My son had the pleasure of attending his guest training a week ago. He loved every part of it. The fish was great and easy to talk to. The ladies at the intake table were kind and respectful. Although it is a drive for me, my son will be attending again.

My daughter started with Nemesis early in CY2019. She was able to start from almost zero and be ready for Junior High Basketball Team Tryouts and be selected to the team. This show how focused is the Nemesis Team. The coaches for 6/7/8 grades are amazing and Monty is a great Athletic Director. Practices and Skills classes keep pushing students for their best. Weekend tournaments helps kids be more confident in what to improve and to be a team player. I strong recommend Nemesis for your kids.

My son wanted to tryout for basketball at school, he had never played. I spoke with Monty and put him in Nemesis.Today, my son is by far not perfect, but everything that he has learned has been from Nemesis. Within a few months he went from knowing zero to making the school basketball team, it would have never happened without Nemesis. All of the staff is great! Absolutely worth every dime I spent!!

Been with Nemesis for 3 years and time after time I have seen players and parents leave because of the lack of properly giving kids the right chance to develop as their motto says. This is more of a cash cow team what I see all these years. They win tournaments with kids that don’t come to practice till they leave to go to real teams where they do are required to attend practice. If this organization go to a real tournament they might not do as good since management is not interested in developing kids rather just pulling players that can win. Bottom line if you want to your kid to develop don’t bring them here because you will be pouring money without getting appreciated. If you do, make sure you only pay for practice and tournament fees. Don’t pay the registration fee it does not give you anything back and they have know facilities. That money goes straight to the owners pocket. So after 3 loyal years pouring over $2000 in fees and bs registration fees that are about $250 and never offer a stable team because good players leave and go to a real team, we are also leaving and I hope this note can help you make a decision of not being part of this organization. The payment was made this May first for $250 to start the season NOT from previous season. We are leaving because Nemesis only choose to look out for itself and don’t develop kids. There are not one single kid that have been there that long. Hence they need the money to sponsor kids maybe

I have worked for Nemesis for the past 2 years and have seen nothing but great things with this organization. Their number one goal is the players! They have a developmental team that works mainly with the players who have never played or wasnt taught properly. The owners work closely with the tournament teams to help them develop into better players to help them reach their own goals.....to play HIGH SCHOOL ball.

We are very impressed with Nemesis Athletics. As veterans of select basketball, we can definitely say that this is a very well organized, well coached, high level basketball program. If you have a child that is interested in taking their basketball game to a higher level, Nemesis Athletics has a variety of opportunities to achieve this, including regular 1.5 hour practices, skills sessions, semi-private, and private instruction. We also were impressed the opportunities to play regular tournaments. We are excited to be a part of this high-level select/AAU basketball program.

Disappointed.... i am not sure where these top notch coaches are but cant seem to find any of them. Theres no team dynamic, the coaching thats been done, at least for the 8th graders has been sub-par. Again, please tell me where these great coaches are because I cannot seem to find one.

Both my Son and Daughter have been playing Basketball with Nemesis for several months now and they both love it! The Coaches work really well with the kids and the Parent connection is one of the best that I have experienced in a long time. This AAU Team believes in giving any kid the opportunity to advance their skills and making them feel like they are part of a Team.

Kids from K-12th from all areas of North Houston coming together to play Basketball and stay out of Trouble. Some are fundraising to pay their way while others pay their way, They have lots of teams! I saw one post from another lady who has no clue about how club ball works. Some kids cant afford to travel and organizations like Nemesis help them play in something they could not otherwise afford. Nemesis fundraisers are all over and they get support from lots of great people and companies.

My son has been with Nemesis basketball for 3 years and has had a great experience! We started with them to get a higher level training to prepare for the very competitive McCullough JH team tryouts and his improvement and experience has been amazing! He made the team both years and has now made the freshman team at TWHS! But as a mom, even more valuable than just the fundamental and technical training he gets every week, is the team camaraderie and friendships hes made with so many kids, many of whom also attend his school. The experience hes gotten through Nemesis as a part of their team family and interacting socially with teammates, opponents and coaches has been invaluable!

