Just became a member at this location. While we are all struggling with the changes and policies to keep everyone safe, that is not my issue, I came up against a brick wall. My issue is due to these changes my physical therapist cannot accompany me during my workout and so we had come up with a plan to record my lifts JUST ME no one else to be sure I am lifting with the proper form to avoid injuries. Unfortunatly I was informed today that I could not do so any longer... quite frustrating I might be finding a new gym that can be flexible with these crazy times :-( other then that it is kinda hard getting in as it is but its manageable just the one big issue.Edit: I was able to speak with someone and we were able to come to a new agreement thank you for working with me and understanding the special circumstance that we are all facing.
So grateful to the nice people at the North Y who have made it possible to open the pool safely and wonderful facilities. The water was amazing! I hope to visit 3 days weekly especially after 4 months away. It was heaven. Dont forget your noodle!
The people at this YMCA are phenomenal. The employees in the child watch have been helping watch my son for almost three years now, and he loves them all dearly. My membership is so good for my mental and physical health. We love the pool, the facility, and the things to do outside! My Y membership is essential to my wellbeing!
Would like to give a kudos to Jennifer Haney, during this trying time for all she has gone above and beyond and on her own time to set up Zoom classes for Zumba Gold. She is dedicated and sincerely cares for our senior well being. Excited to get back to some live time.
I stopped going there in July of 2018 because no one would clean the equipment when they were done using it and the kids used the work out machines as their own person jungle gyms. I enrolled in an adult gym instead. This morning I was charged 302 dollars for child care. I dont have a child in their care but my adult daughter does. They choose to bill my card for the debt. They really should remove cards once members no longer go their. This just adds to the reasons I will never step foot in their establishment ever again. Go else where if you think you need a place to work out.
It’s a great place for any family to get exercise together while having fun in the process. Lots of great memorizes have been made here.
Extremely overpriced even with discounts. If you can afford it, great, but its not worth it unless youre using more than the gym. Also, cant seem to directly call here without having to go through multiple lines. There are no direct numbers listed anywhere. Very inconvenient
Nice, caring staff. Great gymnasium with plenty of basketballs to share, clean bathrooms and family bathrooms. New, easy to use exercise equipment and the best spa jets

The guy at front desk ripped me and my four n one yr old. He Charged us $35 for a day pass when we only went wanted to go swimming we didn’t need a full day pass for the whole facility Which would only cost eight dollars per child including the adult charge so do the math got over charged
Refused to cancel my membership when requested to do so. Still charging me for membership two months later.
The equipment, weights and the floors are so dusty. It doesn’t look like anyone cleans it. I always have a runny nose everytime I’m inside. For how much they charge I would expect the Workout area to be clean.
The staff at this YMCA is very helpful courteous and kind. The building is impeccable as far as clean and proper. All the machines seem to be clean and working including internet and TVs. Locker rooms are stacked and monitored seems like bi hourly. Really enjoyed my visit.
Impossible to log into my account(s). I always have a difficult time registering my child online and have to pay full price over the phone. Poor structure in the entire program.
The YMCA was so accommodating and warm for our group of high school students visiting Spokane to visit local colleges. We were blown away by the quality of customer service and their attention to our needs. Not to mention, the facility is beautiful! Thank you so much to the staff especially Ryan, Jocelyn, and Steven. I would highly recommend this facility to any school groups or individuals just looking to work out.
Cancelling my membership after only being there a year. I use the north location as it is closer to my new house. I have had numerous experiences that were uncomfortable. People wearing jeans and yoga pants in the hot tub, the smoothie shop employee who is never there, the locker rooms are absolutely disgusting, grime and mold all over the place. Every hand rail in the place is sticky. Employees seem nice enough and have been helpful or I would have given 1 star. This is a great find if you are paying on a low income pricing, but for anyone paying full price, you get better value elsewhere.

