful. I went there for landscaping stones and was very impressed with their wide variety of sizes and types of stone. I was completely satisfied with my stones, and I will definitely go back for yard decor and plants in the future.

Best Christmas tree shopping experience in ten years!They attended to us as soon as we pulled in! Not in a pushy way either, just showing us where all the different trees were. When we found a couple we liked, they brought both of them in to better lighting ( it was dark already) and let us pick which one we liked best. They gave the tree a fresh cut and helped me strap it to the car. In and out in less than 30 min!Will recommend to all of my friends! Thanks again J&J nursery!

Amazing customer service and help. I went to pick up some rock for my aquarium. They had a lot of different rock to choose from and the price was awesome! I paid around $30 for 77 pounds of stone. Which for aquarium rock is dirt cheap. They also had a lot for my next outdoor project at the right price! Will be back! 100% recommend them.

I LOVE JandJ and the entire staff! Though they are not the closest place to me, but I will continue to use them for every landscaping need. Why? First and foremost, they are genuinely friendly and helpful (they ACTUALLY listen to your needs!) Secondly, their prices are great! And last but not least, their selection is incredible! I noticed some cool natural moss rock and stone benches and fell in love. Would you believe I got one (priced by weight) for 92 bucks? Wonderful!! I brought flower pots to paint for mothers day, and I was encouraged to come back to get flowers for them. When I returned, the flowers were planted for me, and I was even able to borrow a paint pen for something I forgot to add. Very nice, great prices, and great products!! I would suggest you come here if you need plants, yard decor, or home decorations. and best of all, my mom and mother in law LOVED the pots and flowers. I will return!!

Love coming here for my landscaping projects every summer. Great selections from stone, rocks, soil, mulch, grass, outdoor decor and flowers! Customer service is great, note they can get busy... be patient. If not busy and cant find anyone around see their clerk inside she will get you help.4 stars because we were charged for hand picking Mexican rock!?, when we only needed half a pallet and in order to get half the guy had to take out the rocks by hand (which we helped him do as well). Anyhow still love the place.

Went to JJs with the hope of starting a garden. Knew pretty much nothing about gardening. Just went there and asked for advice. Found Stephanie, and she really helped. Took a lot of notes. And now a few months later my daughters and I love picking the fresh tomatoes and strawberries. My wife loves making pico with the cilantro, onions, and tomatos. And we are looking forward to the potatos, watermelon, and canteloupe that are coming in nicely. The whole staff was very helpful, but thanks to Stephanie for taking care of us the most!

Stumbled accross this jewel last weekend. They have really unique plants and incredibly awesome service. I was there earlier in the day and Ron took his time going over several options that fit my space. When I went back right at closing time, Stacy and her crew cheerfully let me in and helped me load my car with more plants than should have fit! I will definitely make this my go to plant nursery.

This is my new favorite place! The people who work here are so kind and knowledgeable and they have been such a great resource. I have a fiddle-leaf fig that was showing some peculiar symptoms in the foliage and needed a nursery with the knowledge to help me make it well. I came mainly for aquarium rocks. Typical fish stores will inflate their prices on rocks, but I got a good selection for dirt cheap (no pun intended). Wonderful helpful staff. Dont forget to give some love to the pooch.

We were in need of some new landscaping for our front yard. I took a few pictures, and Mary at J&J Nursery was able to assist us with what we needed. She recommended several shrubs and plants that worked perfect for our landscape. You are the greatest, Mary! Their prices are reasonable as well for the quality of plants they have.

Ive been their loyal customer for over 2 years now. They have really good bank sand, bull rock, and excellent quality St. Augustine grass.

Went to buy river rocks. Had to talk to 4 people before I found someone that could help. They keep redirecting me. The 4th guy was super helpful with the rocks. Then went to pay for that and a honeysuckle vine. Three ladies rang up my purchases all while talking to someone else. I finally approach the sales counter when the previous lady left and figure out that they had rang up several other plants and some fertilizer with it. I made them reverse the charges and redo the sale correctly. They said that the fertilizer was recommended for me and were irritated that I did not want to spend $90+ on items that I did not request nor want. No apology. They were mad at me for making them fix their substantial error. Such a strange experience.

At J & J Nursery I found everything I needed to build a raised bed in my backyard. I bought chopped stone, compost, and soil, which were delivered on the day and at the time promised, and the delivery people did an excellent job. Then I went back for herbs and flowers and found everything I wanted at a reasonable price. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable.

I stumbled upon J & J today and I cannot be happier that I found this gem! Not only were the staff attentive and knowledgeable, but they were understanding of my boisterous children and patient of my numerous gardening questions. They were prompt, helpful and at the end boxed and helped my plants out to my car, including providing plastic drop mats to save my trunk from fallen dirt. I look forward to visiting again when my garden needs additional supplies!

B quite disappointed that when I googled; firewood, it recommended J & J. So, I drove across town (roughly ten miles) and picked up 20 pieces of oak. A little more than Im used to paying, but the pieces were fairly large. To my amazement; when I decided to split it few pieces, for kindling, I found that the wood hadnt been properly dried. Too far to drive 20 miles, round trip, so I have learned a lesson. I hope you have too. Its now evening and I am having a rough time getting my fire, using J&J firewood, to burn. Unseasoned wood. Sad that someone with a good reputation, would sell this as firewood. Probably, just cut the tree a couple of days ago.

Amazing customer service! This was my first time looking for landscaping products so I went to 5 different places. Out of those 5 this was the only place that actually wanted to help. They listened to what I wanted and worked with me to make it happen. They went above and far beyond to get the exact Mexican beach pebbles that I wanted. Not only that, they have expansive knowledge on all types of landscaping. They gave me great advice and recommendations on plants and accent boulders. They seem to have a real passion for their work and their customers.

Awesome place! I drive all the way up from the Museum District to get landscaping supplies for my back yard projects. Selection is very large, theres nothing Ive thought of that they dont have and service is very fast & friendly. Theyll help load up things for you as well.

Had a great experience buying landscape boulders. Stacy came out and placed the rocks. But she took the care to place them how I wanted them, but gave her advice. Will definitely be back for other outdoor needs. Oh, and buy a chimenea, its worth it!

Love this place. We drive past three nurseries closer to us just to come here. Good selection and great staff. The owner and a saleperson made suggestions and got our yard looking great. We know very little about what we wanted and we just showed them a picture and told them a little about colors we wanted, maintenance we were willing and able to do, direction of the house, etc. They picked out all the stuff and it all went very well together. I went there today to pick up some limestones to put around my tree, I am VERY picky, but Helio picked one by one by hand, even opened a different pallet for me, so I could choose from that one, he told me how to break it with a chisel, did a great job, very customer oriented and Becky was also great at the checkout! Ill never go to Home Depot to buy yard supplies ever gain! Great place!

THE ONLY PLACE I will ever go! I was there this AM needing majior help with my front landscaping. I forgot to get the amazing womans name who helped me ️, but she was not only willing, but excited. She helped me design and listen to my ideas. I was so over whelmed attempting it to do it myself. She knew her plants and saved me money by choosing some on sale. I went off reviews and it was 100% correct. This is the nursery to go too for sure! Dont forget to bring Marley (the nursery dog) french fries!

Ive been getting fireworks here for 4th of July and new years since around 2000. They have many fireworks stands set up twice a year. They still have the best prices, are knowledgeable about all their fireworks, and honest. Check them out. Well worth it
