So fun to take a kid under 3 here. Most places are not made for little littles. Totally recommend on a Saturday.morning sometime!
Lovely little playspace for young kids. The highlights are a well stocked toy grocery store, water table, and big train table. On both floors, they also have a baby space that allows the little guys to crawl around and play and is super convenient for a parent of multiple kids. Admission is fair and works for repeat admission later in the day, so its a great option to play for a few hours, go home for lunch or nap, and return in the afternoon. Space was very clean and well staffed.
This is a lot less busier than the Greenville museum because its for pre-k kids. Our kiddos had an absolute blast at the water table and playground! There are two levels. The water table is on the lower-level along with the activity lab. The upper (street) level has a play gym with slides, grocery store area, play kitchen, and crawler space. I really appreciate how the staff was VERY attentive to the kids, and they were constantly picking up after them, cleaning the groceries, and putting them away for the next child to enjoy.
We didnt know what to expect since we had already been to the one in Downtown Greenville. Honestly, we did imagine it being much bigger with more things to do but I am very satisfied with our visit here. We had ages 2, 5 & 10 with us for our visit. They didnt really enjoy the upstairs area at all so they were getting bummed. But, all of that changed as soon as we turned the corner from the steps & they laid eyes on the water table. The water table at this location is much much better for smaller children. My 2 year old absolutely loved being able to sit in the table to play all while being surrounded by water. We will definitely be back for another visit soon.
This is a great place to take young ones. There is a lot of fun for younger kids here. They have a water table that our son plays with for most of the time we are there. Great experience and fun for the price of admission.
We had an amazing time with our 15 month old granddaughter. So many things for very young children. We were there two and a half hours and she never got bored. Highly recommend visiting with kids under 5. Not a lot for older kids. But they clearly mention that on their website. Perfect balance for young children without overstimulating them with too many choices. Clean facility with friendly staff.
It was a nice place and fun for the kids. However, not what I expected. We drove 2+ hours. If we are ever in the area we will stop by again but we wont travel just for that again. Facility was great though! Staff that we saw was friendly.
Our granddaughter had a blast. She is 3 and it is perfectly geared for her age. So many things to do and to touch. She loved it and so did we. We will be back again very soon
A scaled-down version of its sister in Greenville, this one is definitely geared entirely toward younger kids (< 5 yrs). For them, its everything it needs to be. The price is right, at only $5.
A fun experience for young children!
We have a membership and attend quite frequently. Its a perfect place for little ones to engage in realistic play in an environment that encourages learning, but is fun first to keep their interest.
Took my 2.5 year girl and she absolutely loved it. They had lots of stimulating activities available. The water table was especially fun. My toddler also enjoyed the story time and sensory play afterwards. Definitely recommend
Fun for children. Fair priced. I hope this location does well.
My son loves it here! My son is a wild one and its nice to get out of the house! He can play as much as he wants and I dont have to worry about him breaking anything or hurting himself. They have a nursing nook, elevator, bathrooms, they do vstoey time, painting, and experiments I think. Its 2 levels of activities for ages 5 and under. Only thing I dont like is the parking situation. But I dont mind because my son is busy for like 3 hrs
This place is awesome for children would be nice if grandparents didnt have to pay .When your doing nothing but watching your grandbaby seems crazy to pay for that !!
Great place for kids.
So clean and fun! Its small but perfect way to spend time with the kids on a lazy Sunday with extremely reasonable prices
Very friendly and clean! Love coming here and spending the day with my nephew
Good playing activity, and field trip learning experience for toddlers.
We had a great time, it was very interesting and fun. Very clean at the museum, we liked the water games
Its very small but fun for children 4 and younger.
My son loved his time at TCMUpstate Spartanburg today. Its new, clean and well designed. The staff were very friendly. There were many activities packed within the space available to keep him engaged for hours. This facility is designed for children up to 5. My sons excitement and satisfaction when accomplishing the goals of the activities made me happy as a parent. It was our first visit and I signed up for the yearly membership.
Worth every penny spent! We spent all day there. You can leave and come back later for no additional charge. They cater to 5 and under and its something for all to do. Definitely recommend.
My two grandchildren ages 3.5 & 16 months had a wonderful time. several areas were set up for different age groups. The personal was awesome. Great experience! Would highly recommend this to young children under 5.
Great place to take young kids. Its very clean, has lots to do and has a huge water table downstairs with soft play.
My almost 3 year loves this place! We have been twice now and plan to get a pass as our family Christmas present.
We really wish this museum would ve bigger, but our toddler really enjoyed her time here.
Great water table. Loved the science demo. Friendly staff.
Great place for my little ones to play and learn!
On the smaller side, but staff was friendly and helpful.
We love the new Spartanburg location! Since its smaller, its great for a quick trip. We have the membership and go all the time! The boys love it! (4 and almost 2)
We love this paceDefinitely for the little kids but my 5yo still had a good time. The yearly membership sounds like a good time. We didnt do the classes but hope to next time.