My family and I are at the North Y almost daily. The staff is super friendly (especially Olivia) and they are always willing to help. There is usually not a wait for equipment and when equipment is not working they are on top of getting it back up and running. There are plenty of activities for my son while my wife and I workout. The pool is fantastic and is usually super clean. The only draw back for me is it can be hard to get a swim lane in the afternoon. It seems there is always something going on in the lap pool and that makes it difficult to swim for exercise. There are also outdoor activities like disc golf and basketball. I recommend the YMCA for anyone looking for a facility that caters to the whole family....regardless of age!
5 Star because they have a nice outdoor area. Outdoor track, disc golf and other gaming activities. Wonderful indoor activities to enjoy.
The ymca has something for EVERYONE, I THINK everyone should join. Its affordable. Its income based monthly rate makes it easy for EVERYONE to join.
Pro: Its a nice building (and clean) and even during peak hours Im still able to use a machine. All the machines that provide a tv connection are actually connected and there are a number of channels to watch (all things considered). The staff is also nice and friendly. Plus - theres a awesome pool.Con: The classes are slightly limited as compared to other gyms, additionally the cost is still a little high (student 3 month pass is around 80-90$, where some other gyms cost a little less - but the Y is more convenient so willing to pay).

This is quite possibly the nicest ymca I have ever been to. The pool is clean and well guarded. The work out equipment is very nice. They have limited child care while you work out.

Disappointed in the amount of kids activities and classes that come free with membership. My 6 year old is also bored out of her mind when in the child watch sinch its geared towards babies but she isnt old enough for game room. Thinking the amount we pay isnt worth it since my kids are bored.
Ive gone to the why ever since I was little. Its a great place! The staff there are great people and work hard. Id recommend this place to anyone I know!
Free weight area is way too crowded with equipment. Everything is packed so tightly together that when people are added in with the equipment theres hardly room to move without bumping into someone.
Love the y, the swimming programs are the best for me, but there is a lot more to do there also, so go check it out and have fun.see you at the pool.
I am recovering from an accident and the resources here are helping me greatly. The only problem I have is with the behaviour of some of the kids. One of them actually bashed my head on the side of the lazy river. I am recovering from a concussion and this certainty didnt help. I was disappointed in the life guards lack of control over such unruly behavior.

Fun place and nice place to get your workout done every friday they do a thing where you can go out back and roast marshmallows or sometimes hotdogs. they have loads of activities like karate, taekwando, swimming or swimming lessons.
The morning and evening classes are a lot of fun! Pool is closed until next week for renovations.

Im a highschool student who would like to play basketball on the weekends, but today we were all kicked out due to the pickle ball players anger towards others. I dont come to the YMCA to be attacked verbally by senior citizens.

Started off bad with them charging my card saying my boyfriend owed a balance yet they never informed us and they never had permission to chcarge my card for a balance they say he owed, I got that refunded after a big hassle, now I thought we had it all figured out my boyfriend called and explained everything and that he didnt owe a balance I thought we were good to go, I go in the other day and I have 6 kids so when I go to workout alone Im on a time limit and they tell me go talk to Costumer service people that there was a problem with my account, so I sit there and ware 20 minutes of my workout they tell me the other adult in my account owes a balance and I need to pay it, um no there isnt a balance owed and i dont feel like going thru the mess again I just went through, also I sent my 3 littlest to the child watch 6,5 and 1 1/2, I asked if the 2 older ones could stay with the younger one we dont do daycare or sitters so he needs familer faces, about 20 mins in my workout they come get me saying hes crying, my kids informed me they didnt try and calm him down, give him his juice cup or anything they just came to get me. I called customer service and they said if I child is crying that they need picked up, whats the point for me to pay such a high price Im a mom that needs the child watch part to full utilize my membership and they dont even try to have a baby quit crying, they need better staff in there that knows what to do with kids not just teenagers that panic. Im not very happy with my membership at all, and the whole reason I came here from muv is its family orenitated but if I cant even get a workout in than its not worth it.
If you are wanting to take lifeguard training-do it else where. Our instructor constantly rolled her eyes and yelled at the group. I seriously felt bad for some of the people in my group. Cant believe how badly they were treated.
