I was here for the Paws and Claws arts and crafts fairs. It was a great set up . I wish there had been more vendors though. The venue is gorgeous, I hope the restaurant reopens soon, I would love to try it.

Love Silverthorn. Excellent layout and great course conditions. Third time playing and will again when the opportunity affords it. Its a two and a half hour drive, or else I would ay it religiously. Highly recommend playing here,at least once.

Called the pro shop this morning. 10-30-2020After reaching someone in the pro shop around 11am I was greeted very rudely. I went on to try and ask a question about a “hot deal” which I know is handled by GolfNow. I couldn’t even get my question out before being rudely told “hot deals are for Golfnow only” and then getting hung up on! I’ve never played this course and I won’t be playing it anytime in the future.

Are working there 5 days a week romantic beautiful development and establishment I have been in the country club itself and the poolside area its beautiful I take care of the grounds hows the community center and the entire establishment. And much more

Great place to play. Course is mostly great and they keep plenty of fresh water.

On December 28 I attended a beautiful gala, good attention, very lively, good music.

Havent played it yet but just tried to call and get information about where are the club actually is what is the closest hotel when I called the pro shop they put me on hold for half an hourMaybe because Im a womenVery sad ️Considering I grew up outside of DC and play at the most exclusive country clubs in the Washington DC area.I was never treated like I was today was just trying to find out exactly where they are and if they had hotel accommodations or if not what hotels are good hotels there are nearby.After spending too much time being put on hold and people that dont the answers to some very simple questions I would not recommend joining this club even though I have yet to play it which I want be

Ordered the tenderloin with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Was excellent choice and, the bloody Marys were great too. Janice Joplin was playing in the lounge and didnt do to bad either. Great place to unwind and, relaxed atmosphere.

Nice place, for the club house staff is awesome! Golf course, it has tons of potential but need a little support. Some areas are bad, but you can see that the couse could be beautiful. League play is great!!

Over the last 3 years I have been here about 8 times, usually for dinner. (They used to be open for dinner only on Wednesday and Saturday nights.)Today, I had lunch there; patty melt super dried out, few friend onions, very little cheese. However, the toasted bread was great, quite tasty. I was with others; those who had patty melts reported what I did, and upon asking those who had reubens, they said they tasted dried out too.The atmosphere is 5 star, the food is still 3 star.

Silverthorn is a deed restricted housing community. They rent out their gorgous country club to the public. They have hosted many high school proms and such. An elegant hall it is indeed.

Green grass and cold beer. Play the short T boxes and have fun.

Fairways are nice. Greens are fast. But got this birdie on 5.

Best place to play golf and live

Nice atmosphere but needs to do serious work on the restaurant. By 7:15 on a Saturday night they were sold out of Filet mignon AND rack of lamb. I had to ask for a glass of water 3 times and our bill was not correct and had to be fixed. Saturday is prime rib night, which they did have and upgraded us to a king size (from a queen) to make up for the shortages. We felt that was good customer service. The only vegetable offered for any meal (other than starches or salad) was asparagus.The prices are reasonable especially for wine $5. I will give them another try as they did attempt to give us a nice dining experience.

Only rated 3 stars because I normally rate with a critical eye and being from Michigan Im used to very different type of turf.

We went for lunch. Dining room practically empty. Great waitress. Ruben sandwiches were good. French fries were drowning in salt. Dead flies. Lovebugs need to be swept up. Overall observation of the entry, hallway, and ladies restroom area was that a good cleaning & fresh coat of paint is needed. (example:entry door to ladies restroom).It is sad to see a rundown condition present in a country club. Toilet seat in ladies handicapped restroom stall needs to be replaced. Remove dead lovebugs/flies. and the wallpaper needs to be replaced due to green marker vandalism.

Excellent greens. Reasonable prices. Would recommend to any golfer.

Food is phenomenal. Expensive for a brunch but worth it the food is the quality of a 5 star restaurant.with free bloodys! Yay!

Course in good condition. Greens were great. A couple of fairways have spots to fill in. Every staff person is friendly and professional.

It was busy but we didnt have to wait on any holes. Started on #10. The staff were friendly and helpful. The course was in good shape and they have large greens and plenty of sand traps. Nice pace of play and will return when in the area.

Service great good omelets but cool and dry food

A+ for layout, B+ for the greens, D+ for fairways.. all they have to do is let the grass grow a little longer. Ive played hundreds of courses. You guys can fix this, concrete hardness. Aerate, water and let the GRASS GROW. THIS PLACE HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL!!!!! GET ON IT!!!!!

Course is in great shape but staff care more about their leagues than daily pay players. Delayed 25 minutes from stated tee time due to a Saturday morning league running slow. All other guests shouldnt be adversely impacted because theyre running slow.

Had my daughters quinceañera there, the food was amazing, but it was very upsetting that the we only had two ladies running our party ... hostesses had no customer service / no party experiencewhen it came time to cut cake sing happy birthday there was no candles lighted, the toast was served from the beginning so it was not cold ... it was just a mess when it came time to the hostess!! we would look for her she was not in the ballroom!! FOOD WAS A+

The lay out of the course is great but the condition was bad. Played this course before dont recall it was in such bad shape before. They need to put some money into a irrigation system.

Decent layout. Good mixture of challenging holes and easy scoring holes. Its definitely a decent price for a decent course. Nothing to rave about, but Id recommend playing it if youre in the area.

Had a great Brunch, then the for week our Daughter had her prom there.

For the teeoff rate it was worth a one time try.the appearance initially is pleasing /inviting..the course layout was fair and challenging enough BUT the fairways, teeboxes,and rough all need serious attention..to much crabgrass and over growth...to many patchy tees and greens that arent rolled...and it needs some serious attention to ballmark repair...chips with any backspin or rollout got unwanted kickers..has the potential to be a really nice track...but for the rate I can stay closer to home and play better maintained courses...wont be returning anytime soon...dont waste the gas

I attend many events here. Always Top Notch! Service, attention to detail and Clubhouse is always a nice Venue for Weddings, Corporate Events, Conferences or Musical Entertainment. Beautiful surroundings, and if you are a Golfer, I hear one of the better courses in the area.

Very lucky to live right by here. Most people dont know that it is open to the public but it is.Go for lunch often and the menu is varied and reasonably priced, especially for a Country Club. I love the fish sandwich there, more than enough for lunch time.Had dinner a good number of times as well and it is a little more fine dining than the lunch with good specials and always of a good quality.

Have an annual membership here. Its a great course at a good price. Challenging regardless of level. Well kept.The Silverthorn Grill is the best restaurant in ALL OF HERNANDO COUNTY!! We celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary here with another couple and it was fantastic! Unbelievable food like you find nowhere else... The duck, the pork, the trout were Fab! The bread and dip, the chili & crab soup were awesome! The creme brulee was out of this world! The wine was excellent! The live entertainment--we had the saxophonist, incredible! We even danced!! Plus the service is very attentive. You must go!!

Food was good but they did expose my extended family and I to Hepatitis A. Only reason they even get 2 stars is because the bar was crazy cheap.