Review №33

This is the worst basketball program that my son has ever participated in his 5 years of playing. They nickel and dime you at every turn by making you pay for each practice you attend, each game you play, in addition to the over $1500 you pay for registration. It makes them at least a thousand dollars more expensive than any other AAU basketball team around. They tell everyone they made the team and push you to pay up front. Beware! Your childs team will have 12-18 players on it instead of the normal 7-10 players. Coaching is the worst Ive seen and they play the older kids down in a tournament to compete against the younger age kids which is so unethical! I was shocked that they entered our 5th grade team to compete in a 4th grade tournament - talk about cheating! There are 2 other kids on our new basketball team that left nemesis as well and both had an awful experience. And, they will never refund your money by the way- even if you ask for a refund 2 days later. Such a scam organization that only cares about the money and not the child. And all their glowing reviews on here are from their own workers so beware.

Wish I could give a ZERO star review for these idiots...Terrible in every aspect, from the athletic director that is CLUELESS, to the coaches that have no idea how to spell basketball.I would NOT recommend anyone in search of an AAU basketball league to join. Trust me on this, there are lots of other places out there, stay away from these morons at Nemesis.

Before you join, make sure you read the negative reviews. Despite reading them, we thought wed give it a try.Be sure you are clear that in addition to the stated charges, there is a fee of $15 per person per day to watch the games. This is on top of the $35 one day tournament fee, which is higher for multiple days. Playing time is not guaranteed. If your player is a sub (more were subs than not) and you have 4 family members attending. The cost is 4x$15=$60 door fee, $35 tournament fee, lets say $5 for gas/food. Total $100. One mom said her player played 8 total minutes for two games. They would have to go to 7 1/2 tournaments to see an hour of play. That would cost $750 ($100 x 7 1/2) to see an hour of play. This is NOT listed in their fees, which also includes NONREFUNDABLE practice fees, annual fee and uniform fee. GAMES NOT GUARANTEED. PLAYING TIME NOT GUARANTEED. DIDNT PLAY A SINGLE MINUTE IN 6 MONTHS.Many, many promises and excuses, but NEVER played a game, not even a practice game. During that time she missed one Tournament due to vacation. The team took 12 players, so the team consisted of a lot of subs. Why not form two teams and let everyone play more? The $300 non refundable uniform has been worn once on a Uniform Day at School. The league fee is non refundable even if you never play a game.If they do a fund raiser, read it carefully. The one they did while my granddaughter was there said the funds go to them with no benefit to outside charities or to your account.Ive been around youth sports for over 50 years, Ive never ever come across a sports organization, that doesnt conduct games in their respective sports in a timely and repetitive manner for all players. Doesnt have to be a fancy tournament, in basketball, all it takes is a ball and 10 kids wanting to play a game.Practice days and times may change after you sign up, so dont count on them staying the same.Ive omitted other subjective issues and Ive tried to make this review as factual as possible. If you are comfortable, with all these facts, then consider joining.Edit for business response -Of course our views are different I specifically paid $600 (on top of practice fees) for my granddaughter to play basketball games and she never played in a game - NONE. On the other hand, you received money to provide games and kept the money even though she never played in a single game. Bad for me, good for you. Please be specific and state what is inaccurate in my post and I will fix my post. I brought you two players that could have been with Nemesis for 10 years, but its a fact in 6 months she didnt play one game of any kind - not a single attempt for a practice game. When I asked for the squad to be broken into two groups and play each other in a practice game, I was quickly told not enough players. We had 12. Even now with 14 players, why not enter two teams and let everyone play. There were many ways to provide game play and keep us in the program.Keep in mind that the future splitting of the team is only the most recent explanation (excuse?) we have heard for no games. For the first 3-4 months we were always told soon, next week. Now upon exiting, were told theres a LEAGUE FEE we didnt pay for her little sister in Lil Crushers for which there is positively NO games. We are not the only parent/guardian of Lil Crushers surprised by this.If your a basketball club that cant provide games for some players, why not encourage them to play elsewhere while you execute your process? When Willow considered playing a few games at MaxPro everyone was offended.Did you also know that Coach told Willow she was going to be captain of the team? Then I have to explain to Willow, they probably said that to everyone. At Willows last practice, I asked Willow at the water break, Do you want to stay? She said, No, I want to go home.On the positive side, the $8,000 a year I had budgeted for Nemesis is now free for other activities.