Went to birthday party here. Lots of activities and play stations for kids and they provide activities and pizza for parties. Great place for an afternoon with kids.
Its a good place to bring your little one to play.. its little small area but theres two stories of fun
Great place for a toddler play date and/ or any busy child
Kids and adults all had a great time
Parking was great and so were the staff. Price was alright but expected a little more, actual contents of museum was okay nothing impressive. Will choose different activities else where for next outing.
My babies loved it here with their grandma!
My daughters ages 10 months and 8 years enjoyed themselves. It is geared for younger kids but it was truly fun. Ms. Louise was super nice and made our first visit wonderfu
The museum is perfect for toddlers! They have tons of activities including a grocery store, a tree house with a slide, and a water table (they have aprons to keep the kiddos dry). It truly is a wonderful place to let your kid run off energy and learn too.
My little boy loved every minute! Not to mention, the price for me and him was only 10$! Which was awesome! He loved the story time, finger painting, and all the other cool activities they had!
My son loved it. Great place
Truly wonderful place to take a preschooler
Wasnt what I expected but my little girl loved it well worth the money.
Great place to take kids! Plenty of stuff to do!
My three year old granddaughter loved it!
Carried my young grandson today and he had a blast! Great for the younger kids who like to explore different things! Will definitely be going back!
Super friendly staff! They went above and beyond to learn my little ones names! Not nearly as big as Greenvilles, but for the targeted age group, theres plenty to do and my little ones never get bored! Im the mom, after 4 hours, Im still having to drag my little ones one crying, wanting to stay and play!!!
Great place! Geared toward 5 and under. Tons of ways to engage your little one.
Small venue. Too many parents on cell phones and oblivious to what their children are doing. Disappointing.
My 1.5 year old son and I came here on a Sunday for a birthday party and playtime. We have a membership to the Childrens Museum of the Upstate, but wed only ever been to the museum in downtown Greenville. We like the museum in downtown Greenville, but we LOVE this museum. The Childrens Museum of the Upstate- Spartanburg was designed for children under the age of 5. They have two designated baby spaces (under 18 months). They have a huge kitchen space, a treehouse with slides, tons of books, blocks, an enormous train table, and a water table that could accommodate babies and toddlers alike. We had such a good time! The birthday party was fine. The museum provided activities that were excellent for an older age group, but my son did not seem to enjoy. We felt very rushed, especially about the cake and pizza part, because the room was only available for one hour. The birthday kid didnt even have a chance to open his presents! But most of the frustration was likely due to the age of the guests and the unpredictability of what all the toddlers wanted and needed at any given time.
A wonderful place to take my grandson. They have many things there for him to be interested in.
Horrible...there was a lady following us arround saying you cant do that . We took our 7 yr old and 7 month old. We were told that there wasnt much for the 7 yr old because it was for 5 and under, but the lady consistently followed us making sure my 7 yr old didnt break anything... we will never return
Great place for SMALL children! We had fun!
Always such a fun time! The staff is very friendly.
We are so pleased with the Childrens Museum of the Upstate coming to Spartanburg! Its a wonderful experience and both my kids (4 & 1) adore it and can spend hours here.
The old proverb says give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach that man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime. If you give a child the opportunity to discover and learn from the start, that child will continue to explore and learn for a lifetime. This place is a gift that will continue to give back to Spartanburg for many years to come.
Wonderful place for kids to play and learn!
Another great addition to the downtown Spartanburg area for kids!! Great way to spend the day or even host a birthday party here!
One of the best places in Spartanburg for young children. My 3 year old wants to go everyday.
Great place for all ages!
Great place for kids but there is only two hour parking available which only allows you to be at the museum for a certain amount of time vs the one in Greenville where you can be there all dayAlso I dont understand why they dont give customers the wifi password
Great for younger children to run around and have fun inside
The kids lived it. So cute
We loved coming to the Childrens Museum!
Kids loved it.
Super fun spot. We are annual membership and plan to go every Saturdays.
Absolutely love the scale of the place relative to young children.
Was a lot of fun
Great spot to take young children during bad weather, restless days or just because. My son spent hours playing in all the different play stations and loved it.
Kids had a great time.
Very disappointed in the Spartanburg Childrens Museum today because it is not for all ages like it states. Took a 7 yr old and 11 yr old with 3 adults and there was nothing there for them to do. I would say the Spartanburg Childrens Museum is for children 5 and under. The staff is very friendly but not a place for children above 5 yrs old or adults. The Greenville Childrens museum is great and for all ages.
Such a fun place for your little one!!
Great place to bring the kids.
Small and efficient, only the better exhibits for ages 1-4
My son had a blast
Fun for kids
Good for children.
Cute for kids !
Friendly staff, new facility and toys
Great place for the kids!
